“Genevieve was a great dog/house sitter for my German Shepherd! She sent regular updates with pictures and left the house spotless. We’ll definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Fantastic. Would highly recommend. Communicated the whole weekend, dogs were a gem to come home to; not overly upset that we left them, and almost sad to see us and not Julie :)”

“MacKenzie was great, staying the night with our dog Maizie and cat Woody. We had to cut our trip short and she was very understanding. You can tell she loves animals and that's the #1 thing we would look for.”

“Tayler was very responsible and took great care of our two dogs. She was responsive and easy to work with too. The dogs really enjoyed their time with Tayler. I would highly recommend her as a dog/house sitter”

“I do not know where to start other than Hillary went above and beyond for my furbabies Piper and Paislee. The night before Hillary was suppose to come stay at the house Paislee became very ill and was at emergency vet from 615pm until 6 am. I explained everything that was going on to Hillary and for not ever watching Piper and Paislee she was very attentive to Paislee as we had to leave 2.5 hours after getting her home to the airport. I cooked everything I needed and left all medications on the counter and let her know the times of next doses. She seemed comfortable with everything and I couldn’t have been lucky enough to find her. She used her best judgment and I couldn’t have been anymore blessed with her caring PIper and Paislee. I was able to get updates about every other day due to our traveling plans. I let her know many times how grateful I was. Then I came home to a beautiful letter and she washed all the blankets from the dogs, towels, and the guest room bedding. She do not have to do that but I am grateful. Hillary went way above and beyond caring for our dogs. Thank you Hillary from the bottom rny heart!!!!!!!!”

“Hanna did a great job with our Stella. She kept us up to date on everything with many pictures and videos to ease our peace of mind while away! She did much more than expected when cleaning the apartment before we arrived home. Would definitely book again!!”

“Deborah was fantastic! She watched my 10 year old rescue lab mix for a week, who required daily meds and lots of attention. She made adjustments to make sure she kept up with regular meds and eating. She also provided frequent updates and pictures! ❤️ Highly recommend!”

About: I've pet sat on and off for neighbors since I was a kid and grew up with dogs and cats in my own home. My childhood dog was the sweetest pitbull so I don't have any preconceived notions about any breed I love them all! I'm currently in real estate photography so I do shoots on and off during the day so if planned I can do stop ins and walks throughout the day. But for longer pet care I can do overnights on weekends. I'm very gentle with all animals but I also know how to handle difficult situations very well. It's very important for a pet owner to know how to deal with aggression/fights, sickness, running from the house, etc. and I've dealt with all of this and more.
“What a great sitter! We had Anya stay at our house for a couple nights to hang with our dog. She was kind, attentive and communicated great. Sent such great pics throughout and left us a nice note. She kept our girl happy and the house clean. Will definitely use her again if she is willing to”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing with our pup! She followed our guidelines perfectly and our pets loved her. She house sat for us as well-house was left exactly how we left it. Couldn’t be happier with her services-highly recommend Taylor for any of her services.”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including senior pets with special needs. I’m reliable, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m a Senior Finance student at GVSU with a remote schedule. Looking to take on more responsibilities while I have a flexible schedule to do so. I maintain a safe, calm environment and closely follow each pet’s routine and care instructions. I’m attentive to behavior, medication needs, and comfort, whether caring for pets in my home or theirs.
“We couldn’t be more grateful for Ivana. We have one dog that is very particular and fearful of new people, and another that is a big goof. The combo of them makes for quite the time but Ivana was up for the challenge. I appreciate how she takes time to learn the details of the dogs, provides great updates, and is just an overall compassionate wonderful person. It has been a sigh of relief while we’re away to know she’s keeping them safe and cared for. :)”

“Ashlyn did a great job caring for my dog in my home over several nights. She was responsive via text, sent photos, and the house was in great shape when I got home. Would book again!”

About: I work remotely, which means I’m home a lot and able to give pets real attention throughout the day, not just quick check-ins between errands. I’ve been a dog owner since 2009, and while my two dogs sadly passed away a few years back, that long experience really shaped how I understand routines, personalities, and all the little quirks that make each pet unique. I usually keep things crate-free so dogs can relax and feel at home; they’re welcome to lounge on the couch, their bed, my bed, or wherever they choose, and I want them to feel like they’re just hanging out in their second home. If your pup is crate-trained or prefers a crate routine though, I’m totally happy to stick with that too. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and sticking closely to their normal routine, whether that’s walks, playtime, meals, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I’m pretty used to everything from energetic zoomies to picky eating to strong opinions about walk routes, so I try to meet each pet where they are and make them feel at home. I also keep pet parents updated with regular photos and messages so you’re never wondering how things are going, and can relax knowing your pet is being well cared for (and probably a little spoiled). Working from home gives me a lot of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into the day; walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout. Most pets are rarely left alone for long periods, which can be especially helpful for dogs that get anxious or just like having company. Overall, I try to keep things steady and predictable for pets, since they tend to do best with routine; regular walks, meals, playtime, and companionship built into the day so they feel comfortable and cared for. I offer flexible pet care in both my home and the client’s home, depending on what works best for each pet and their routine. In my home, pets are treated like part of the day-to-day household in a calm, pet-friendly environment where they can relax, play, and settle in comfortably, with consistent routines for feeding, walks, rest, attention, and plenty of time for play and companionship so they feel at ease and not bored. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping everything as familiar and stress-free as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine and following any specific instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and anything else that helps them feel secure, while also making sure they get plenty of one-on-one attention so they still feel cared for while you’re away. If I’m house sitting, I also help keep things running smoothly by bringing in mail, watering plants, and making sure everything stays secure, and I always provide regular updates with messages and photos so you know how things are going. Since I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate midday check-ins, overnight stays, and longer care periods, and I’m also pretty adaptable if anything changes last minute. My goal is simply to make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for the whole time.

“Bianca was great! She sent us pics or videos everyday of Emma and I could tell Emma loved her! She took her for walks and kept nice care of the house. Highly recommend!”

Northview pet parents share their Rover experiences
We were gone for 11 days and felt completely at ease knowing our dog and home were in such great hands. Jenny was incredibly flexible, we had an early morning departure and then a delayed return flight, and she didn’t hesitate to accommodate both, which made travel so much less stressful. When we returned, our dog was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Our house was spotless, honestly, it looked like no one had even been there. What really stood out was Jenny’s attentiveness. She quickly noticed when our dog started having GI issues and immediately reached out. After we spoke with our vet, she went and picked up the medication for him without hesitation. That level of care and initiative meant so much to us, especially while we were out of town. We would absolutely recommend Jenny, though part of us wants to keep her all to ourselves! 😊

We could not have asked for a better dog sitter. Ivana truly went above and beyond for our two Great Danes, and that is no small task. Our older girl can be stubborn and sometimes fearful of new people, but from the very beginning she showed incredible patience, understanding, and kindness. Ivana took the time to earn her trust and made her feel safe and comfortable, which meant everything to us. At the same time, Ivana handled our huge almost 200 lb great dane boy with ease and lots of love, giving him the attention and care he thrives on. It was clear throughout that Ivana genuinely cares about dogs and treats them like her own! Communication was excellent, we felt completely at ease while we were away!!! We would 100% recommend Ivana to anyone — especially those with large dogs or dogs that need a little extra patience and compassion.

Lillian was quick to respond and set up a meeting and greet with us prior to our weekend getaway. She asked great questions and took notes regarding the care of our senior Min Pin, Alex. She kept everything in our home very clean and sent many pictures of the adventures she and Alex had together over the weekend. Our dog was very relaxed when we came home and we think he misses Lillian already! Do not hesitate to book with Lillian.
Abbey was one of the best Rovers I've had for house sitting my dog!! She gave me updates every 1 to 2 days with pictures during my week long vacation, which was great! She also left my apartment exactly how I left it - dishes, towels, and bedding washed (and even made the bed!) Would definitely book Abbey again if needed :)
