Please feel free to provide as much information as possible. Never feel like it's too much. I leave behind a binder of info on my dogs when I leave them for sitters, and I'm happy to have as much detail as possible. It's really key to know what their main triggers are for stress, anxiety, and possible food allergies.
A typical day
When walking dogs, I like to make sure they get a mix of proper exercise as well as exploration time to sniff their environment and enjoy their walk. At their home, I like to find out what activities they are most into and work with them on that. For example, if they are very treat-motivated, set up a treat puzzle or snuffle mat for them. I also like to be time mindful and make sure that if they need to eat, they do so after heavy activity to reduce the risk of bloat and upset stomach. I also like to leave dogs with something nice, sweet, and distracting, like a frozen Kong or peanut butter to enjoy (diet allowing).

I am a lifelong dog lover who has been working in pet rescue and dog fostering since 2009. Working in dog care full-time since January 2025. Sitting for your pets isn't just a side gig for me. I truly care about your pets and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. In early 2026, I completed my certification as a Remedial Canine Massage Therapist. And have my LLC (Relax and Heel pet care and dog massage) with insurance for pet sitting and dog massage. In the last year, I have done dog sitting and walking for various types of dogs, including high-energy, blind (special needs), young puppies, and those with medical care needs (post-surgery). My former career was in computer graphics, so I LOVE taking photos and videos and love providing fun recaps of my time with the pups with lots of pictures and video for the parents. **House sitting - for me, I do 12-14 hour overnights at your home, plus an additional drop-in visit (45 mins). Happy to add on more drop-in visits for a reduced fee of $20 a visit.** ***I service the northern and eastern Grand Rapids area and a general mile radius surrounding these areas. Those who fall outside of the general service area may be serviced for a small additional fee.***

This was my best experience with a dog sitter! i’m a bit of a helicopter dog mom and amanda followed all the instructions i left for her! my pittie mix was loved and cared for so well, and i was also reassured the entire time i was away
Very pleased! All the animals (1 dog and 2 cats) were well taken care of with daily updates and photos. Amanda went above and beyond the agreed upon plan with a carpet cleaning from one of the cats, cleaning food/water bowls, and messages for the elderly dog! Highly recommend!
Mandee provided exceptional care for our 2 cats (& checked on our home/mail/trash). We appreciated the updates and pictures she provided. She played with our fur babies and made sure they were set with litter, food, and water each day. Would recommend and definitely book her again.
