About: I’ve cared for my own dog from puppyhood for the past four years, all over the country, and have cared for family dogs since I was a child. I’ve completed multiple training courses with Say it Once Dog Training in Colorado and A Pleasant Dog in Michigan, giving me experience in both puppy and obedience training. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, including senior dogs, and can administer medications when needed. I bring patience, consistency, and a genuine love for animals to every visit. I am an ABSN student and am available to give pet care Friday through Monday. I can work around your pet’s routine to ensure they get consistent attention, feeding, and playtime while you’re away. I provide in-home pet care with safety, trust, and comfort in mind. As a dog owner myself, I understand the concerns of leaving your pet in someone else’s care, I will follow your pet’s routine, maintain a clean and safe environment, and give plenty of attention and supervision while you’re away. Your pet’s wellbeing and peace of mind will be my focus.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals ever since I was a child. During college I was beginning to pet sit on Rover on the side and continued this after I graduated. I have now been enjoying pet sitting in the Grand Rapids area for about 3 years. I had enjoyed pet sitting so much I got my dog Nova (the German Shepherd in my profile). She is fully vaccinated and very friendly to all people and pets. I have thankfully been able to continue pet sitting for those who are comfortable with me bringing Nova along. She is completely house, e-collar and potty trained. So far she has come with me to pet sit cats and a range of dogs ages of puppy to 14 years old. I am always open to doing an in person meet with the pets to determine if this is an option people are comfortable with before solidifying the dates. If you have any further questions please let me know! I have a full time job Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. I would be looking for walks before or after work, overnight on weekdays, or weekend sitting. I am looking mostly for jobs away from my house, but I live in an apartment complex that is animal friendly with a fenced in dog park area to play in. I always ask to see what the expectations are from the owners first because everyone has different environments in their home for their pets. My biggest priority is to make sure that the dog/cat is safe and happy.
About: Hi! Although I am new to Rover, I am not new to pet sitting! My name is Kathy and I have years of pet experience! Over my lifetime I have taken care of many types of animals including dogs, cats, fish, birds and reptiles. If your pet is exotic and I haven't taken care of one before, I am open to learning the proper way. I am a long time, 25 year resident of Plainfield Township and love this community. Currently I am retired and have 3 senior cats that are my life! In the past I have owned or take care of many dogs, from small to large including: chihuahuas, papillons, pomeranians, Lowchens, irish wolfhounds, hounds, sheperds, chinese cresteds, St. Bernards, dachshunds, collies, shelties, shiba inus and more! I have taken my own pups to puppy class and have experience with positive reinforcement! Although I prefer your dog is leash trained, I am willing to work with them. If there are additional things you need done while you are away or at work, please let me know! I can water plants, take out trash, clean up pet messes, get your mail, etc. I believe you should be able to trust the person you're allowing in to your home and feel confident your pet and home are being treated properly and with respect. I look forward to helping my community with their pets! Kathy Since I am retired, I am available most days of the week, from approximately 8 am to 10 or 11 pm. If there are days that are unavailable, I will update you. At this time I am only caring for pets in your home. I will provide them with love & attention, walks, feeding, meds and clean up after them. If there are other things you need checked on like mail, plants, or have security concerns please let me know!
About: I have been around pets my whole life, but started taking more responsibility for my pets and other families pets 5 years ago. In the past year however, my knowledge on pet care has skyrocketed. Although I have been walking dogs and pet sitting for a few years now, most of my experience has come from when my family had 11 (yes 11) dogs. After convincing my mom to adopt a shelter pup last year, we found out she was pregnant with 9 puppies, so with the momma, the litter, and the other dog we had at home, our hands were pretty full. I didn't know my love for dogs could grow bigger than it already was, but after helping care for those puppies from the day they were born until the day the last one got adopted, my love for all dogs grew immensely. I still have my hands full, my parents have 3 dogs and my husband and I have 1 pup from the litter at his house, so my experience in pet care is not lacking. Aside from my families' experience with pets, I have dog sat for many family friends, and have been a dog walker for many of my neighbors as well. I can provide references upon request. While I have many dogs in my life, I always have more love to give to your dogs :) I have varying availability due to my grad school schedule but have a bit of time every day between classes and after classes for walks and drop ins! Most Thursday afternoons-Sundays I have plenty of availability for more walks, boarding, and drop ins. I would love to chat with you to see how I can care for your pet in my schedule :) Currently I am in an apartment without a fenced in yard but with plenty of space nearby for walks and playtime. Since I am in an apartment, a lower energy dog would be ideal for boarding at my house. If I am staying at your place, I can work with any energy level.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was young. My neighbors and friends trusted me to house sit, bathe, walk, feed and play with their pets. I’m a full-time student at Grand Valley State University while also working early mornings (4-5 hr. shifts) at FedEx on Wednesdays. And as a front desk associate from 8-5pm on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday When I am at home with my dogs, I like to take them for walks and engage their minds with dog games. I would love to meet and care for your pets.
About: I have been with rover, dog bording for about 3 years now. I love animals, they are my favorite. I pet every dog I see. I have also been around animals my whole life. When I was younger I had a dog named rocky, he was a cocker spaniel and a beagle mix, I had him for 13 years. When we had to put him down part of my soul left, he was my best friend. I know what its like to love your beautiful animals, through hard times they are always there for us. They are all created with beautiful souls, we are so lucky to have something like that by our sides. With that being said, I would love to take in your pet as if it were my own. Thank you for reading.
Northview cat parents share their Rover experiences
Maia was the best catsitter ever, 100% will rebook and even told our babies (cats), that she's their new furever babysitter. We came back from our week long vacation to happy and relaxed cats. We enjoyed the updates Maia sent daily, along with all of the adorable pics. Thanks again Maia, for taking exceptional care of Silvi and Spike!!
