“Abbey did a great job of caring for our older cat and was willing to administer medicine if needed. Based on the pictures I can tell our cat warmed up to her. We will definitely work with Abbey again in the future.”

About: I have 6+ years experience of doggy daycare/boarding industry being a General Manager at a local facility. I would take care of 60+ dogs, senior dogs, puppies, reactive dogs, anxious dogs, noise sensitive dogs, etc. I also have 2 years experience in the vet field as an assistant/receptionist at a vet office and emergency care office. I also have experience with administering medications, cutting nails, & light grooming. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I am home all day including most weekends with my husband, Lucas. From waking up early in the morning to staying up late in the night, I’m always attentive. I have leads and leashes to walk your pet, take them out to the bathroom & even just to play outside! We love going to fields to play ball or just going on nature walks around our neighborhood. This can happen at our house or yours as well! Pets are closely monitored throughout their whole stay with me. I also have the ability to crate your pet during certain parts of the day if you wish, otherwise they will have access to most of our home if they stay here :)
“We love working with Alexandria and our pets do too. They always seem so happy when we get back and well cared for. We have several pets that need medications and just general aging. She goes above and beyond to keep them comfortable when we are away.”

“They were amazing, beyond kind, and very responsive! They sent lots of pictures and kept up on all tasks asked! I would trust them again and again. Will be booking again for our next trip :) Thanks!”

About: I’ve always had animals of my own, basically since I was old enough to walk. I started my own pet-sitting business when I was 13. I’m the go-to for friends and family when they need their babies cared for and I love every breed. I studied veterinary medicine for a number of years and have more recently begun to train dogs, as well. I work full-time but I make my own schedule. I also live just a few minutes away from my work and can pop back to my house when need be. I’m already taking care of our senior dog, our new puppy, and our two cats. I love being outside and taking the babies for walks. I have a fenced in yard as well as two other dogs and two other cats. I have a large crate as well as two portable enclosures and no shortage of extra bowls, blankets, toys, and towels. I live in a great neighborhood and there is a park a block away. It’s important to me that animals are well taken care of and I love spending extra time playing and snuggling with any babies I get to hang out with.
“Lauren took such good care of our kittens! Great communication, cute photos, and they didn’t even care when we came home (which to me means they had everything they needed under her care). I will definitely hire her again.”

“Holly was awesome with Luna and helped me out on short notice! She was reliable and provided me with great updates so I knew my fur baby was doing OK while I was away.”

About: I understand how stressful it is leaving your dog or having to board him or her while away. I have experience working with Rover, and I would like to resume providing pet care services. I've been around animals most of my life. I have also cared for the pets of friends and family, including my seven -year-old English cream golden retriever, Maxwell. He's friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I would love to be the trusted person to take care of and pamper your pet. Leave your pet with me and we can go for walks, play ball , Frisbee, or just relax. I will provide your dog with a quiet, loving home environment with plenty of attention and care to fit their personality. I am currently home the majority of the time to care for your pet. I work from home three out of five days a week, and I am available on weekends. I am in the office two days per week, However, I drive home on my lunch hour to care for our new friends. I will provide your pet with a quiet, safe environment. If you are boarding your pet with me, I will ensure they receive care tailored to their unique needs and personality
“Abigail was great, she responded quickly and was able to take a last minute booking. She sent tons of cute photos during her time with my pup which was much appreciated. Would book again!”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and understand that every pet deserves patience, attention, and personalized care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’ve had pets my whole life of all kinds and have watched many of my family and friends pets over the years! I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing dependable care, plenty of affection, and regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering basic medications if needed, and making sure your pet gets the exercise, attention, and comfort they deserve. My goal is to create a stress free experience for both you and your pet by providing reliable, compassionate care you can count on. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently a DPT student at GVSU so outside of class I’m open all afternoons after 3 and Fridays as well as weekends to drop in and visit your pets! Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, potty breaks, exercise, and any special requests to help keep your pet’s routine consistent while you’re away. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of love and attention, playtime, and potty breaks or litter box cleaning as needed. For walks, I use secure leash handling and stay aware of our surroundings to help keep your dog safe while tailoring each walk to their age, energy level, and individual needs. I respect your home as if it were my own and will ensure doors, gates, and windows are secure before I leave. I’ll also send regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Lexi took great care of our cat while we were gone, she is really great about sending pics & videos. It was really nice to not have to worry about leaving the cat alone because I knew she was being well taken care of. Highly recommended!”

About: Growing up, we had three dogs and two cats in our household, plus, we fostered various rescue dogs. I have the most experience with Collies, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Labs. My dog, Braden, was with me for 13 years. He had epilepsy, and was a rescue. I have experience with administering oral medication for cats and dogs. I have also provided care for turtles and fish! I currently work a full time job, and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I can provide specialized care and walk/check in on pets at most times. I can generally work from anywhere as well. I would be caring for pets at the client's house, as I rent a small apartment. My only need is somewhere to work remotely with.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Walker
Morgen was absolutely amazing. Coincidentally, she lived extremely close to my son, which made the entire process incredibly easy. Morgen always submitted photos of my son two cats to assure us, they were happy and doing well, considering the one routinely loves to hide. Morgen was also extremely respectful of my son's Vision Impairment. She left the apartment very clean, yet did not unnecessarily move anything to avoid confusion upon my son's return. Morgen was very gracious in her flexibility as we had a family emergency and needed to adjust the schedule at the last moment. I would most certainly request her again and 100% recommend her to anyone needing a loving cat sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
