When I went to pick them up they seemed so content and comfortable, which is a surprise as Zelos has separation anxiety in his senior years. “Jacob was wonderful and easy to work with and our dog loved his stay! Jacob starts off with a meet and greet to make sure your pet meshes well with his dogs and I think he did a great job slowly introducing each of his dogs to Thor. Jacob watched Thor over the Fourth of July and although Thor doesn’t mind fireworks he mentioned that they do have thunder vests in case Thor got anxious. Jacob sent pictures throughout the stay and was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I’ve had the privilege of helping out with walks, dog sitting, and overall care of many furry friends of those around me for as long as I can remember. Growing up I’d help family friends, family members, and neighbors with their pets, and continued to do so throughout high school, and now college. About: I grew up around dogs and now have two cats! My love for animals began when I was three years old and my mom brought home our first family dog, Blossom. I am happy to work with your schedule and I am flexible with dates and times when needed. Should you trust me with your pet, I will provide them with the most comfort possible! It isn't easy when we have to leave our pets, so I am happy to provide any photo updates during our visits and daily feedback on how your pet is doing! Should you choose to board your cat with us, they will have their own separate suite to decompress, relax, and unwind while you are gone!
About: I’ve been working as a professional pet sitter and dog walker for over seven years. I’ve been howled at, licked, bitten, pooped and peed on, dragged into a lake, growled at, barked at...and I will always be up for more! I live in Grandville with my two children (18 and 12) who are also animal lovers. We also have a senior Maltese Yorkie Shitzhu mix named Irie, who is a grumpy old man and a ferocious beast (he thinks). I work full-time as a marketing consultant. I love to play with dogs for exercise and as a reminder to not take life so seriously! Sometimes communicating with animals is much easier than communicating with humans! :)
About: As a life-long pet owner, I’ve loved our pets through rambunctious puppy-hood and curious kittens all the way through tender care as they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. I currently have an elderly dog named Callie and 2 lovable kittens named Mustard and Relish. As a family, we volunteer to clean and feed the cats at Grandville’s Community Cat Crew every weekend. I’m excited to love and care for your pets the same as I do our own! I work in the schools, so during the summers and on the weekends, I’m available and flexible to meet the needs of your pets— early mornings, late nights, multiple times a day, I’m here! I approach each pet based on their response— if they are excited and rambunctious, I will jump in and play and walk. If they are cautious and reserved, I will take the time to patiently wait for them to approach me for love and care.
About: I have taken care of others’ pets from a young age. Growing up with an interest in animals, I moved on to my academic career, where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. During my time in school, I had the opportunity to train service dogs, sit and train pets from many different families, and even adopt two pets of my own! Following my academic career in Animal Science, I moved on to a position in Veterinary Pharmacy. I have since moved on to be a dairy cattle embryologist. All of my education, skills and experience have allowed me to prove my abilities in animal care, handling, and safety. There is no animal I would shy away from, no matter their quirks. I am currently working full time, but only work a 4 day week, with shifts ending around 8am, 10:00am at the very latest. This allows me to be available at very early hours in the morning, and throughout the remainder of the days that I work! I live in the downtown environment which will offer great socialization for your pets. I also am able to take pets to trails, neighborhood walks, and offer adventures while you are away. In your home, I am able to offer a sense of companionship and play. I hope to be a highlight of your pets’ day!
About: I’ve been helping my parents raise dogs since I was around 10 years old, our first dog being a collie we rescued as she wasn’t being treated well with her initial owners. We took her in and got her cleaned up, took care of the fleas she had, found her a good diet, and gave her lots of love and attention through it all. We took her on camping trips, out on the water to go fishing, out on walks and to get pup cups at the ice cream shop, her favorite place being my granny’s house. Alongside her, we raised three more dogs when they were puppies, each one two years apart. 2 of them are Australian shepherds, and one is a husky, all girls and grew to form their own little pack, respecting each other’s place and playing happily in a big fenced in back yard. We supported our collie till her last breath as she was elderly, and even as she was so old, she always had her usual, laid back and quirky personality. Even now, I continue to help my parents take care of our dogs, as they’re not just pets, they’re our family, our fur babies, even in they’re old stages of life, they’ll always be our little babies in our hearts. So rest assured, your fur baby will be 110% safe and cared for with me, maybe even a bit spoiled! LIFE UPDATE!!! I’ve been hired as a camp counselor at Camp Bow Wow, a doggy day care and overnight boarding facility! Right now I have training scheduled from June 30 to July 2 and July 6, all for days I’ll be unavailable from 11 am to 3 pm. Once I’m done with training, I should hopefully be getting a work schedule that I will use to update my scheduling here on Rover! So please forgive me for the next couple of weeks while I get everything settled! With specific instructions written on paper, I have no issues accommodating to your pet’s needs in your home! I’m respectful during visits in others homes, treating them as my own and keeping spaces clean and tidy. With proper cleaning tools, I can clean up accidents on hard surfaces or rugs, I may need a demonstration on how to use a specific cleaning machine or vacuum depending on how complicated it is. I’m not allergic to any animal, or any breed, so pet hair doesn’t bother me! If need be, I am able to administer oral medications with proper instruction and demonstration. On walks I make sure to keep dogs close to me and away from the road, I carry doggy bags, and on hot days, I’ll carry a little folded up bowl that I can poor water in, so your baby stays hydrated!

“Kina watched our 2 corgis, Zelos and Fae while we had a weekend away. She had awesome communication with daily check ins and pictures so we could see how our furkids were doing. Every picture showed 2 very happy and relaxed pups, which made us feel so much better. When I went to pick them up they seemed so content and comfortable, which is a surprise as Zelos has separation anxiety in his senior years. It also helped that Kina has owned corgis in the past so she understood their little quirks. We will absolutely use her again! Zelos and Fae give 2 paws up as well and can't wait to visit again!”

Felix sent me messages and pictures daily so that I knew they were having fun together. My dog got to enjoy long walks each day with the freedom to explore all the new smells along the way. I didn't worry or feel guilty leaving my dog behind because I knew he was happy in Felix's care!”
“Jacob was wonderful and easy to work with and our dog loved his stay! Jacob starts off with a meet and greet to make sure your pet meshes well with his dogs and I think he did a great job slowly introducing each of his dogs to Thor. Jacob watched Thor over the Fourth of July and although Thor doesn’t mind fireworks he mentioned that they do have thunder vests in case Thor got anxious. Jacob sent pictures throughout the stay and was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be rebooking!”
