About: Hi! I am a junior at GVSU studying Radiation Therapy. I have pet sat and dog walked for family and friends for years. I’ve taken care of dogs ranging from nervous chihuahuas to chunky Rottweilers! I’ve also cared for many cat personalities too. I’ve volunteered at West Michigan humane society in the cat and small animals department. I also have a love for reptiles and rodents. I currently have 2 five year old Guinea pig girls, and my roommate has a Russian tortoise! I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, fostering and adopting dogs, taking in barn cats, a few pet fish, and having a leopard gecko for 10+ years. I have a lot of time available, and would love to assist your family! As a busy college student- I actually have plenty of time to stay in someone’s home as I can study! I have scheduled classes 10am-3pm Tues, Wed, and Noon-2pm Thurs. I can be flexible depending on your needs. When caring for an animal in a clients home I want to understand the animals personality, needs, and quirks. I love playing with animals, giving them affection, or just being in their presence. I make sure your pet/s have plenty bathroom breaks, constant clean water, fed at appropriate times, and feel loved. I’m happy to abide by oddly specific instructions, my own animals require some silly requests :-) Every animal has different levels of trust, and I am always patient to gain that trust and not expect it. About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals in my lifetime since I’ve been 12 years old. I have also taken care of my extended family’s pets while they’ve been away. About: I have been around animals for most of my life and have over 50 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Over the years, I’ve owned about nine dogs and currently have an Australian Shepherd and two sugar gliders, so I’m comfortable with both active dogs and animals that need more specialized care. However I am the one who's retired and gets to be home with any fur babies 24/7 so you will be working with me directly. I have a fenced in backyard, a friendly Aussie who likes to play and numerous sized cages if your dog prefers that for sleeping or escape. I take a walk everyday (usually to the park two blocks away) and I would be happy to include your dog on my daily walk. If I come to your house , I'd be happy to walk your dog around your neighborhood , play ball or frisbee in the backyard or work on commands .. I have done all of these in the past.

She made sure to ask all the necessary questions to feel comfortable watching my cats, sent photos and updates, stayed on top of everything they needed, and left my apartment clean! She also responded promptly and took on a last minute request for an extra visit when my flight home got cancelled and caused me to get home a day later than expected. Based on the photos, the cats had a great time and were comfortable with her, even the very skittish and anxious one.
Samantha is wonderful. She was very detailed during our orientation and asked great questions. We had some major vacation issues which required us to modify our plans. She was very accommodating and understanding. It is obvious that she loves animals and did a great job following our instructions. I can’t thank her enough. This was our first time having a pet sitter. Beth was professional, reliable, and wonderful with our 3 cats. One of our cats is 16 years old, partially crippled, and needed meds.
