We have secure fencing in the backyard. My home is dog friendly and I make every effort to keep all dogs safe and happy. I do not let dogs free feed in my home. I feed them twice a day, once in the morning and evening. The reason I do this is to not have any food conflicts. I haven’t had a dog that hasn’t been able to adjust to this schedule. If your dog is unable do this for any reason, I will feed he or she multiple times in a separate room. If your dog sleeps in a crate each night they can do so here. They are welcome to sleep just about anywhere in my home.

Information Susan M. would like to know about your pet
I love all breeds of dogs, but I can not sit for dogs who are aggressive. I want all dogs and people to be safe in my home. Dogs need to be neutered/spayed and UTD on vaccines. I also cannot sit for cat aggressive dogs. Chasing, barking, and growling at the cats means they can not be trusted around cats. It is unfair for the cats to hide all day(s). Your pet’s food is your responsibility. If there is a special bed your dog likes, please bring it. Otherwise, we have several comfy beds that your dog can sleep on.
A typical day
We have a large secure backyard where the dogs can romp and play. It is important that your dog feels secure and happy. If that requires some extra lap time and love, we got that! We live in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks and a park.

Nice to Meet You!
Pet care experience
Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have experience with small dogs to extra large dogs. I was involved in dog rescue for many years. Specifically Weimaraner Rescue. I am reliable and will treat your pet like my own. My own family consists of 3 grown children, my youngest, Derek, is 28 years old and lives at home. My other 2 are located in CA and Grand Rapids. We have 2 dogs, Sony who is 60 pounds and is a mixed breed. It has been said that his mom was part bloodhound, but I think a Rhodesian Ridgeback may have been involved in his breeding. Sony is a rescue and his home state was Alabama. He can be overly exuberant when he first meets a new dog. After he settles down with the new guest, he is as cool as a cucumber. Daisy is a 3 year old Golden Retriever. She weighs 50 pounds and is on the small size for a Golden Retriever. Daisy came to us from a puppy mill in Indiana. Daisy is a sweet girl who loves to play with visiting dogs. Daisy is the hostess with the mostess. She is up for what ever the visiting dog wants to do., I do have 2 indoor cats, Snow and Lance. For the safety of my cats i won’t be able to sit for dogs that chase, lunge or are aggressive towards cats in anyway. Thank you for understanding.

Reviews

Penny does well with Susan and her two pups. She’s been back several times and always comes back healthy and happy.

Susan is great with my pup. She sends me updates and takes great care of my girl. I would not hesitate to leave my dog in her care.

Susan was great with my dog. She played with her outside and sent updates. She also had great communication and punctuality. I would feel comfortable leaving my dog with her anytime!

Thank you for the wonderful care that you gave Leo!
