“Amy came out to walk our lab, Ralph, on Christmas Eve with less than 24 hours notice! She responded to our last minute request right away and was extremely accommodating and professional. About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I've raised two German shepherds. Unfortunately, they have both passed now. But I would walk both of these larger dogs, whether they pulled or not. I also still have a 9 year old cat who loves naps and cuddles. However, he is still back home with my parents. In my childhood, I had a cat named Oreo who was grumpy and didn't enjoy pets, so I can handle pets who don't enjoy physical touch as well. Additionally, I volunteer at the C.A.R.E animal shelter on Monday nights from 6-9 PM. Although I am still in college, I try to schedule all my classes on two days of the week. So, I will be readily available to take care of your pets on three days of the week. Currently I am available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! I also have a part-time job that will require me to work every other weekend. However, I can always look to change my schedule if it is desperately needed. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I will also provide fresh water during each visit. Additionally, I will send photos and updates to ensure your dogs safety and health. Plus, I will make sure they get plenty of playtime!

“While living in Chicago we were fortunate enough to find Berni to dog sit at our home with our two German Shepherd Dogs. After her first stay while we were on a 10-day Alaska cruise, she watched them on several other occasions before we moved to New Hampshire. Our oldest German Shepherd had surgery to repair a torn ACL and she even watched them while having to help him with a harness and give him medication. We have never been worried that our boys weren't in the best care while she was with them. As luck would have it, she is now in Boston and we have stayed in touch - she has watched/stayed with our boys several times since she moved and we consider her a part of our family. She is very sweet, smart, dependable, huge animal lover and We Love Her! ”

“Elaine is fantastic! I haven’t used the Rover app before, but Elaine has walked and taken care of my two dogs several times over the past few years. She goes above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable. One of my dogs used to have separation anxiety and struggled to sleep when the family was away on vacation. Elaine would play calming music and sit with him until he calmed down and fell asleep. He now loves her and doesn’t get stressed when we’re gone. Elaine is also great about sending updates and locking up the house.”

He grows attached to pets (and livestock) very quickly, and cares for them as if they were his own. He also understands the responsibility of caring for pets as he has two Labrador Retrievers of his own, one that is older and needs gentle TLC, and a two year old who is like a bull in a china shop, requiring a firmer (and strong!) hand. He also loves to send pictures of the pets (or cows, or chickens, etc.) he is taking care of. Be confident and comfortable that Jake will take the best of care with your four legged family members.”
