“Kina was awesome, she responds quickly, she sends you pictures of my doggies and gave me updates on if they went potty or eat/drank water! She’s super friendly and just loves all animals! Thank you so much for watching our dogs on our wedding day! Definitely would pick Kina to watch anyone’s animals!”

“Florence was fantastic! She looked after our senior cat and gave him the best care he's received in 12 years. Her updates and reports made us feel like we were still at home, and quickly became the highlight of our day. She went above and beyond across the board, highly recommend. Looking forward to booking with Florence again!”

“Megan did an awesome job with our fur baby. He tends to be ornery at times and she was able to work with him in spite of his attitude. Megan is very flexible and accommodating.”

Most importantly, I treat every pet like my own—giving them the attention, patience, and comfort they deserve while you’re away. 🐾 With over 25 years of hands-on pet care experience, I’ve lovingly cared for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs with special needs—as well as cats and bunnies. “Annette was great! She watched May for three weeks while I was on a business trip. She was very responsive and always sent lots of update photos. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

About: As a life-long pet owner, I’ve loved our pets through rambunctious puppy-hood and curious kittens all the way through tender care as they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. I currently have an elderly dog named Callie and 2 lovable kittens named Mustard and Relish. As a family, we volunteer to clean and feed the cats at Grandville’s Community Cat Crew every weekend. I’m excited to love and care for your pets the same as I do our own! I work in the schools, so during the summers and on the weekends, I’m available and flexible to meet the needs of your pets— early mornings, late nights, multiple times a day, I’m here! I approach each pet based on their response— if they are excited and rambunctious, I will jump in and play and walk. If they are cautious and reserved, I will take the time to patiently wait for them to approach me for love and care.
“I can't believe how lucky I got when I asked Hollie to take care of my pets a few months ago. I have now booked her for 3 occasions, 2 overnights, and 1 drop in. She will forever be my first pick.”

“Madison was amazing with Flash! She helped us out a lot by giving him lunch and taking him outside during the week. Would definitely book again! She is quick at communicating, thoughtful, and cares about all of the little details when it comes to your pet.”

“Brooke took care of our three cats and saltwater fish tank while we were on vacation. She was reliable with all the check in visits and sent updates with pictures as well. I would recommend her to others and we will use her again in the future!”

“Maelee is great! She’s very thorough with her visits. I like her detailed notes and prompt communication. I have felt very comfortable leaving my cat in her care!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always had a genuine love for animals and caring for them. I’ve provided both overnight and daytime care for dogs through pet sitting for family and friends and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pet. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, including puppies and senior dogs, and can follow medication or special care routines if needed. I provide walking, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention to help pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I am currently home from school, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup! I understand how important consistency is for pets and always do my best to follow their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for. My goal is always to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for added peace of mind.
About: My name is Sara and I have been an animal lover my entire life. I have had experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and even wild animals! I have a Basset Hound named Minnow who wants to be friends with anything that moves. I can stop by your home to care for larger animals like dogs, cats, etc. But I am totally cool with your small animal (I.e. Guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, etc.) staying with me if needed. I would be honored to care for your pets, spoil them, and treat them like my own. I’m currently working full time 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. I can stop by your house to care for your animal early morning, on my lunch break, after work, and any time on the weekends. I have a safe and separate room I can place your small animal in while caring for them. A cage provided by the owner is required.

About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Currently, I am the proud dog-mom to Mila, my sweet Black Lab. She is my absolute world, so I know firsthand that your dog isn't just a pet. They are a cherished member of your family! Because of my background as an educator, patience, structure, and safety are second nature to me. Whether your pup needs a high-energy game of fetch, a structured neighborhood walk, or just some calm companionship and belly rubs, I am ready to adapt to their specific routine and personality. I am currently a teacher on summer break, so I am very flexible and can offer consistency for your dog! Between providing your dog exercise, a potty break, or extra love, I am here to help. At this time, I am not offering in-home care for your pets. However, I am happy to provide potty breaks, walks, and extra love to your pets.
About: Hi, I’m Taylor and I’m new to Rover. :) I’ve been taking care of my family’s dogs for 10+ years and have banked hundreds of dog care and walking hours. From goldens to yorkies and every breed in between, I love keeping little fur babies happy and healthy! I’m currently a part-time time graduate student and part-time educator working in a school. I have lots of free time after 3pm and during summer hours. I currently have a shihtzu-yorkie mix, named Fuji. He was a COVID puppy and has been the most energetic, fun-loving cuddler in the world. But, he needs lots of care and attention, so I know how important that is for other dog parents.
“Phoebe was extremely communicative and spent some wonderful quality time with our dog, Indy. We loved seeing the pictures and hearing about Indy’s day while we were away. Looks like Indy has a new best friend!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grandville. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
