“Annette was great! She watched May for three weeks while I was on a business trip. She was very responsive and always sent lots of update photos. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

“Denise was super patient with lemon. She also had to clean up a mess but was very gracious about it. Shes very flexible and accommodating. We look forward to continue having her drop in while we are at work.”

“Andrea was great with our Arlo. They became fast friends! I could tell in the video she sent, Arlo will definitely enjoy having her around. Thankful for the video and pictures, knowing Arlo was having a good time. It makes not being home, a little more bearable during the day, that I know Arlo is taken care of.”

“Florence was fantastic! She looked after our senior cat and gave him the best care he's received in 12 years. Her updates and reports made us feel like we were still at home, and quickly became the highlight of our day. She went above and beyond across the board, highly recommend. Looking forward to booking with Florence again!”

“Sarah was great with my cats, tracking down my shy boy each visit. This is her 2nd year with us. Gave the cats their meds and sent timely updates. I highly recommend!”

“Thanks, Maggie, for taking great care of our kitties! It’s always nice to have peace of mind while traveling and receiving photos of your pets does just that! Thanks for loving on them and being professional and courteous!”
“We were able to enjoy our vacation because of the wonderful care Faith provided our kitties. She communicated with daily pics and let us know if she had questions or concerns. We have booked her services multiple times and are grateful for the care she provides.”

About: I have taken care of puppies and senior dogs and all different kinds of breeds! I love all dogs and work with kindness and patience! In the summers I'm pretty free so it just comes down to my schedule with other sitting commitments! I'm pretty flexible so whatever the animals need I try to do! I go by the book! Whatever the pet-parents do and require for their animals is what I do! I am patient and kind and respectful!
About: I've been a part of a foster family for dogs of all ages since 2010 and will continue to do so even longer. The puppy litters I watched over the years have consisted of 4 puppies or less. The oldest "puppies" I've fostered were just about 6 months old but they are usually around 4 to 8 weeks. The oldest dogs I've watched were two small dogs: one was 16 years old and the other was 14 years old. Even before fostering, I watched and walked my neighbor's two dogs during all seasons. If she had not moved away, I would still be walking and caring for them now. I've always had a passion for dogs and my current dog, Ruby, is my second .
“Spencer and Karli did a wonderful job of caring for our senior pups. They communicated often and put us at ease during our time away. We highly recommend them!”

About: I have owned pets my entire life! I have never lived in a house without at least 1 dog. My family have always been animal lovers so I grew up with a lot of animals. Not only dogs but I’ve also had bunnies, hedgehogs, fish, birds and livestock! I have a two year old golden retriever Marley that is my whole life and we go on walks and to the beach very often! Not only do I have experience with puppies but also senior dogs. I am very available and can help with your pet needs at any time! I am available all week long from anytime early in the morning to about 5pm My Golden Retriever loves to be outside so we are out there for a lot of our day! We go for walks everyday as well as going to the park sometimes and the beach on the weekends!

About: I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family behind, and I’m here to make that easier. I’m a proud (and very devoted) cat mom to two spoiled kitties, and I’ve also cared for dogs throughout my life. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, or just extra cuddles, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I prioritize clear communication, regular updates, and most importantly, making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. 🐾 I am currently in a career transition so I have all the time in the world to take care of your pets! I can stop by anytime after 9AM and before 8PM. I make sure your pets feel safe with me. I pride myself on being able to read animals body language. I also love to spoil them with treats but I can avoid that if requested.
“Natasha watched our two cats for a week while we were on a cruise and did an AMAZING job! She sent detailed updates each day with adorable pictures and made sure they both got plenty of love and play time! I would highly recommend booking Natasha to care for your fur babies, I know we will be doing it again in the future!”

About: Since birth we have had a dog in the house, first a German Shepherd, then Chocolate Lab, and now a Rottweiler mix. My sister has two rowdy Shepherds of her own that I frequently take care of. Together, my mom and I take care of six sweet girl cats and our Rotty mix. I was a manager of a pet store for a short time and gained vast knowledge on pet care, health, and nutrition. Currently working a part time job but will make time for you and your pets every need! Wednesdays are the only days not open due to a family commitment. I know how hard it can be to trust a stranger with your loved one and I hope I can provide some ease of mind knowing that I will treat yours as my own wholly. I am very flexible and open-minded, especially when it comes to anxious pets.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hudsonville
I liked Florence as soon as she walked in the door and immediately focused on our cats. She wasn't fazed by our somewhat high maintenance situation and took everything in stride. Florence sent very detailed visit reports, including that she had given medication to a couple of our cats, and lots of pictures so we knew everyone was doing okay. Our cats were in good spirits when we returned and our house was just as we left it. Would definitely hire Florence again and highly recommend her services.

Annette has been so patient getting to know our Lenny. We are so appreciative of her care and value her always going above and beyond. She even took time to communicate some storm damage information to us while we were away and we were thankful to have her help.

Emily was so nice and kind. She helped care for our dogs on Thanksgiving while we were out of town. She sent pictures and provided updates on how the dogs were doing throughout the day. We will consider Emily again in the future and highly recommend her services.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
