About: I’ve cared for dogs for as long as I can remember and raising my easygoing Chihuahua, Chico, since he was a puppy gave me hands on experience in all aspects of dog care. During our time together, I successfully potty trained him, taught him basic commands, and cultivated a calm demeanor. I also handled all his grooming needs, from trimming his nails and cleaning his ears to providing oral care and bathing. In addition to caring for Chico, I’ve looked after pets for friends and family, gaining experience with different personalities and needs. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for two years, where I helped care for both dogs and cats. There, I learned valuable skills like socializing cats and dog walking techniques. My love for animals started early; growing up, I spent my summers on my grandparents' farm, where I formed a deep bond with their dogs and cats. They usually had 2 to 3 dogs and a cat, and I cherished every moment with them. I work as a Substitute Teacher with a flexible, self-made schedule, giving me plenty of free time to prioritize your furry babies' needs above all else. I’m based in Illinois but will be in Los Angeles from 10/23 to 12/2 for Thanksgiving break. I’m also happy to adjust my travel dates or extend my stay if needed—just let me know what works best for you! I genuinely love animals. I enjoy their company and playing with them. I'm very attentive to pets needs and can easily read their needs. I live in Vernon Hills (NW suburb), my neighborhood is quiet and dog friendly. There are also forest preserves nearby to go on walks. Having lived and loved Chicago, I’m also interested in house sitting within the city.

“This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous about how it would work out, but there was no need to worry because Davide was exceptional! Davide is an extremely caring and conscientious dog-sitter whose highest priority was making sure our 13 year old dog was comfortable, engaged, and well-taken care of while we were away. Davide took our dog out for walks at every visit, and in addition to maintaining the feeding schedule, he also monitored how much he was eating, making any necessary adjustments to his meals that were needed. Davide also went above and beyond to look after our dog and our house, and sent us frequent reports and photos, which were all very reassuring. I was extremely pleased that Davide was looking after our dog and could tell that Davide is an experienced dog-sitter who anticipates what needs to be done and knows how to take care of any situation that may arise, whether it concerns a pet or the house. When we came home, our dog was happy and showed no signs of stress. I look forward to having Davide take care of our dog again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I would care for my neighbors animals when they were out of town. I’ve always loved dogs and have a 7 yr old Labradoodle, Max, that I rescued when he was a four month old puppy. He had escaped from his original owners and was missing for two days. When the police found him, he had been run over by a car. They couldn’t save his leg so he’s a tripod. He doesn’t even know he’s missing a leg. Max loves walks, water, and playing with his best doodle friend, Molly. I also have a lot of experience administering insulin shots for dogs. I would love to care for your fur babies the way I care for mine. I am semi retired and my time is very flexible. I’m available for daily walks or pet sitting. I’ll care for your fur baby exact same way I care for mine. My dog Max is living his best life with me. He receives lots of love, walks, snuggles, and playtime. I would give your dogs the same care and affection.
