“Theresa did a wonderful job of taking care of Diesel while we were on vacation. He loved playing with the other dogs and came home tired! Thanks for loving on Diesel so that we could fully relax during our time away. 100% recommend Theresa for boarding. :)”

“Our experience with Sarah was great! This was our first time using Rover and Sarah was very accommodating. She invited us for a meet and greet before our pup’s stay, was very responsive and offered updates on how he was doing. She made us feel very comfortable and we knew our dog was in great hands.”

“Dan and Kelly are great! Communication about the stay was excellent and I appreciate their flexibility with drop off/pick up times. The daily pictures/videos are much appreciated as we miss our sweet boy while we’re gone. Booker had so much fun playing with the other pups and he came home happy and tired- a perfect stay!!”

“Christine and her crew were incredible and did a great job. Thor came home exhausted and without any bad habits (begging from the table, attempting to get on furniture, etc). Great communication before and throughout the stay. Thor loved his time with Cornelius and is looking forward to his next visit.”

“Anne was great with Murphy! He stayed for a week and I received picture and status updates daily. Murphy was well taken care of and he loved playing with their dog as well. I would definitely request Anne to watch Murphy anytime we needed a sitter. She is highly recommended!”

“Teri was very nice and treated my dog as if she was her own. I felt very comfortable meeting her in person and I could tell my dog enjoyed her stay with her. Would definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve cared for, trained, and loved animals for 40+ years and would be happy to care for yours while you are away. I know how important check ins are so you can be sure your fur baby is well & happy! I work from home most days so my schedule is flexible and allows me to be home with your fur baby! My home is comfortable and pet friendly and if they are sun seekers I have a great deck for them to lounge on. I have a fenced in back yard with room to roam and live in a safe cul-de-sac neighborhood perfect for dog walking! Couches are not off limits in my house 😊
“We were SO pleased with how Erin and Brian took care of Willow! Even with little quirks that Willow had, they were willing to adjust to make her comfortable. We would highly recommend them to watch your fur babies.”

“Renee always does a great job for us. She’s very dependable and communications with her are prompt and helpful. We can rest easy knowing Renee will take excellent care of Chewie while we are away!”

“Pam always takes amazing care of my little guy and I so greatly appreciate that she sends tons of cute updates about the fun he has playing with her own dogs. I always know he is in safe hands.”

“I had such a great experience with Sylvia! She was very attentive, kept me updated with pictures and videos, and was flexible with timing. She even took my dog to the beach and went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and well cared for. My pup came home clean, loved, and spoiled. She was so sweet to my dog, and I’ll definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Franny had the BEST time. Kailee and her kids were so incredibly sweet with our puppy, and they were so welcoming and accommodating to her young puppy needs. 10/10 recommend! Franny absolutely loved their huge backyard too.”

About: I am a mother of 6 children, plus 2 dogs (a silver lab and a pointer mix), 1 cat, 2 fish, and 2 guinea pigs. I have taken care of pets since I was young. When I was a kid we had dogs, cats, and even a raccoon and baby skunk throughout the years. I fostered cats and kittens through the humane society for many years. Once my own family grew and got busier I stopped doing that and adopted 2 cats of our own. Myself and my family will treat your dog(s) like our own! If your dog likes to sleep in a bed with their human, I have many willing participants who would love to do this for you! We have a fully fenced in backyard with a lot of dog toys (thanks to Barkbox!) and our kids love to take dogs for walks! I am home most of the time so I am able to provide lots of hands on care and attention. I am a registered nurse who works very part time, so I am usually home. I am 100% willing and capable of administering medications in any form, injectable included.
“Dan was awesome to work with, and his dog Penny is a sweetheart that immediately welcomed my young, anxious rescue lab Goose into her home. He made sure Goose felt comfortable in the house, provided him with sufficient exercise, and sent me daily updates with pictures and videos. Highly recommend Dan to anyone in need of a sitter!”

“Kris & family were extraordinarily amazing! We felt confident our dog was being loved by their family, just as much as being loved by our family. Without any doubt we would rebook!”

“It was our first time using rover and we are very happy with our experience. We were able to enjoy our vacation because we knew Finn was being cared for. We loved getting pictures of him from her. We would definitely use Jillian again.”

“Susan was a wonderful caregiver to our Darla. She sent us messages with updates letting us know our girl was settling in nicely. She also made us aware of the extra TLC she gave Darla the first few hours as she acclimated to her home. This was our first time leaving Darla with someone outside of family and we are so grateful Susan was available and so sweet to our girl. We highly recommend her. She’s an excellent caregiver and comforter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hudsonville
Faith is an unbelievably reliable pet sitter / watcher / cuddler. At this point, I think our dog likes her more than us, as he gets super excited whenever we're close to dropping him off at her place. If you need a kind, attentive, reliable pet sitter, then Faith is your person!

We always appreciate Jenna's care and flexibility working with our Cavalier. She always communicates well, follows our instructions concerning his care, and showed great flexibility , offering to extend his care time when we were unable to pick him up when agreed. She also dealt kindly with him when he had some "accidents" in her home. Having this type of care for our dear little dog makes all the difference.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
