About: Hi there! My name is Maika, an avid pet lover from the suburbs of Chicago. I’ve had years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. We lost our own dog earlier this year, Blue, a rambunctious blue heeler & collie mix. I am very comfortable handling more “difficult” dogs since Blue was reactive to other dogs and other triggers. If your pet needs training I can be strict but loving at the same time! I am a huge believer in keeping dogs active to keep them happy and healthy, so I'm more than happy to take dogs on not only long walks, but runs or hikes too. I’ve always been a dog lover so Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time cuddling and playing with some furry friends! I'm available most times during the week and weekends. I'm currently taking time off work before moving in early September so my schedule is quite open. I am not able to host dogs, but I will accommodate your pet's needs and schedule in your home. I know some pets can be stressed when their person leaves, so I am sure to keep as regular of a schedule as possible and give them extra attention to make the transition easier.

About: My house has always been filled with pets! My entire life I have never had less than two pets in the house, currently owning three cats and one dog. Being brought up in a household like this has allowed me to gain natural skills in pet care, with those skills becoming second nature today. Pet care is not something I can consider a job, as it is too much of a personal passion! I’m currently a college student working towards a career in wildlife rehabilitation, hoping to continue caring for animals. I am experienced with pets of all ages and can ensure that your pets will not only be safe and cared for, but loved and cherished as my own! While I am working one other job, it is part-time and I will remain available on days I am working. I offer services that involve pet care outside of my personal household. About: I love animals, I feel connected to them. Pets have been in my heart, life and home since I was 5 years old. I’ve walked dogs for friends, family and for elderly friends. Also, I substitute for my dog-sitter/walker friends on Rover when they aren’t available. I helped breed Yorkies at one point, and helped find them homes. I’ve fostered cats in the past and currently own one :) I am available during the day between 10am and 2pm, Monday through Friday. I work part time before and after that, but I will be as flexible as possible I do have a fenced yard. Also, I am a runner. I can walk or jog with your pup if you’d like the exercise for them.

About: My daughter and I have been boarding dogs for 2 years and love it, we really focus on one families pet at a time so we give him/her our full love and attention. We will take up to 2 dogs at a time. We love to walk and play with the dogs. We have a large fully enclosed back yard in addition to a park at the end of our block we can walk dogs around a large walking path. I work from home so it can be a bit messy but its always clean if that makes sense. We text photos and funny videos of us with your pet. My daughter is saving to get her own dog in a few years and learning about various breeds and how much responsibility it is to have a pet. She is liking that she gets half of the funds we make doing this and it gives her a good financial perspective on earning money. We love these dogs as if they were our own. WE love taking care of pets, We love staying active walking and playing with the dogs. We will not take dogs if we do not have time for them. I Have an enclosed back yard that is perfect for active dogs to chase birds and have a bit of an area to run free. We do walk the dogs to our local park at the end of our block.

As a dog owner, I've been through training with the Humane Society for Dog Manors 1 & 2. I understand dog body language communication, and know its important to listen to what your dog is saying!
