“Beth was super loving and caring for my kittycat 😺 This was her first time with a cat, and she did great! Communication was ever present with pics to help me feel at ease😊”

“Thanks Pamela! Duke seemed to have had a wonderful time. Pictures of him playing in the back yard with other dogs were much appreciated. He certainly slept well in the car on the way home! If we are in the area again we will certainly contact you to take care of "old-man" Duke.”

“Katherine and her family were AMAZING! They kept us posted and the communication was excellent. Our dog Nala had a really good time and definitely will bring her back to Katherine next time!!”

“Thank you for a great stay! When we walk into your home, it's like your whole family is excited to see Stella. I appreciate the notes and pictures and I'm grateful we will see you again.”

“Theresa was wonderful and took great care of our pup! We even had some delays traveling, and Theresa was very flexible and communicative. Highly recommend and will definitely board with her again!”

“Christoper was fantastic with our two dogs. We use rover regularly and he has been one of the best so far. We had to book last minute for a trip to GA and he was nothing but helpful. We got regular updates and felt like the dogs were in great hands while we were miles away. They came back to us happy and in probably in better shape than when we left them. Highly recommend Christopher and his kids.”

“Sam was great! Larry had an awesome time hanging out with them. They were very professional, responsive and caring. They treated Larry like he was one of their own. When future needs arise we will for sure contact Sam again.”

About: I’ve cared for, trained, and loved animals for 40+ years and would be happy to care for yours while you are away. I know how important check ins are so you can be sure your fur baby is well & happy! I work from home most days so my schedule is flexible and allows me to be home with your fur baby! My home is comfortable and pet friendly and if they are sun seekers I have a great deck for them to lounge on. I have a fenced in back yard with room to roam and live in a safe cul-de-sac neighborhood perfect for dog walking! Couches are not off limits in my house 😊
“Sylvia is such a blessing. She was extremely communicative and caring for our dog! She took him on last minute over the holiday and we couldn’t be happier with finding her! Thank you so much Sylvia, we appreciate you so much and look forward to booking with you again next time.”

“Thank you Derek for taking good care of Charlie! He was worn out. I was super nervous leaving him as being a lab he is a strong and hyper dog but you put me at ease in your ability to handle him. Thanks again!”

“Amber is an amazing dog sitter! She made sure our pooch was well taken care of, and was gentle in introducing him to her own dogs. Our dog even got to play in a dog bath. Great experience!”

“Terry and his wife have a genuine love for dogs and an understanding of their needs, and the dogs can sense it. My older dog is typically quite anxious being separated from us, but when we visited Terry’s home for a meet-and-greet, she went right out into the yard to explore without hesitation. I had confidence that my dogs were in good hands and would receive lots of love and attention while we were away, and I was not mistaken. Terry texted pictures of Riley and Ava every single day and was particular about learning their specific needs and peculiarities before we left. It is SO reassuring to know our pups have a second home that will love and appreciate them if we have to be away again in the future.”

About: I am a mother of 6 children, plus 2 dogs (a silver lab and a pointer mix), 1 cat, 2 fish, and 2 guinea pigs. I have taken care of pets since I was young. When I was a kid we had dogs, cats, and even a raccoon and baby skunk throughout the years. I fostered cats and kittens through the humane society for many years. Once my own family grew and got busier I stopped doing that and adopted 2 cats of our own. Myself and my family will treat your dog(s) like our own! If your dog likes to sleep in a bed with their human, I have many willing participants who would love to do this for you! We have a fully fenced in backyard with a lot of dog toys (thanks to Barkbox!) and our kids love to take dogs for walks! I am home most of the time so I am able to provide lots of hands on care and attention. I am a registered nurse who works very part time, so I am usually home. I am 100% willing and capable of administering medications in any form, injectable included.

About: I have pet sit, walked, ran, leash trained, and mentally stimulated dogs of all breeds since a kid. Each dog needs all of these things in different ways and I am here to figure that out to insure your pup and you get the best from me. I used to be under the LLC Dogs On the Run Grand Rapids, but life (two children, moving to Holland etc) put that on hold. I am now so excited to start giving Hollands furry family members what they need! I would love to meet you and work with you and your dog to give them the energy and visit or stay that they need! I have ran and walked dogs no matter the weather. Visits and Stays will come with pictures, arrival and departure time, a map of where we walked/ran, and any notes of our adventure! Send me a message and lets talk about your furry friend today! I am currently working, but that can be worked around your schedule and your pets needs. I am always willing to find the best scenario and schedule! For those going on walks and runs, we will work with what you use and what works best for your dog. All dogs are different. Also, what you want from your dog is different as well. If they need some leash training we can do that as well. My car is dog friendly, so if ball at the park is what they need, or a swim, I am down for that as well! Variety is the spice of life! For stays, I do have a dog of my own who is completely pet friendly, so of course our home is too! Any questions, Ask away :)

“Brenda has taken care of my King Charles, Kira, several times now and has been a fantastic sitter for us. She is so sweet with Kira, sends photo updates, gives her plenty of cuddle and social time, and is easy to communicate and work with. Kira seems excited to be there when I drop her off and always comes home happy and healthy.”
“Kristina was perfect! She responds very quickly and made sure Ellie felt right at home. Ellie got along great with her dogs and had the best time for the whole week. I would book again!”

“Kathy was just great with our Wicket. She has a great understanding of dogs and all the little quirks they can have. She sent videos and photos that helped me relax and forget about the dog while we were gone. I will be very comfortable leaving Wicket with Kathy again!!”

“Micheal & his family were wonderful to Ripley! He was kept busy and given lots of love; Ripley’s Velcro personality was satisfied. Will be using Michael again - great care giver.”

“Christina was great with our dog Asher! She was great at communicating and sent pictures of him to us while we were on vacation and showed us how he was loving spending time with their dog. They even sent us home with a new dog toy for Asher and he loves it. Thanks for helping us out! We will definitely request to book with them again.”

Lauryn is amazing! I had another sitter cancel on me a few days before I was leaving for a month. She is a life saver 2 days before my trip she said she could take in my cat and my dog. She has pets of her own so I believe it was a great fit. She walked him everyday sent loads of updates. Very happy! ❤️

Nicole was absolutely wonderful with our energetic pup! Frankie came home exhausted which is always a sign of a great weekend. We received updates and photos and felt completely at ease knowing Frankie was in great hands! I would highly recommend Nicole for any of your pet sitting needs!

Samuel and Daina were so nice and very responsive when we were booking with them. I felt like we were leaving our puppy with one of our friends. They were also very flexible with the schedule for our trip… it made it so easy for us. We will definitely book with them again!!

Katie was AMAZING with our dog, Cooper! She was attentive, caring, and kept us informed throughout his stay. We really appreciated the updates and photos she sent, which gave us peace of mind knowing Cooper was happy and well cared for. We would definitely trust Katie with Cooper again and highly recommend her to others!

We had a great experience with Antonio. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and we really appreciated the regular updates and photos. He kept our dog’s medication schedule on track without any issues, and it was clear our girl was well cared for. Our baby came home happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. Highly recommend!

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
