Availability

I keep a flexible schedule and prioritize consistency for the dogs in my care. I’m available most mornings, afternoons, and early evenings, and I can reliably commit to regular weekly walks or ongoing exercise plans. If your dog thrives on routine, I’ll make sure we stick to it. Because I specialize in high-energy and working breeds, I plan our sessions around the time of day when they’ll get the most out of the experience—whether that’s a crisp morning hike, a mid-day outing when the neighborhood is quieter, or an evening decompression walk after work. I do my best to accommodate weather, distance, and drive levels so each dog leaves satisfied, not just “checked off.” If you have a long workday, variable shifts, or need help during busy weeks, just tell me what your situation looks like. I’m comfortable coordinating schedules, and once we establish a routine I am very dependable.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing come before everything else. My approach is simple: clear communication, calm leadership, and respect for the individual needs of each dog. I don’t rush, force, or overextend dogs—every outing is tailored to their age, fitness level, and temperament. I’m experienced with strong, high-drive breeds and understand how to manage leash pulling, overstimulation, and reactivity in a controlled way. I use secure equipment, keep my dogs leashed at all times on trails, and never take unnecessary risks. If conditions aren’t safe—heat, ice, traffic, wildlife—we adjust the plan but still make sure your dog is fulfilled. When I walk or hike with a dog, I treat them with the same responsibility and care as my own Australian Shepherds. I monitor their body language, energy level, hydration, and fatigue throughout the session. My goal is not just to tire out a dog—it’s to help them decompress, explore, and return home calm, relaxed, and happy. I take trust seriously, both for pets and their owners. I communicate clearly, send updates, and make sure you never wonder how your dog is doing. You’ll always know where your dog is, what we’re doing, and how they handled the outing. I want you to feel confident that when your dog is with me, they are safe, respected, and getting the level of care they deserve.

Information Lucas I. would like to know about your pet

How your dog handles walks and new environments (pulling, nervousness, reactivity, overstimulation) • Any history with other dogs, people, or wildlife • Their normal exercise routine and limitations • Commands they know or respond to • Equipment you currently use (flat collar, harness, prong, martingale, etc.) • Medical needs or sensitivities • Triggers or situations that stress them out

A typical day

A typical day with me is about fulfillment, not just movement. I start by getting a read on your dog’s energy level, mood, and pace, and we shape our outing around that. High-drive breeds and athletic dogs get structured physical work: trail hikes, longer walks, or controlled exploration away from busy subdivisions. Lower-energy dogs get relaxed sniff walks, decompression routes, or shorter engagement sessions—it’s always about what makes your dog feel safe and satisfied. I pack water, carry bags, and plan the route based on weather, terrain, and what your dog enjoys. I move at their pace, give them time to sniff, and let them use their instincts—while still maintaining calm leash leadership. If I’m working with dogs that tend to pull or get overstimulated, I keep distance, adjust pressure, and choose quieter paths. After our outing, I make sure your dog returns home relaxed, hydrated, and mentally reset. I send updates and notes so you know how they did and what they enjoyed. The goal is always the same: a dog that doesn’t just get exercise, but comes home fulfilled and content.

Lucas is outstanding. He went above and beyond for our doggo and I never had to worry if he is being taken care of when I was gone for a week. 10/10 would recommend!!

I am a Licensed Veterinary Nurse and incredibly picky when it comes to pet care. Lucas is incredible with my pets, particularly with my special needs dog who requires extra care and patience due to his fear and anxiety. My dog doesn’t allow a lot of people to touch him - so to see Lucas using his baby voice and giving him neck scratches was amazing. Lucas is reliable and truly cares about the pets. I highly recommend him!

Lucas cares for three Australian shepherds of his own, each with different personalities, and manages them beautifully. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and very intuitive with animals. He will treat your pet like his own.
