“Kate has been walking my dog for a few months now. She's been consistent, reliable, and done a great job. My dog shoes her and the walks they go on. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Katie is amazing! We are new to GR and were nervous about finding someone to walk our dog. Katie was incredible! She was 100% on time, she listened to what our dog needed (wanted to turn around early on their walk) and then spent the remainder of their time hanging out! I could not be more thankful to have someone like Katie!”

“Jasmine is an awesome dog walker! She was very attentive and left some of the best notes I've ever had from a dog walker/sitter, which I really appreciated. She also used rover cards, which helps a ton, so I know where Moe walked and how far during the day. 10/10 will use again. I can also tell she has a lot of good experience working with animals. Thanks Jasmine!”

“Brian did a great job checking in on Mochi when I had to work all day. He took him for a walk and made sure he went potty. Gave Mochi lots of treats and attention! Thanks again ?”

“I would highly recommend Maelee. She has walked Scout multiple times now and is always on time and a great communicator. Plus the cute pictures after the walk are always an added bonus 😊”

“I am a very over protective doggie mom. I met Claire and instantly liked her and so did my Daisy. She helped us out for a few days and I cannot tell you how pleased and grateful I am for hiring her. She is wonderful with dogs (and mine is strong and a bit wild). My dog LOVES her! I cannot recommend Claire enough! I wish this offered more than 5 stars!”

About: Pet Sitting Profile I’ve been around animals my entire life, and I’m always happiest when I get the chance to care for them! I’m moving back to Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 15, and I’m hoping to buy a home in the summer of 2027. In the meantime, I’ll be staying with relatives, so pet sitting and house sitting feel like a great way for us to help each other. I can earn some extra money toward my future home while getting to spend time with some amazing animals, and you can have peace of mind knowing your pets and home are in caring, responsible hands. A little about me: I’m 35, gay, and a friendly, responsible professional who works in hotel sales. I’ll be working fully remote, which gives me plenty of flexibility to be available and give your pets the attention and care they deserve. I currently have a 3-year-old large dog will be getting to vacation at his grandparents. Thankfully, my parents will be helping care for him. which allows me to take on pet sitting and house sitting opportunities. My experience with animals goes well beyond dogs and cats. I’ve had two saltwater aquariums with fish, corals, anemones, and more, as well as a large freshwater aquarium that I maintained for years. Growing up, I also owned several reptiles and have experience helping care for chickens, ducks, and other animals. Whether your pets need walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, aquarium care, or simply someone trustworthy around while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help. I genuinely enjoy animals and will treat your pets like they’re my own! I am relocating back home to Grand Rapids on September 15 and I will be working in a fully remote capacity from 10:30am-6pm. I will have a very flexible schedule and no commitments outside of work so last minute needs are easy to accommodate. I do travel for work periodically but that will get communicated well in advance. I have my travels through April on my availability already. I am most comfortable caring for the pets in their own environment. I will be living with relatives upon my return so cannot care for animals in my home unless there is a specific situation that is discussed in advance. I’ve watched relatives and friends pets for years and I am comfortable in many different housing situations!

“Michael N. is a SUPER STAR and I can't imagine giving over the care of my Paco to anyone but Michael. I feel 100% comfortable leaving my pet with Michael because I know he will love and care for him just the same as I would and having that peace of mind is worth everything to me. I find Michael to be a genuinely kind and caring person and Paco loves him to bits so that's good enough for me. I HIGHLY recommend Michael and so does my Paco! He is simply the best!”

“This was our initial walk for introduction and it could not have gone better. Cooper can be a bit reactive and that did not phase Daniel one bit! At one point Daniel bent over to tie his shoe and Cooper went in for a smooch opportunity! I am thrilled!!!!! The boys are thrilled! Daniel is terrific, kind and patient. Welcome aboard to our pack ?”

About: I've raised and cared for my baby dog Lola also known as lolanaptimepartygirl since I was 10, pets have always played a very important role in my life. I love animals of all kinds and ages having 4 senior dogs of my own. I believe all animals deserve love and respect as they are not only friends but family, and it is truly an honor to get to exist in a world where we are able to connect with and care for such beautiful kind creatures. I work a part time job that's pretty flexible so I'm relatively available whenever. My schedule changes weekly so just let me know what you need and I'll make it work! “I cannot express how thankful I am to Leah for providing dog walks three times a week and dog sitting for multiple vacations since August! My recently departed Albie is normally super fearful, but he actually opened up to Leah! She was able to care for him despite his little quirks. And Wicket absolutely adores Leah! He looks forward to their daily walks. Leah has stayed at my home multiple times when I’ve had to be out of town and watched both dogs. I never have to worry when I know she’s staying with them. Added bonus - my place is tidier than when I left it! Leah is the absolute best. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

Zachary did an awesome job walking my dog Phoebe! He took all instruction on board, genuinely cares for all her needs and nuances and has great communication. He kept me updated on how the walk went with messages and photos, he’s very reliable and trustworthy with the care of your pet, couldn’t recommend enough!

Raven is awesome! She responds to requests super fast, she’s great at communicating, and she took great care of my dog Ding. She was even able to accommodate a last minute walk request. Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Thanks Raven!

Claire and Spatzle are slowly working on an introduction. He is a nervous and reactive boy so we are working our way to being able to do overnights and drop ins. Her vet med hx and experience with a reactive dog is SO helpful in knowing how to interact with him and it's going great so far.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
