About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs and cats has always been a part of my life—not just a job. I’ve grown up around pets and truly see them as family members, so I understand how important it is that they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals. I also have hands-on experience from working at a dog kennel during high school, where I learned the importance of routine, cleanliness, and recognizing different pet personalities and needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy cat, or a senior pet who needs extra care and gentleness, I’m committed to making every pet’s time with me happy and stress-free. Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. I’ve had experience working at a doggie daycares and kennels. I mostly work in the afternoon. My schedule can be flexible but for the most part I have work from 5pm-11pm. I enjoy structuring my days around feeding times, walks, play, and companionship so pets receive consistent attention. Ideally, I’m looking to do pet care part-time, which means I can be reliable, present, and attentive when pets need me rather than rushing through visits. I care for pets by closely following the owner’s instructions and routines to ensure consistency and comfort. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of love, patience, and compassionate attention. I focus on meeting each pet’s individual needs—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and quiet time—while making them feel safe and cared for. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to create a calm, positive environment.
About: Hi! I’m Eric. I work full time in child welfare, and in my free time, I care for dogs because I truly enjoy it. Pets deserve the same level of attention, trust, and consistency as people do, and that’s the standard I bring to every visit. I’ve lived with and cared for dogs most of my life. My rescue dog, Avery, was with me for 10 wonderful years. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether they’re hyper, laid back, anxious, or affectionate, I know how to read their behavior and respond with calm, confident care. When I care for your pets, I focus on providing a safe, relaxed, and fun experience. Whether your dog needs structure, play, or just company, I’ll be present and tuned in. I’m not rushing through visits. I treat your home and your pets with the same care I would give my own. You’ll receive clear communication, photo updates, and peace of mind while you’re away. I’m also a photographer, so if you’d like portraits of your pet while you’re gone, feel free to ask. I’m usually available on weekends and take a limited number of clients so I can give each pet my full attention. If you’re looking for dependable, thoughtful care from someone who takes this seriously, reach out any time. I work full time so Mondays to Thursdays I’m available after 5pm. Friday-Sunday I’m much more flexible to care for your pet! Feel free to ask questions. I specialize in drop-in visits and walks for pet parents who want true peace of mind — the kind that comes from knowing their dog or cat is being cared for with attention, patience, and professionalism. Whether you’re at work, away for the weekend, or just need extra help, I make sure your pets feel safe and loved in their own home. I provide calm, respectful care and always send detailed updates so you’re never left wondering how it went. I try to care for your pets as close to you want me to. I can take notes on how you’d want me to care for your pet or you can give me printed instructions.

About: My first job at 12 was dog walking/sitting but I have been a lifelong animal lover! I grew up with dogs and adopted my cat about 8 years ago. I have cared for both young and elderly dogs/cats as well as those with special needs and medical conditions. I am currently a stay at home mom with my five year old son. My availability is very open especially going into the summer months. Although I may not be able to do overnight stays at this time, I can do later evenings and earlier mornings. I do have a fenced in backyard that I can accommodate your pup with! I also have a dog in my home who is very friendly and would love play if you allow it. If not I will keep them separate. I can take your dog out to a local trail or walk them in your neighborhood. With cats I would be vigilant in keeping them away from open doors unless allowed. I know they love to explore small spaces and I take extra precautions to keep my girl safe! I love getting to know all the unique personalities of different cats, I love a good cuddle as well as some fun playtime. I have a special place in my heart for senior kitties.
“My dog is pretty anxious when it comes to new people/being around people when I’m not present, but Jasmine is so great with him! She was able to meet him prior to becoming his dog walker and he loved her instantly.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
