“Alexandria checked in on our two golden retrievers and was great! She was communicative, on time, and took good care of our pups! Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I used to operate a rescue and shelter outside of Atlanta. I have experience with all types of animals in all types of conditions. Familiar with special needs, dietary restrictions, after surgery care, blind animals and more. I have always been an animal lover and I currently have 3 dogs I would like to make pet care my full time job. I currently do some side work in the construction field but would really enjoy spending all my time with the pets if possible I have a fenced in yard and two fully separated areas of the house and garage that open into the yard that can accommodate any animals who aren’t comfortable around other pets. I let my dogs on the couches and beds and they have free reign of the house
“Kate did a wonderful job pet sitting my two cats. She is an excellent communicator and dedicated to the job. I want to emphasize dedicated and committed because she was sick and high fever however she never missed a day or reduced visit time. I even gave her the option to reduce drop-in visit time but she pushed through. One of cats needs medication and she seemed to handle that just fine. I’d recommend her.”

“Sara helped me out by doing a few drop-in visits on relatively short notice. She was communicative, friendly, and got along well with our animals. I would absolutely use Sara again.”

“Melissa did a great job with my frail elderly dog and two cats. She was super conscientious, thorough, and communicated well. I will definitely call again next time I go out of town. Thanks, Melissa!”

About: I'd love to walk your dog and give them the love they deserve! I have experience pet sitting and walking, as well as riding and training horses growing up. I also love to run and would be happy to run with your dog if they need to get more energy out! Currently, evenings work best for me. Walks anytime after 5:30 should be fine on weekdays, and I am more flexible on weekends- I can often do walks in the afternoon as well. I am not able to provide pet day care right now. I would love to walk dogs, but can not take them into my home.
“Cats were fed, pet, and happy. Loved getting the photos with the report, and she even cleaned up a few messes with no complaints! Thank you so much!”

“Maelee was amazing! First time using Rover and I was impressed how thorough and thoughtful Maelee was caring for my dog. She was super punctual during her timed visits, always provided pictures of my dog consistently and communicated very well during her visits. I HIGHLY recommend Maelee to care for your pets!!!!!”

“Tired dogs are happy dogs, and my three are both today. They had a great time with Hannah over the weekend. Walks, play time and snuggles. Thank you, Hannah for taking such good care of my dogs again. You are the best!”

“Brain was great with our medically fragile and slightly grumpy cat. He was quick to communicate and was competent in finding ways to get around our cats demeanor. He did what he needed to do to keep her safe and did everything he could to also make her feel as comfortable and taken care of as possible. He was great and we will definitely be using him again to care for our kitty.”

“Molly was great! She communicated very clearly and even double-checked the window of time I requested for her visits, which involved medication. I had inadvertently mentioned two different arrival times, which were close but not the same. Another person could have thought, "Oh, I'll just go at such and such a time. Close enough." But Molly took the time to reach out and double-check. I appreciated that. When visiting cat, did everything just right! I recommend Molly!! 😊”

“Jasmine is wonderful and highly recommended. My puppy Teddy has adopted her as one of his people. My shy guy doesn't quickly adapt to many humans but he looks forward to Jasmine's visits each week. 5 Stars for sure!”

“Thanks so much for watching Spud, and for adding another day for me at the last minute when my flight got delayed!! Really appreciate it. He definitely enjoys playing with the kids.”

“I left my dog, Theo, with Kelsey and Forrest for a few hours, and definitely plan on using them again in the future! They were very accommodating, and facilitated a meet-up beforehand, so that Theo could get comfortable with them and their space before his stay. When I dropped him off, he didn’t even look back! Kelsey and Forrest are very trustworthy and obviously animal lovers.”

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs since childhood. My friends, family, and co-workers have trusted me to care for their fur babies! I have a senior pittie with reactive/aggressive behavior, so I do have experience and empathy towards that! I work full time Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm but can drop in after work or later in the evening as well. Friday-Sunday are my more flexible days! I fully respect the owner’s schedule for their pet and will follow whatever instructions are needed to ensure your pet is safe and cared for properly. I would ask the same for my own!
“Kaitlin did a fantastic job watching my two cats while I was on vacation! She paid close attention to details, asked great questions, and provided daily updates with photos. My cats warmed up to her quickly, which was great to see. I would definitely have Kaitlin watch them again.”
“Oh my goodness, amazing! It’s clear she is an animal lover and caretaker. The thoughtful updates on what the kitties were up to and what she did during her time at the check in were so helpful and made me feel so at ease. Will DEFINITELY rebook. Thank you SO much Moira!!!”

“I am so thankful for Leah! She did an amazing job with my kitty Groucho. Groucho was having trouble with taking his medication while I was away, and she brought kitty safe baby food to mix it into for him so that it was stress free! So freaking kind. Groucho also socialized with her a little bit and when we got home he had been grooming himself! I was so happy to see that my cat really truly trusted her and was okay while I was on vacation. Thank you for what you did for my baby Leah!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Grand Rapids
Suzanne’s son Henry did an amazing job of caring for my two cats this week! He sent several pictures and a short detailed description of what the cats were up to each day. It was obvious that my cats liked him! Henry scooped the litter every day, kept the water bowls full, spent dedicated time playing with the cats, and left a sweet note on the table at the end of the week. 10/10.

We had a great experience with Beth! She took wonderful care of our senior cat, Apollo, while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and followed all of our care instructions. The updates and photos gave us peace of mind, and we knew Apollo was in great hands. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Booking with Kelsey & Forrest to take care of my cat was such a great experience! They were very communicative, sent pictures and videos of my cat, provided updates, and took very good care of my girl 🐱. This was my first experience with Rover and it was very pleasant. If you want someone that’ll take care of your pet like their own, don’t hesitate to book Kelsey & Forrest. I will definitely book them again in the future :)

Natalie was a godsend! Our kitty is very shy and does not approach easily, but she took to Natalie right away. Natalie was also very communicative with sharing updates & photos, which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend, and would gladly welcome her back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
