“Kristina was so kind to come the day I contacted her to walk our dog Reggie. I have a cold and didn’t feel like going outside. I’m a caregiver for my husband so it’s important for me to take care of myself so I can take care of my husband. She was definitely a life saver!”

About: I have pet sit, walked, ran, leash trained, and mentally stimulated dogs of all breeds since a kid. Each dog needs all of these things in different ways and I am here to figure that out to insure your pup and you get the best from me. I used to be under the LLC Dogs On the Run Grand Rapids, but life (two children, moving to Holland etc) put that on hold. I am now so excited to start giving Hollands furry family members what they need! I would love to meet you and work with you and your dog to give them the energy and visit or stay that they need! I have ran and walked dogs no matter the weather. Visits and Stays will come with pictures, arrival and departure time, a map of where we walked/ran, and any notes of our adventure! Send me a message and lets talk about your furry friend today! I am currently working, but that can be worked around your schedule and your pets needs. I am always willing to find the best scenario and schedule! For those going on walks and runs, we will work with what you use and what works best for your dog. All dogs are different. Also, what you want from your dog is different as well. If they need some leash training we can do that as well. My car is dog friendly, so if ball at the park is what they need, or a swim, I am down for that as well! Variety is the spice of life! For stays, I do have a dog of my own who is completely pet friendly, so of course our home is too! Any questions, Ask away :)

About: I provide an in-home pet care experience for families with dogs, cats, and other pets. I started offering services professionally in 2016, through word-of-mouth, while located in Grand Rapids. On a personal level, our family included both dogs and cats while raising our children, and I grew up in a family with dogs and cats as well. I joined Rover to help me connect with pet families upon moving to a new location. My schedule will revolve around your fur babies while I'm caring for them. I am a former dog and cat owner, and I want your pets to feel comfortable and have fun while you are away. I currently work from home (or anywhere) part-time so have the flexibility to prioritize your pets' care. I provide attentive care in your home, allowing your pets to stay in familiar surroundings. I love walking dogs around the neighborhood or to nearby parks for daily exercise. At home I'll provide snuggles and love between feedings. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors I might watch for.
About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats for 15 years. I enjoy their company and comfort. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your fur baby, potty breaks every 2 hours and they have access to the furniture in my home. I only take care of one pet at a time — I want to make sure your fur baby gets the care and attention needed.
“Caleb continues to win over the heart of my shy and anxious Miniature Aussie. I highly recommend Caleb as a caring, responsive and very responsible Rover member. We love him! Great notes, great photos, great relationship building!”

“Sam was really great! Milo was a little nervous at first about being walked by someone new, but Sam was so patient and friendly with him. I plan on scheduling recurring walks with Sam!”

About: I currently work from home and am approaching retirement age. I am seeking part-time opportunities while actively building a client base to support my transition into retirement. I love walking and with my dogs getting to senior age I have to limit them to short walks. Looking to walk more and why not with your pet at my side I work from home and am approaching retirement age. I am seeking part time opportunities while actively building a client base to support my transition into retirement I have a fenced in yard with 2 small dogs and a cat. They love walks and getting spoiled and would love your fur baby to be included.
About: I have had dogs my whole life as well as taking care of neighbor’s / family friend’s dogs. I love to cuddle and play for as long as they need. I make sure that they m feel comfortable and safe. However, my love for them does not mean they can do whatever they please and I will make sure they abide by the owners specific instructions. Any day I am free. I am currently taking the semester off in college and need a job to keep me occupied. I also am living with parents to help if anything happens. While my parents usually are taking care of our dog, I take care of him while they are away for as long as 2 weeks before. I play with him everyday and take him out on walks.
About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs and cats has always been a part of my life—not just a job. I’ve grown up around pets and truly see them as family members, so I understand how important it is that they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals. I also have hands-on experience from working at a dog kennel during high school, where I learned the importance of routine, cleanliness, and recognizing different pet personalities and needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy cat, or a senior pet who needs extra care and gentleness, I’m committed to making every pet’s time with me happy and stress-free. Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. I’ve had experience working at a doggie daycares and kennels. I mostly work in the afternoon. My schedule can be flexible but for the most part I have work from 5pm-11pm. I enjoy structuring my days around feeding times, walks, play, and companionship so pets receive consistent attention. Ideally, I’m looking to do pet care part-time, which means I can be reliable, present, and attentive when pets need me rather than rushing through visits. I care for pets by closely following the owner’s instructions and routines to ensure consistency and comfort. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of love, patience, and compassionate attention. I focus on meeting each pet’s individual needs—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and quiet time—while making them feel safe and cared for. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to create a calm, positive environment.
About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs my entire life, with hands-on experience supporting pets through all life stages and needs. Whether your pet requires medication management, specialized diet adherence, mobility assistance, or extra patience due to age or disability, I approach each animal as an individual deserving attentive, compassionate care. I don’t just follow instructions, I notice subtle changes in behavior, anticipate needs, and communicate proactively with owners so you have complete peace of mind while you’re away. I am currently working part time as a painter, part time with Rover, and volunteering for Harbor Humane, but worry not. I can make my schedule completely open for any pet care needs. I will rarely be unavailable. I prioritize your pet’s routine and comfort above all. Whether that means leash walks through your neighborhood, supervised backyard play in their familiar space, or respecting crating schedules you’ve established, I adapt to what works for your pet, not what’s easiest for me. I ensure fresh water is always available, meals are served on time, and any special instructions (door security, alarm codes, plant watering) are followed exactly. Beyond the basics, I make time for real connection like belly rubs, play sessions, or just calm companionship for anxious pets. You’ll come home to a pet who felt cared for, not just looked after.
About: My first job at 12 was dog walking/sitting but I have been a lifelong animal lover! I grew up with dogs and adopted my cat about 8 years ago. I have cared for both young and elderly dogs/cats as well as those with special needs and medical conditions. I am currently a stay at home mom with my five year old son. My availability is very open especially going into the summer months. Although I may not be able to do overnight stays at this time, I can do later evenings and earlier mornings. I do have a fenced in backyard that I can accommodate your pup with! I also have a dog in my home who is very friendly and would love play if you allow it. If not I will keep them separate. I can take your dog out to a local trail or walk them in your neighborhood. With cats I would be vigilant in keeping them away from open doors unless allowed. I know they love to explore small spaces and I take extra precautions to keep my girl safe! I love getting to know all the unique personalities of different cats, I love a good cuddle as well as some fun playtime. I have a special place in my heart for senior kitties.

About: ♡ As an owner of 4 Jack Russell Terrier Dachshund mixes, and a big fluffy cat, rest assured I will care for and keep your pet happy and safe. My 11 y.o. dog, Jackson, 4 y.o. Nala, 2-1/2 y.o. puppies (x2) - CrackerJack and Willow, and my 16 y.o. cat, Kiki, love to make new friends! (Kiki likes the back of the house normally, but was raised with doggos, and she is declawed in the front, so she is happily welcoming new friends, too!) We would all love to add your beloved pet to our friend's list! We all love puppy playtime, walks and playing fetch:) ♡ I am an energetic, fun-loving furbaby lover with lots of treats for your special friend. Your pup will get personalized service from me without hesitation. As my favorite handler says, "Learning an animal's language is a must!" ~ Caesar Milan ♡Message me with any questions or concerns you might have as you are away, and I will be happy to snap pictures, capture special photos, and videos of your furbaby(ies) while you are away, too! ♡ TLC INCLUDED ♡ I previously worked for The American Red Cross and taught Pet CPR and First Aid, so rest assured your pet will be in great hands! • I am currently in Rover training to be a dog trainer. Out of the four modules required, I have one left to complete! I aim to get certified by end-July! As an Artist, I work from home, so I will be giving 24/7 care to your furbaby and give them special attention the entire day and night. 🐾 Typically, we all get up at 5.30-6.30a and I take them out, and we nap zzz for another hour or so. Then it's our walk time, and we like to go around the neighborhood as well as going to the boardwalk right next door for fun. We spend our days indoors and out and about, pending weather. My yard is not fenced, but I take Jackson and Nala and the puppies for a walk every morning, and outside as needed (every two.ish hours). There is a fire hydrant right across the street from my front door- puppy approval 10/10! I recently purchased a baby gate, to open up in my front yard, for the furs to pay outside in! My four love it! (About the size of an SUV or so.)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Holland
Kimberly went above and beyond. For starters an amazing commutator. She responded so fast to my request, had lots of availability for a meet and greet, and responded to all my questions later quickly and thoughtfully. She also sent me a full detailed report describing her visit with pictures and videos. Kimberly LOVED on my dogs, and gave them more time and attention than required. My two dogs have special needs and she was very experienced, dependable, and successful with them. She is such a warm person to be around, I will definitely rebook with her again.

I would recommend Kira to anyone needing dog care services. She walked our dog Wiley during a long weekend while I was away. She was dependable, on time, pleasant and Wiley was always happy to see her. If I need help with Wiley in the future my first choice will be Kira.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
