“Caroline is the best dog sitter! She has watched our dog several times now, and he genuinely loves staying with her. That gives us such peace of mind - knowing he’s so well cared for while we are away. Caroline is fantastic with communication (she responds quickly and sends updates with pictures), flexible when plans change, and so kind. We will always ask her first if we ever need someone to watch our dog. She’s the best!”

“Christoper was fantastic with our two dogs. We use rover regularly and he has been one of the best so far. We had to book last minute for a trip to GA and he was nothing but helpful. We got regular updates and felt like the dogs were in great hands while we were miles away. They came back to us happy and in probably in better shape than when we left them. Highly recommend Christopher and his kids.”

“Daniel immediately hit it off with my boy Blue, normally Blue likes people but as soon as Daniel took his leash he was see ya later Dad. Daniel sent updates and pictures which I wasn’t expecting but appreciated. Also I loved the fact that blue got lists of exercise to to point he sleep for 12 hours. Highly recommend Daniel. “Remi loved his weekend with Kari, and made himself right at home. We were nervous leaving him since it was his first time away, but we knew he was in great hands. He is a high energy pup, and he slept the entire day after we picked him up -- the true sign of a fun weekend!”

“Christine and her crew were incredible and did a great job. Thor came home exhausted and without any bad habits (begging from the table, attempting to get on furniture, etc). Great communication before and throughout the stay. Thor loved his time with Cornelius and is looking forward to his next visit.”

“Sylvia was fantastic. It was great peace of mind to leave him with her for a few days knowing he was going to be well taken care of. Our kids loved getting regular photos!”

“We were apprehensive about a long stay with a vacay out of the country. So we decided on a meet/greet overnight to be sure Alexandra’s household was a good fit for our sweet but sometimes sassy girl:) From the start, Alexandra was so warm and welcoming. And to our relief, our dog got along with hers and they’ve since had a 13 night stay together. Alexandra sent some cute pics and kept us updated. She is such a lovely person and was able to put our minds at ease. She took great care of our dog and we will definitely book with her again. Ohhh….the fenced backyard is a bonus cuz our dog LOVES to run! 😊”

“Lenore was kind and generous with her time with Lupe! She was very easy to talk to talk to And helped accommodate our schedule change. Her home was warm and welcoming. Thank you Lenore! Gretchen”

“I honestly was worried about leaving Lilly for the first time with anyone other than a family member that she knew, never having done it before. Patty invited us over for a meet and greet before Lilly stayed there so we could get her familiar with everything. Then Patty did a great job making her feel at home during her stay so that Lilly acted totally normal when I picked her up just like she was hanging out with old friends while I was gone. I would definitely ask Patty again.”

“I will definitely be using Laura again! She was able to give me updates on how Rosie was doing and that gave me peace of mind on my first weekend away from her in a new city. Rosie seemed right at ease at drop off and pick up, I knew she would was well cared for!”

“Tatyana helped us when we were in a pinch, selling our house so we needed the dogs to go elsewhere while it showed and we went on vacation. She clearly loves the dogs very much, and sends lots of photos to let you know how they are. She takes them for walks every couple of hours. The girls seem very relaxed there and when they come home. I trust that she will take really good care of them. The last time they went to her house it was a last minute request on my part for her to do doggy daycare while our movers were in the house. She offered to wash them for me so they would be clean for the long car ride we were about to embark on. She goes above and beyond!”

“Tracy cared for Ikers just like he was her dog. He received tons of playtime, hugs/lab cuddles and attention. Honestly think Ikers had more fun at Tracy’s Rover Resort than at home ☺️ Thanks again Tracy for taking such wonderfully kind and loving care of Ikers. It gave us such peace of mind!!”

“Katherine was excellent with our black lab! Even with a fairly short notice, she and her family welcomed her and took great care of her over the weekend. Would book again!”

“Janelle is outstanding. We have used rover in many states during our travels through the last several years as full time travelers and Janelle is the best!! Great communication and care. Would seek her out whenever possible.”

“Jamie did an amazing job watching our baby. She made me feel comfortable and Sutton warmed up to her very fast. I highly recommend her and will be using again. Sutton I think misses Jamie’s family as well now that we have her home!”

About: I have 2 dogs, a 10yo Basenji and a 14yo Beagle. I have experience with dogs as little as 5 pounds and as big as 120 pounds, as young as 3 months and older seniors. I've been pet sitting/dog walking full time for 2.5 years, but have been experienced for over 10 years with my own dogs. This is my full time job. I walk up to 20 miles per day. I drive to each clients house, to either walk their dog or stop in to feed them/play with them. For dog boarding, the dogs will be home max of 6 hours by themselves (often is less) so I can do my normal dog walking job. When I'm home, my kids and I will spend lots of time loving on your dogs and playing with them. I have 2 dogs of my own, so I know how to handle dogs, how to walk with them, and clean up after them. I'm looking forward to building a relationship with you and your dog! For in my home, I will treat your dog the same as my 2 dogs, with love and care! Myself and my 2 kids absolutely love any and all dogs!
“My pup looked happier than she has looked in a very long time! Brittany and her family took Echo in like she was family and that made my heart so happy! Even got her to eat when she was boycotting her food! So grateful I have found her- won’t go anywhere else!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
