“I had to leave town last weekend and decided to see what boarding my dog Ding with somebody from Rover might be like. I hit the jackpot when I decided to reach out to Roman and Suzanne. Right from the get go they were extremely responsive and had the answers to all my questions. And so friendly! We did a quick meet and greet at their home and I instantly knew I’d be trusting my guy with them. Just really wonderful people and they clearly love the animals they take care of. And they sure took care of mine! I got lots of pictures and updates over the weekend, and Ding looked so happy in all of them. He really hit it off with their dog Sonic! The weekend flew by and after an easy pickup (they really made everything so easy!) Ding and I were back home. He totally crashed out after a fun weekend with his new friends. Cant recommend Roman and Suzanne and family enough! I’ll definitely be reaching out to for another upcoming weekend trip :) Thanks so much!”

“Karin Sue and Danny were wonderful to my Rosie! They had toys, a huge backyard and spent a lot of time with her. This was her first time being boarded and I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you for being such wonderful caretakers!”

“Kina watched our 2 corgis, Zelos and Fae while we had a weekend away. She had awesome communication with daily check ins and pictures so we could see how our furkids were doing. Every picture showed 2 very happy and relaxed pups, which made us feel so much better. When I went to pick them up they seemed so content and comfortable, which is a surprise as Zelos has separation anxiety in his senior years. It also helped that Kina has owned corgis in the past so she understood their little quirks. We will absolutely use her again! Zelos and Fae give 2 paws up as well and can't wait to visit again!”

“Jenn was the most amazing sitter for our puppy! She is very responsive and great at sending photos and updates. You can tell that her and her family truly valued having our dog stay with them, even with him being a 4 month old puppy that does all the puppy things. We felt comfortable having him there and he came home exhausted after a fun weekend for him. I would absolutely recommend Jenn!”

“Blue had a great time with Dale and his dogs. His communication with us was great from the start, sending updates everyday of his stay. Made us feel comfortable from the first meet and greet. Will be booking with him again!”

“This was Angela’s second time boarding my dog and things went great as expected. My dog loves Angela! She got excited when we were nearing Angela’s house. I really appreciate Angela’s care for my dog and flexibility with my schedule. She’s definitely my first thought when I need a sitter.”

“Miranda was amazing with Paisley! Sent me updates while I was out of the country and Paisley loved having a doggy friend to hang out with for the week! Amazing fenced in back yard for them to play in! Thanks again!”

“Ru was wonderful! Always got back with me quickly when I contacted her! Ru sent lots of pictures and we could tell Molly was very well taken care of?. We would definitely ask Ru to take care of Molly again!”

“We had to travel to Brazil for 15 days to renew our visa, and we were nervous about leaving Lola with someone. Thankfully, Sarah was amazing—very flexible, kind, and attentive to Lola’s needs. She made the whole experience smooth and worry-free. We truly appreciate her and will absolutely bring Lola back to stay with her again”

“Ryleigh and Aaron were amazing. They had my high anxiety dog sitting in their laps within an hour and I received daily updates. My pup didn't want to leave his new friend Mabel, who clearly kept him busy all week because he has been resting for the entire 2 days we've been home 😂”

“I am a repeat customer. Kalee is an absolute GEM! Our first time with Kalee, she was very professional. She offered a meet and greet then once we arrived she spent additional rime with Buster and I just reviewing his care and allowed Bust we to explore and get used to his surroundings. I have decided that Kalee is our one and only sitter, Buster loves her and his new fur baby brother! I definitely recommend Kalee as a professional, caring and flexible sitter!”

“Our pup’s third visit. Perfection as always, Evvia always takes extra special care of Ender and we always know he will be well loved while he is with her. We will be back!”

“Kijah was an amazing sitter for Winston! We received many photos and updates during his stay with her, and she was so sweet with our boy! I would recommend Kijah for your pet sitting needs!”

About: Hi, I’m Rory. I’m a local Realtor, stepdad to three great kids, and lifelong animal lover. I’ve been a dog dad since I was 25, starting with a Newfoundland and now sharing a home with Lola, our 7-year-old Golden Retriever, and Tilly, our 8-month-old Cavapoo. Dogs have always been part of our family, and I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you’re away. I’m active, enjoy walks, and love giving dogs the playtime, exercise, and companionship they need. I also volunteer in the community coaching football and basketball, so being dependable, patient, and attentive comes naturally to me. As a Realtor, I know trust and communication matter. I’ll follow your dog’s routine, respect your home, and keep you updated so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, or just having someone nearby, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I work from home, so your dog will have company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. We build in regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, meals, and plenty of attention while keeping as close as possible to their normal routine. Your dog will be cared for in a loving family environment with two friendly dogs and three kids who truly love animals. Our home has plenty of space to relax and play, along with a fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor breaks. We make introductions slowly, supervise play, and can separate or crate dogs if needed. We will follow your feeding, medication, exercise, and house rules, while keeping you updated with photos and messages.
About: I’ve taken care and lived with dogs or cats my entire life. I have been unable to get one now that I am an adult, and need some more pet time! I’m incredibly patient, loving and excited to show these pets a new friend! I don’t have a yard but my apartment has a dog park i’d take them to if the owner was comfortable! I work full time Monday through Thursday 10-7 then friday 10-3. So I am available for nights and then fully available on the weekends. There is the community dog park easy walking distance from where I live, and multiple trails to provide them with a fun walk! I live in a spacious two bedroom apt alone so they would have plenty of space inside too!
“Wow! What an incredible experience:). Pamela was wonderful with Abby. She sent me pics of Abby cuddling and playing frisbee outside and playing with other dogs. Abby is usually very scared of new people and her personality won’t shine. Not the case here. Thank you Pamela for your care and attention to Abby - she had a great time:). Will definitely call again and I’ve already referred to 3 people!💕”

“Susan cared for my timid Golden while I had surgery. It's so good to have someone that I trust to love and care for my companion while I'm not available. One less stress!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
