Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I work from home and have more than 15 years of pet care experience, which allows me to provide a structured, predictable environment for dogs in my care. My days are organized around feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, rest periods, and individual attention. Dogs are not left to fend for themselves and are treated as members of the household during their stay. Because I intentionally keep my boarding program focused on well mannered, house trained small dogs, I am able to provide a calm environment with consistent routines and personalized care.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, dogs are cared for as part of the household and follow a consistent daily routine that includes potty breaks, meals, rest periods, playtime, and individual attention. Because I board only small dogs that meet my admission requirements, I am able to maintain a calm and predictable environment. For safety, all dogs must be crate trained. Dogs sleep in crates overnight and may be crated for short periods during the day when needed. Dogs are never allowed to roam unsupervised at night, and they do not sleep in my bed. I carefully review each dog's temperament, behavior, and care needs before accepting a booking. I do not accept aggressive dogs, dogs with severe separation anxiety, or dogs that are not fully house trained. Open communication is important. The more I know about your dog's personality, routines, and needs, the better I can determine whether my home is the right fit. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, low stress environment where dogs can relax and enjoy their stay while their families are away.

Information Evvia M. would like to know about your pet

Before booking, please tell me about your dog's personality, daily routine, energy level, and any medical needs. I especially appreciate knowing about: • House training history • Crate training experience • Separation anxiety • Barking habits • Resource guarding • Reactivity toward people or other dogs • Escape attempts or door darting • Destructive behaviors when left alone • Food allergies or dietary restrictions • Medications • Fears or triggers Please also let me know if your dog has ever been asked to leave a boarding facility, daycare, grooming appointment, training program, or pet sitting arrangement. The more information you share, the better I can determine whether my home is the right fit and help ensure a safe, comfortable stay for your dog.

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I adjust activities based on age, energy level, and personality. My goal is to provide a balance of exercise, mental stimulation, relaxation, and companionship. A typical day includes outdoor potty breaks, walks, supervised playtime, enrichment activities, meals, rest periods, and plenty of affection for dogs that enjoy attention. Some dogs love to play, while others prefer to lounge nearby and watch the world go by. Both are welcome. Because I care for dogs in a home environment, they spend their day as part of the household rather than sitting in a kennel. Dogs have opportunities to explore, sniff, relax, and enjoy a predictable routine. I believe dogs benefit from structure, so each day includes time for activity as well as time to decompress and rest. My goal is for every dog to leave feeling safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

FIRST TIME ROVER CLIENTS: USE PROMO CODE EVVIAM50832 FOR $20 OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING Hi, I'm Evvia. I've been caring for pets for more than 15 years, and over the years I've learned that successful boarding starts with finding the right fit. My home is designed for small, friendly, confident dogs that can comfortably adapt to a household routine. Not every dog enjoys boarding, and that's okay. Some dogs thrive in a home away from home. Others are happier receiving care in their own environment with a house sitter. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, structured environment where dogs can relax while their families are away. My Ideal Boarding Guest To be a good fit for my home, dogs must meet all of the following requirements: • Weigh 45 pounds or less • Be friendly with people and other dogs • Be well mannered in a home environment • Be fully house trained • Be crate trained • Be comfortable sleeping in a crate overnight • Be able to settle comfortably when away from their owner • Be able to spend reasonable periods of time without constant human attention • Be able to adapt to a household routine without excessive barking, destruction, or anxiety Dogs Are Not a Good Fit If They: • Weigh more than 45 pounds • Have a history of aggression toward people or animals • Require medication specifically to cope with boarding or separation from their owner • Are not fully house trained • Use puppy pads indoors • Require diapers • Require routine sanitary care such as rear end wiping • Cannot be crated • Need to sleep in bed with a human • Bark excessively • Have severe separation anxiety • Require constant supervision • Have a history of escape attempts • Display destructive behaviors when left alone House Training Dogs must be fully house trained. I do not use puppy pads indoors, and I do not provide ongoing cleanup for dogs that routinely have accidents inside the home. An occasional accident in a new environment is understandable. A dog that regularly urinates or defecates indoors is not a good fit for my boarding program. Crates and Sleeping Arrangements All dogs sleep in crates at night. Dogs do not sleep in my bed. Crates help create a predictable routine and allow everyone to rest safely and comfortably. Medication I am happy to administer routine medications for medical conditions when discussed in advance. However, dogs that require medication specifically to tolerate boarding, separation from their family, or being in a new environment are generally not a good fit for my boarding program. These dogs are often happier receiving care in their own home with a house sitter. Senior Dogs Senior dogs are welcome provided they remain fully house trained, mobile, and able to comfortably participate in a normal household routine. Sanitary Care I do not provide diaper changes, puppy pad management, routine rear end wiping, ongoing incontinence care, or other extensive hygiene support. Food Owners are responsible for providing enough food for the entire stay. Sudden food changes can cause digestive upset, so I prefer dogs remain on their normal diet whenever possible. Vaccinations and Health Dogs must be current on legally required vaccinations and must be free from contagious illness at the time of drop off. Meet and Greets Meet and greets are available prior to booking. They allow us to discuss your dog's personality, routine, medical needs, and determine whether my home is the right fit. The goal is not to convince each other to move forward. The goal is to make sure your dog will be comfortable, safe, and successful during their stay. Trial Stays For longer boarding reservations, I strongly recommend a daycare visit or short overnight stay beforehand. This helps everyone determine whether the environment is a good fit before committing to an extended stay. Updates I know leaving your dog can feel stressful. Photos and updates are available throughout your dog's stay so you can relax knowing they're doing well. Honesty Matters You know your dog better than anyone. Please disclose any history of aggression, resource guarding, escape attempts, excessive barking, separation anxiety, marking, destructive behavior, bite incidents, or other behavioral concerns before booking. The more accurate the information, the better I can determine whether my home is the right fit. If a dog's behavior differs significantly from what was disclosed before booking, I reserve the right to contact Rover and arrange alternative accommodations if necessary for the safety and well being of everyone involved. If you're looking for an experienced sitter for a friendly, well mannered, fully house trained small dog, I'd love to hear from you.

I am at my wits to understand how Rover could rate this person a 5! To begin with, notwithstanding I long ago recorded all my answers to your complete set questions regarding Margo’s health, etc., needed written answers to approximately 25-40 questions and on her email form including a copy of Margo’s complete vaccinations, sent back in a specific way that I, being 86 and not overly familiar with hi tech procedures, was unable to to do, requiring my drink to my vet, at the last minute to get nd deliver to her. Her home. And, then, she did not ask for answers to the remainder of her many questions. Her business is in a residential home and is NOTHING like the place she advertises, is on an extremely small lot, dirty and cluttered, with no evidence of a dog run, etc. Margo came home with mud covered paws. I have had approximately 6 visits to Rover recommended sitters, all perfectly satisfactory….with this one, my confidence in Rover’s ability to to rate its sitters is shattered!

We have used Evvia twice now, and we will continue to return to her services! She is an excellent pet sitter and treats our dogs as if they were hers :-) we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. 10/10 recommend.
