About: I have 3 years of dog sitting experience for family friends including 4-10 day overnight stays, daily feeding, and 3 walks per day. One dog I took care of was 13 years old. I love spending time with dogs, keeping them company, and going on walks with them. I’m a recent UIC graduate from the master of urban planning and policy program so my schedule is very open while I look for full-time employment. When I have dog sat in the past, one dog was older and needed to be crated in the kitchen when I left the house. I’m happy to do that or cater to any other special needs your dog has.
“Have used as a sitter Amanda for my cat Charli since we moved to Chicago and have always been thrilled with her care for Charli! Charli is always showing her signs of comfort in photos and communication has always been clear and consistent if anything came up.”

“Luna was wonderful with our two cats. Our cats can have a hard time warming up with strangers and she went above and beyond to make them as comfortable as possible. She took lots of photos and videos and was geat with communicating & response time! It was the first time my partner and I were away from our fluffy friends and Luna definitely put my mind at ease. She's super sweet & intuitive with animals and I would highly recommend!!”

About: I cared for my Yorkshire Terrier, Polly, in my family home, and we had a close bond, from daily walks to playful moments. Now that I’ve moved to the US and my husband, a PhD student at Northwestern U, has an allergy, we can’t have a dog, but I really miss being around pets and would love to spend time with yours. With my experience, I prioritize small dogs. While I don’t have an experience living with cats, I’m eager to learn and will do my best to give them all my care. I’m excited to walk, play, and give your pet the attention they deserve while you’re away! I currently work full time Monday through Friday, so I am available on weekends. But I can also help on a Friday night if you contact me in advance. I’m unable to care for pets at my place due to restrictions and my husband’s allergy, but I would be happy to provide pet care at your location. I’m fully prepared to follow any specific instructions regarding your pet's care, feeding, grooming, and playtime routine. I respect each pet's boundaries and approach them with patience and understanding. For walks, I always prefer keeping them on a leash to ensure their safety.
“Ingrid was a fantastic sitter for our multi cat household. She followed all our instructions to a T and gave thorough reports after every visit. Our cats are a bit needy, but felt comfortable with Ingrid and did great under her care. We will be return clients!”

About: i’ve been taking care of plants and animals for my friends and neighbors since i was watering my neighbors gardens and feeding their chickens. i grew up in los angeles, where a shocking amount of people in my community kept livestock as pets! i’ve been taking care of cats, dogs, parrots, pigs, and chickens since i was 13 years old. im stage/photo a hair/makeup artist by trade when im not working towards my teaching degree. i love taking long walks, and having a buddy who is thrilled to be outside with me is the best. I’m in school from 10AM into the afternoon 4 days a week, but have plenty of time off fridays and on the weekends. i also only do a half day on tuesdays and thursdays! i like getting up early, it makes me feel productive! Animals aren’t like people! they communicate differently, so taking my time and looking for visual feedback on comfort is a priority. i work with animals of any temperament. i believe communication with the family is important in understanding how to make your fluffy (or not) family member feel most comfortable while you’re away.
About: I've volunteered at the Evanston Animal Shelter for several years, where I work directly with dogs of all temperaments, including anxious, reactive, and high-energy dogs. I know how to read dog body language, handle leash behavior, and keep walks calm and safe. I've owned dogs my whole life and understand that every dog has its own personality and needs. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, so I have real flexibility those days for drop-ins and check-ins. Weekends I'm generally available, as well. I'm not able to host dogs at my place (I have a dog-reactive dog at home), but I'm happy to come to you; your dog stays comfortable in their own home and their routine stays intact. Your home and your dog's routine get my full respect. I follow whatever instructions you leave; feeding schedules, medications, quirks, all of it. I've worked with dogs of all temperaments at the Evanston Animal Shelter, so I'm comfortable handling anxious or reactive dogs calmly and safely. I'll always leave things exactly as I found them.
“Valerie helped us to watch our cat while we were away. We booked extended visits for her to play with a cat because he is super sociable and was sad while we were away - Valerie did a great job playing and taking care of a cat! I'd love to book her again in the future.”

“Brenda is great with our cats. I can tell friends m the photos. Our boy cat is usually aloof, but he comes out for Brenda! It’s nice to know that a caring person is watching our cats. Thanks Brenda!”

About: I've been around cats and dogs my entire life and have cared for pets for as long as I can remember. About 10 years ago, I worked as a professional dog walker, and I currently volunteer with Chicago Pet Rescue. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, from energetic and playful to shy or senior pets. I provide dependable, compassionate care and treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, or simply providing companionship, my goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away. I work part-time with a flexible daytime schedule and am available for drop-in visits throughout the week. As a planner and dependable communicator, I take pride in being on time and providing consistent care. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their families are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, and routines. I understand that every pet is unique and do my best to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide updates and photos when appropriate so owners can feel confident that their pets are receiving attentive, loving care.
About: *My wife and I have been caring for dogs on the Wag platform for over 4 years with hundreds of services under our belts! I’ve recently decided to give Rover a try because I appreciate the open communication between pet owners and myself!* My lifelong passion for dogs has been a constant source of joy, starting from the moment I meticulously studied every dog breed in the books and finally convinced my parents that I was responsible enough to welcome a puppy into our home when I was just 9 years old. Ever since then, I've been wholeheartedly immersed in the world of dogs and haven’t met one I didn’t love. The connection I share with them is more than a mere fondness; it's a genuine calling and I often feel I myself was a dog in a past life. With a solid track record of four+ years in dog care along with my wife (who also adores dogs as much as me), spanning across various platforms, I've so far consistently found that the most exceptional dogs and owners are right here on Rover. My experience extends to dogs of diverse breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I’ve never had a bad day hanging out with dogs and consider myself lucky to do so! Can’t wait to chat more and meet your pooch! We pursue career’s in the arts, affording us ample free time to invest in the companionship of your beloved dog. I feel our job is to lavish your pooch with love and unwavering attention during your absence, like you’d give them if you could! Every dog in our care deserves a tailor-made experience, one that works with their unique personality and preferences and we love discussing their needs with you in advance of the service. As a proud owner of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, my wife and I understand the importance of fostering a welcoming and loving environment. We offer boarding opportunities on a case-by-case basis, treating your dog as a treasured guest in our home and only taking on one dog at a time (aside from our own sweet boy) . Here, they'll bask in royal treatment and be seamlessly integrated into our family, spending minimal time alone and tons of time on walks, couches and laps. Throughout your dog's stay, we’re more than happy to keep you engaged with updates (or FaceTimes) ensuring you're connected to every moment they spend with us, if you wish. So entrust your cherished companion with us, and allow us to extend our passion and devotion to your furry friend—because your dog deserves nothing short of extraordinary care.
“Parisa was an absolute angel. Our beloved pet rabbit became sick while we were out of town, and she immediately stepped in to provide emergency care without hesitation. Her compassion, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals truly saved our little one’s life. We are forever grateful for what she did. she went above and beyond in every way imaginable. It’s rare to find someone as kind and dedicated as Parisa, and we can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. She’s simply amazing”
“Amazing service as usual! It wasn't until the day after we left for our trip when I realized that I missed a day on the initial booking. Adam was more than willing to go in that day with no notice so our cats wouldn't go a day without food. Thank you Adam, we are so grateful!”

About: I enjoy taking care of pretty much all types of pets. I just love animals. I've taken care of little guys ranging from dogs and cats to snakes and turtles. I am also very good with puppies and I get along very well with large dogs. I personally raised a Rottweiler and before him I had a pit bull and an Akita. I also tend to take care of some pets for family friends and my moms coworkers. They call me to walk dogs and watch houses. Currently i live with a roommate who also loves animals. I am able to care for and handle all sizes of dogs and cats. I assist my mother with my little sister on Monday evenings and Sunday Afternoons. I also work at a cafe part time in the mornings for 2 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday I personally can't allow pets over right now but when I walk or pet sit I like to let them lead. I don't try to make them do anything they aren't comfortable doing and I feel letting them take the lead allows them to initiate content on their terms. That way trust between us is easier to build. Also a treat never fails.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, mostly chihuahuas and rescues, so I’m very comfortable with pups who need a little extra patience, reassurance, or understanding. My hands-on experience goes far beyond casual pet care. At Miami University, I was part of Paws for a Cause, where we helped train dogs to prepare them for working with children or future companion roles. This gave me a strong foundation in obedience training, reading body language, and supporting dogs with different temperaments. More recently, I’ve been volunteering with the Evanston Animal Shelter, working with dogs who have a wide range of behaviors and needs. There, I’ve assisted with medication administration, training sessions, enrichment, and helping nervous or high-energy dogs feel more comfortable and confident. I’m also on a path toward becoming a Physician Assistant, which adds to my calm, attentive, and health-focused approach. I’m comfortable managing routines, monitoring for changes, and making sure each dog feels safe and cared for. Overall, I bring a mix of lifelong experience, formal training exposure, shelter work, and genuine love for dogs of all personalities. Your pet will be treated with patience, structure, and plenty of affection. I work full-time as a medical scribe during the day (9–5), so evenings, weekends, and holidays are when I’m most available for pet care. During those times, I’m fully focused on your pet’s needs—whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company. My schedule outside of work is very flexible, so I can reliably fit in consistent visits or longer stays. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walk times, crate routines, and any training cues you use. I take time to get to know your pet’s personality, comfort level, and boundaries so they feel safe and relaxed. I provide plenty of attention, enrichment, and calm companionship, and I always keep water fresh, watch for behavior changes, and send regular updates so you feel connected. If I’m hosting in my home (or doing extended stays), I make sure pets have a quiet, clean space to settle in, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and a consistent routine. Safety is a top priority, doors secured, no access to anything unsafe, and lots of supervised time. Whether I’m in your home or mine, your pet gets patient, reliable care with the goal of making them feel comfortable, understood, and well-loved.
“Love, love, love Quyn! I have 3 cats and 2 of them are horribly shy yet Quyn was able to find and photograph them. She has an incredible amount of patience and you can tell she loves animals. HIGHLY recommend and you better believe we will use her again (if she'll have us)!”

Evanston dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alex was great! He was very communicative and took good care of my dog and kitty, including giving the dog his daily medicine and brushing my kitty. I even had a plumbing issue occur while I was away, and Alex let me know right away and did some quick clean up before the plumber could arrive.
Dimitrios was fantastic! He took excellent care of our two dogs and managed to get our very finicky eater to eat food when we were away. He went above and beyond in making sure our dogs were well cared for and their wet paws didn’t leave a mess on our floors. Thank you! We will definitely rebook!

Mae was great with Legacy. She handled six drop-ins over three days, sent photo updates, and made it easy to feel comfortable while I was away. Legacy seemed calm and content when I got home, which is exactly what you hope for. I also really appreciated that Mae took the time to walk Legacy during her visits. Legacy is a big dog and can be a little more challenging because of her past trauma, but Mae handled her great I’d absolutely book Mae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely good with dogs.

Our 6 month old puppy cuddled up with Revan after only a few minutes and I was convinced she really is the dog whisperer. Our cat came out to see her too! It's very rare that our cat comes out when a new person is in the house. We are excited to have Revan housesit next month and know our babies will be in the best possible care.

Anusha took great care of my pug Maui while I was away for the weekend, and I really appreciated the updates and attention she gave him. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Maui was happy and well cared for. I would definitely use her again in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!

I was really nervous about leaving my pug Maui with a pet sitter because the last time I boarded him at a kennel, he unfortunately lost his eye. After reading all of Eli’s positive reviews, I decided to give him a chance, and I’m so glad I did. Eli was amazing. He was super responsive, very on top of everything, and truly cared about Maui. You can tell he takes what he does seriously and wants both the pets and owners to feel comfortable. Maui absolutely loved him! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Maui was in good hands. I would definitely use Eli again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. 🐾

Sarma did an excellent job. I highly recommend her! She took great care of a large English bulldog that can be stubborn and moody. Sarma took him on his walks and played with him in the yard. She administered his medications and prepared his food well. She also took care of the cats well and offered to do more than asked. I found Sarma to be extremely diligent and timely with her visits and pictures. She is highly recommended!!!
Absolutely recommend Rebeca! You can tell she really cares about dogs and loves what she does. My dog Snoopy has anxiety & is very shy at first but he felt at ease with her as soon as he met her during the meet and greet. She was so gentle, patient & sweet with him right away. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. I will def be booking with her again!

Etta is the best with my little guy. She sends a lot of picture and I love knowing he is so happy when she is around. This was my fourth time booking with her and I will continue to book with her. Thanks Etta for being so great I have no worries when I go out of town because of you!

Gwen is wonderful - so much so that I’m almost reluctant to leave such a good review for fear she Could become less available! She really understands dogs’ similarities as well as appreciates their differences, and knows how to, and is quick to cater to those needs. My pup has some fear-based reactivity and Gwen has been super open to being there with her how she needs someone to be when I can’t. It’s an amazing thing knowing you have someone you can trust to just bring a little happiness to your pup in such an easy going manner even on short notice when you can’t. I feel lucky to have found this person.
