“Thank you Ella for walking our two pups while we traveled to Greece!!!We loved getting daily updates with photos while we were gone!!You were such a gift to us that we could travel with the comfort knowing they were so well cared for!!!🐶🐶💖💖”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors pets and my own for about 11 years now! I have worked with all type of dogs. From those who need meds to those who just need to hang out! I’m very flexible! From July 20th to August 7th I’ll be working a day camp from 9-3 but I am an early riser! The rest of the summer, and the weekends, I am completely free and at your disposal! At home I walk my dog, feed him, administer meds if need be and play with him! I’ve done the same for the other pets I’ve babysat for!

“Donna was great to our puppy. She is communicative and trust wordy. Our little ball of energy would come tired from a walk. Definitely would use her again. Thank you Donna”

About: I have many years of experience with dog-sitting from energetic puppies to 60 pound golden doodles. I have experience with walking/ caring for more difficult dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats and I love all animals! I’m home for the Summer from college so I have a lot of flexibility. The only times I’m unavailable are July 11-18 and August 10-14. I will keep your home clean and tidy and respect your space like it’s my own. I’m a small person so I can accommodate any living space.
“Stephen is an incredible dog sitter and walker! He is incredibly professional, caring and attentive. We loved getting photos of our dog after each visit - both action shots and close ups. We are grateful for Stephen's attention to detail, professionalism and care.”

About: Growing up I have always had 3 cats at home and have pet sitted for a little over 5 years! My clients have had a mix of dogs and cats so I have experience with both! I can do drop-in visits in the mornings and evenings to feed them, walk them, etc. But the time frame can vary depending on the pets needs and my work schedule I feed them, play with them, walk them, and change the litter boxes (cats). If any more care is required you can text me if needed!
“Anna is amazing! She has been walking our pup every day for the past few months. Anna not only walks Charlie but actually spends time playing with him and training him - she even taught him the paw command! Anna sends very detailed reports and lots of cute pictures after every walk. Being first time puppy owners we feel so lucky to have Anna looking after our pup!”

About: I’ve fostered over 50 animals and just enjoy being with animals and want to show them the world. I’ve worked with dogs from 1 month to 9 years. I will be attending the university of Tennessee this fall and I’d love either morning to afternoon work. I always communicate before bookings and will try to be as flexible as possible! I’m very patient and I’ve fostered over 50 animals so I’ve worked with all personalities and ages. I try to care for dogs like they are my own. I have a rescue who is an anxious dog so I have experience in that as well.
“Five stars and two paws up! Isa has an eye for detail, professional demeanor, and is easy to communicate with. She’s super responsible with my pup and I highly recommend her :-)”

“Bill is a reliable dog walker. He was great with our dog, Bella. He was flexible when adding extra walks last minute. He is also very responsive. I highly recommend his services to others.”

“Aleksandra was amazing! She stepped in at the last minute this week as a substitute walker and my dog warmed up to her so quickly. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future!!”

About: I love animals, I feel connected to them. Pets have been in my heart, life and home since I was 5 years old. I’ve walked dogs for friends, family and for elderly friends. Also, I substitute for my dog-sitter/walker friends on Rover when they aren’t available. I helped breed Yorkies at one point, and helped find them homes. I’ve fostered cats in the past and currently own one :) I am available during the day between 10am and 2pm, Monday through Friday. I work part time before and after that, but I will be as flexible as possible I do have a fenced yard. Also, I am a runner. I can walk or jog with your pup if you’d like the exercise for them.
About: Hi there! My name is Maika, an avid pet lover from the suburbs of Chicago. I’ve had years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. We lost our own dog earlier this year, Blue, a rambunctious blue heeler & collie mix. I am very comfortable handling more “difficult” dogs since Blue was reactive to other dogs and other triggers. If your pet needs training I can be strict but loving at the same time! I am a huge believer in keeping dogs active to keep them happy and healthy, so I'm more than happy to take dogs on not only long walks, but runs or hikes too. I’ve always been a dog lover so Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time cuddling and playing with some furry friends! I'm available most times during the week and weekends. I'm currently taking time off work before moving in early September so my schedule is quite open. I am not able to host dogs, but I will accommodate your pet's needs and schedule in your home. I know some pets can be stressed when their person leaves, so I am sure to keep as regular of a schedule as possible and give them extra attention to make the transition easier.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
