About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs and cats has always been a part of my life—not just a job. I’ve grown up around pets and truly see them as family members, so I understand how important it is that they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals. I also have hands-on experience from working at a dog kennel during high school, where I learned the importance of routine, cleanliness, and recognizing different pet personalities and needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy cat, or a senior pet who needs extra care and gentleness, I’m committed to making every pet’s time with me happy and stress-free. Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. I’m currently working at a doggie daycare, I mostly work in the afternoon. My schedule can be flexible but for the most part I have work from 12-6:30 in the afternoon. I enjoy structuring my days around feeding times, walks, play, and companionship so pets receive consistent attention. Ideally, I’m looking to do pet care part-time, which means I can be reliable, present, and attentive when pets need me rather than rushing through visits. I care for pets by closely following the owner’s instructions and routines to ensure consistency and comfort. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of love, patience, and compassionate attention. I focus on meeting each pet’s individual needs—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and quiet time—while making them feel safe and cared for. I live in a quiet, pet-friendly apartment with plenty of space for your dog to relax comfortably. While I don’t have a backyard, I take regular walks in safe, green areas nearby and always supervise outdoor time. About: I have pet sit, walked, ran, leash trained, and mentally stimulated dogs of all breeds since a kid. Each dog needs all of these things in different ways and I am here to figure that out to insure your pup and you get the best from me. I used to be under the LLC Dogs On the Run Grand Rapids, but life (two children, moving to Holland etc) put that on hold. I am now so excited to start giving Hollands furry family members what they need! I would love to meet you and work with you and your dog to give them the energy and visit or stay that they need! I have ran and walked dogs no matter the weather. Visits and Stays will come with pictures, arrival and departure time, a map of where we walked/ran, and any notes of our adventure! Send me a message and lets talk about your furry friend today! I am currently working, but that can be worked around your schedule and your pets needs. I am always willing to find the best scenario and schedule! For those going on walks and runs, we will work with what you use and what works best for your dog. All dogs are different. Also, what you want from your dog is different as well. If they need some leash training we can do that as well. My car is dog friendly, so if ball at the park is what they need, or a swim, I am down for that as well! Variety is the spice of life! About: As a former pet owner of two dogs and working at a vet office for eight years has given me hands on experience which I treasured. I’m that person who will remember a dogs name before the owners name. 🤪. I’m new to Rover and look forward to meeting new pets. I’m recently retired and would rather walk with a dog than alone. This would be a seasonal “job” which is more therapeutic than anything. I have been a responsible pet owner so doggy bags will be used and litter box cleaned. Taking care of pets is a joy for me.

I am currently working part time as a painter, part time with Rover, and volunteering for Harbor Humane, but worry not. I can make my schedule completely open for any pet care needs. I will rarely be unavailable. I prioritize your pet’s routine and comfort above all. Whether that means leash walks through your neighborhood, supervised backyard play in their familiar space, or respecting crating schedules you’ve established, I adapt to what works for your pet, not what’s easiest for me. I ensure fresh water is always available, meals are served on time, and any special instructions (door security, alarm codes, plant watering) are followed exactly. Beyond the basics, I make time for real connection like belly rubs, play sessions, or just calm companionship for anxious pets. You’ll come home to a pet who felt cared for, not just looked after.

About: I've been taking care of dogs for most of my life. Puppies to the end of life care. I also volunteer with Harbor Humane society. Pet care is my real day to day joy. Currently, this is a side job, but I would love to have regulars and make this a full time gig! I have training from Dog Gurus, in dog behavior. I have worked at dog kennels, and have training in dog handling of rescues. I want to show your dog to not be afraid and to enjoy our time together.

About: My name is Emily and I absolutely love all furry friends! I used to have a rescue dog which was a papillon but sadly she became sick. :( I have also rescued a cat that we owned for couple months before finding him a forever home! I miss having a dog or pet around and would love to help care for your furry family member! I am a teacher so I am fairly open during the summer and still available on the weekends during the school year and some afternoons/evenings. Our family can still board your pup on Tuesdays-Thursdays but they would just have to go longer stretches before a walk on those days. I do have two sons who are 7 and 4 so I do ask that your pet be good with kids. They both absolutely love animals. The only breeds we are not comfortable with are pit bulls, boxers and Rottweilers. I am a very active person and love taking love walks and runs outside. Our family is not in a place to own a pet permanently right now, so we love taking care of other animals! Our yard is not fenced in but we provide multiple walks a day for your pup! We have had great success with this with our other dogs.

About: I provide an in-home pet care experience for families with dogs, cats, and other pets. I started offering services professionally in 2016, through word-of-mouth, while located in Grand Rapids. On a personal level, our family included both dogs and cats while raising our children, and I grew up in a family with dogs and cats as well. I joined Rover to help me connect with pet families upon moving to a new location. My schedule will revolve around your fur babies while I'm caring for them. I am a former dog and cat owner, and I want your pets to feel comfortable and have fun while you are away. I currently work from home (or anywhere) part-time so have the flexibility to prioritize your pets' care. I provide attentive care in your home, allowing your pets to stay in familiar surroundings. I believe having patience and allowing your pet to make the first move is important when first establishing a routine or any sort of bond. Anything you or your loved one needs for our time together, I'm there for it all! I have always had a passion for animals and find it an absolute blessing to spend time with any and all. WHAT I CAN DO: I am comfortable with pets of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels. This includes pets that need medication, special dietary restrictions, or even pets that don't like to be too close but just need a little company- I'm just happy to meet your pet no matter what they need! MY PET BACKGROUND: I have experience housesitting with dogs/cats for up to a week. In this time, I maintained the house, watered plants, fed both cats and dogs, took care of trash and mail, etc. My family has had up to 8 dogs at once, ranging from puppy to senior. Now, we currently have 3 dogs and even a pet rabbit. I found a passion for training pets/encouraging good behavior, which led me to teach my pup tricks like roll over, bang bang, dance, etc., and we both loved every minute! We also took in a stray feral cat (was stuck in a car hood, long story), and for the past few months I have successfully worked hard to make a connection and bond with her! I do also help care for the cat in my home in Indiana. I have given pets medication many times, including wound care, vet visits, and special feeding instructions. I currently work part-time at a restaurant, with my shift typically starting at 3pm. My schedule does tend to shift around, but on days I do work, I am flexible with when I can watch your loved one and am willing to visit as much as possible before and after work. However, when I'm not working, I am more than happy to spend as much time with your pet as possible/wanted. While in your home, I will be around your pet 24/7, making sure they are safe and comfortable. I love playing with pets but can also enforce rules and regulations set up for your pet with ease. I can handle crating, leashing, feeding, picking up messes, and more. If housesitting, I am happy to assist in pickup and general house upkeep, including trash night, collecting mail, dusting, etc.

About: I’ve had animals all my life and hold a special place in my heart for them all! My family has rescued dogs small and large as well as a cat. I’m am currently graduating in May and will be pursing a masters online with that being said I have a lot of flexibility to work with you and your fur baby :) With experiance my own pups I will care for them as if they were my own. I have had larger breed rescues and smaller dogs as well as a cat in my household.
