“Florence is amazing! If you need someone to walk your dog Florence is your girl! She is so friendly to my dog and is always willing to make sure he is taken care of while my husband and I are working!!! She is so easy to communicate with and is so friendly!!! She updates me throughout the visit! We love Florence!!!!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since birth. I started taking more responsibility for them around the age of 10. The moment I graduated college, I got my own rescue doggo. Maisie is now 10 and likes to sleep and cuddle, so I’m looking to add some energetic pups to my walking route. I’m a nurse and have random time off during the week. My schedule is far from consistent but I hope that helps me stand out as someone to just drop in periodically. I’m a pet parent myself so I know how anxious people can get when you’re away from your babies. And I know how anxious your pets can get too! I’ll follow any sort of instruction you leave!
“Andrea is absolutely amazing! We had a house sitter for our vacation, but with our 2 year old highly energetic Aussie, we were worried she might be a lot to handle for our house sitter. Andrea came every day of the week to walk our Rebel for 30 minutes at a time & even sent us photos of our ol’ couch potato Piper getting some love as well. Andrea went above and beyond even when the weather was bad to ensure Rebel’s needs were met! This is the first vacation we’ve gone on that we’ve not stressed about our girls being taken care of. Will definitely be using Andrea again in the future! Thank you SO much!”

“She is Awesome! My dog loved her the second they met. Laid at her feet. Shows up on time. Takes photos. I feel comfort in knowing Stevie gets attention from a great hearted caring pet loving person when I am at work.”

“Kelsey has been a huge help for our family. We got a new pup this summer and as a teacher I was nervous about leaving her at home all day for the first time. Our high energy vizsla girl very much enjoys her 30 minute walk each day with Kelsey. I would recommend her services to my friends and neighbors.”

About: I was raised around dogs and have been a dog owner for over 20 years. Over the years, I have provided pet care for friends and family and decided to expand my services to help other pet owners as well. I work on site 4 days a week. On the 4 days I work dogs will have a potty break after 6-7 hrs. Generally off on Saturday and Sunday. I have a fenced in yard with a fur baby of my own to keep yours company amd 2 teenagers who love to help out and spoil your four legged bestie even more. I require you bring a crate but I can provide one for a small fee. We love the outdoors in the summer, so lots of exercise for your fur baby At this time I can only care for hypoallergenic breeds in my home. I can walk and do drop ins with any breed. Feel free to inquire if you are unsure.
“Renee is such a gem, and my pup loves her time with her. It is so nice to know on the days that I work late I don’t have to worry about my pup having to be alone all day and not get her steps in. Renee is very communicative and reliable. A welcome addition to our weekly routine.”

About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Currently, I am the proud dog-mom to Mila, my sweet Black Lab. She is my absolute world, so I know firsthand that your dog isn't just a pet. They are a cherished member of your family! Because of my background as an educator, patience, structure, and safety are second nature to me. Whether your pup needs a high-energy game of fetch, a structured neighborhood walk, or just some calm companionship and belly rubs, I am ready to adapt to their specific routine and personality. I am currently a teacher on summer break, so I am very flexible and can offer consistency for your dog! Between providing your dog exercise, a potty break, or extra love, I am here to help. At this time, I am not offering in-home care for your pets. However, I am happy to provide potty breaks, walks, and extra love to your pets.
About: Since birth we have had a dog in the house, first a German Shepherd, then Chocolate Lab, and now a Rottweiler mix. My sister has two rowdy Shepherds of her own that I frequently take care of. Together, my mom and I take care of six sweet girl cats and our Rotty mix. I was a manager of a pet store for a short time and gained vast knowledge on pet care, health, and nutrition. Currently working a part time job but will make time for you and your pets every need! Wednesdays are the only days not open due to a family commitment. I know how hard it can be to trust a stranger with your loved one and I hope I can provide some ease of mind knowing that I will treat yours as my own wholly. I am very flexible and open-minded, especially when it comes to anxious pets.
“Maryam came out and met Chase and I prior to her first walk with him! She was really wonderful with him and was familiar with our community so very helpful! She allowed time for Chase to sniff her and get comfortable with her while we talked. I appreciate her calm but confident presence! There first walk went great!”

About: Hello! My name is Sophia and I absolutely adore all kinds of animals! I have had pets since I was very young, and I have a lot of other experience watching neighborhood cats and dogs, as well as walking them! I love to play with pets, cuddle with them, and take pictures, too! The extra benefit to this is that I can send you adorable pictures of your furry family members while you’re away. I would make sure that they get all of the food, water, walks, and potty breaks they need—not to mention love! I am happy to stay over night, especially on weekends. I look forward to hearing from you! I am currently available for anytime, as I work remotely. As long as I have the wifi password, I am all set to stay all day! I would only be interested in going to pet owners’ homes, as my house is already full of my own pets! I’m also happy to house sit.

About: As a life-long pet owner, I’ve loved our pets through rambunctious puppy-hood and curious kittens all the way through tender care as they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. I currently have an elderly dog named Callie and 2 lovable kittens named Mustard and Relish. As a family, we volunteer to clean and feed the cats at Grandville’s Community Cat Crew every weekend. I’m excited to love and care for your pets the same as I do our own! I work in the schools, so during the summers and on the weekends, I’m available and flexible to meet the needs of your pets— early mornings, late nights, multiple times a day, I’m here! I approach each pet based on their response— if they are excited and rambunctious, I will jump in and play and walk. If they are cautious and reserved, I will take the time to patiently wait for them to approach me for love and care.
About: I love all types of animals. I have experience in rabbits, cats & dogs. My family has always had animals, it’s a second nature to me. I am currently unemployed but looking for part time work. I would love to pick up pet sitting opportunities as much as possible. I have a free and open schedule. I do not offer pet services in my home but at the clients home I am more than willing to crate animals or let them out into a fenced in yard to watch them. I am good with rewarding with treats, having play time, picking up poop, cleaning, etc. I am fully capable of the responsibility it takes to care and build trust with animals.
About: I’ve been working as a professional pet sitter and dog walker for over seven years. I’ve been howled at, licked, bitten, pooped and peed on, dragged into a lake, growled at, barked at...and I will always be up for more! I live in Grandville with my two children (18 and 12) who are also animal lovers. We also have a senior Maltese Yorkie Shitzhu mix named Irie, who is a grumpy old man and a ferocious beast (he thinks). I work full-time as a marketing consultant. I love to play with dogs for exercise and as a reminder to not take life so seriously! Sometimes communicating with animals is much easier than communicating with humans! :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
