“Tracy was great to work with for a last minute stay. Our timid dog was incredibly comfortable with her right away, and was tired out when she got home. We will use Tracy again.”
“Felix was great with my dog Sadie! She can be a bit shy and anxious in new environments but warmed up in this safe and comfortable environment. She had a great time playing with the other dogs! Felix was very responsive and provided updates frequently”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens since I was 16 years old. I’ve taken care of a wide variety of dogs, from small to big and young to old. I currently work part time and I am in school 3 days out of the week. I prefer to board your pet in the comfort of your own home instead of an unfamiliar home. I love to keep your fur baby company as often as possible. I love to cuddle and love on them. I also am up to doing multiple walks and lots of playing.
“Kristina was perfect! She responds very quickly and made sure Ellie felt right at home. Ellie got along great with her dogs and had the best time for the whole week. I would book again!”

“Samantha is fantastic. We've booked her multiple times this year, and never been disappointed. Our dog is on the older side and needs a bit of special care, and Samantha takes wonderful care of her. We always trust that our dog is safe and happy in Samantha's hope. 10/10 will rebook in the future!”

“Addy did an amazing job taking care of my Chloe. I was worried since this is my first time using Rover. Addy helped by sending pictures and giving updates. My Chloe looked like she was having fun. I would definitely use Addy again.”

“Brittany was AMAZING! Sent me so many check in photos, my dogs looked like they were having a blast. They didn’t want to leave when we came to pick them up 😅. Highly recommend her.”

“Christine and her crew were incredible and did a great job. Thor came home exhausted and without any bad habits (begging from the table, attempting to get on furniture, etc). Great communication before and throughout the stay. Thor loved his time with Cornelius and is looking forward to his next visit.”

“Micheal & his family were wonderful to Ripley! He was kept busy and given lots of love; Ripley’s Velcro personality was satisfied. Will be using Michael again - great care giver.”

About: I’ve grown up with many dogs and cats in my lifetime. I currently watch my son’s dog when they travel. I have a large home and 2/1/2 acres in a country setting . We are retired and would provide many hours of care towards your pet.we are available anytime throughout the week.Your welcome to visit my home prior to sitting. I live on 2/1/2 aces in a large log cabin in a country sitting. I don’t have any pets as of now and this would fill that void. I’m currently on list to take care of pets for active duty military when they are deployed. I’m also a veteran and active in the American legion.
About: I have taken care of animas my whole life. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats. Comfortable giving medications if they are needed. I am home all day Thursday through Sunday. The days that I do work, there is still time set aside for each pet after I arrive home. During the warmer weather, we typically spend lots of time outside. I have a fenced in yard. I do own 3 medium-large sized dogs that are great with other dogs. I do also have a cat and a toddler. I make sure that the toddler is never left alone with the animals. If I am doing drop by visits for pets, your home will be treated with respect and your pet will be taken care of appropriately.
“Daniel was amazing! From the very beginning, he invited us to his home so we could feel more comfortable and showed us his backyard. While Nala stayed with him, he kept us updated with photos and messages the whole time. He was super attentive and always made sure everything was going well. We could really tell he cared about Nala. Highly recommend him! 🐶✨”

“This is the second time we’ve had our 2 pups stay with Jenn and she was AMAZING as always! Our pups were a little bit more work this stay and she was so patient, kind, and communicative throughout it all. I will always recommend Jenn to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

About: I have owned dogs for over 15 years. I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up around large German Shepherds, a Doberman and too many cats to count. Today I have much smaller dogs. Mr. Miygai is around 19lbs and looks like a terrier mix but is part Chi and part Mini Poodle. Zoe is all stumpy tail Cattle dog mix and about 30lbs. Both love other dogs and get along great with them. Mr does prefer smaller dogs. Over the years I have owned 2 Dachshunds and a Sheltie Mix who was deaf. My Doxies lived to be 15 years old and one survived back surgery. I have experience taking care of young and old dogs. I am very comfortable with providing medication as well. I would love to take care of your dogs and treat them like they are my own. Currently taking a break from the corporate world. Have a lot of time to help others. Available most days of the week including weekends to take care of animals. I have a fenced yard and 2 of my own dogs. They have free roam of the house and yard. Dogs are treated as family.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Zeeland
Nicole did such an amazing job with our girls. Communication was great. She send tons of pictures to help ease my mind. Her whole family was so good with the girls. I will def use her gain when needed. My girls have a new retreat to go too. They loved it and her family.

Tracy was amazing with Lady! She kept us updated with lots of pictures, which made this nervous dog mom feel so much better. She even went out to buy shredded cheese to help Lady eat. I knew Lady was in great hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Tracy again!

Samantha was absolutely wonderful with Luna! From the start, she made Luna feel comfortable and welcomed, and Luna got along great with her dog, Victory. It was obvious that Luna was having a great time and was well cared for throughout her stay. One thing I really appreciated was the regular updates and photos. It gave me so much peace of mind to see Luna happy, playing, and settling in so well. What stood out most was how much love and attention Samantha gave Luna. It was clear that Luna wasn’t treated like just another dog she was watching—she was treated like part of the family. Knowing Luna was safe, loved, and cared for made being away from her so much easier. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Samantha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their dog!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
