About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, mostly chihuahuas and rescues, so I’m very comfortable with pups who need a little extra patience, reassurance, or understanding. My hands-on experience goes far beyond casual pet care. At Miami University, I was part of Paws for a Cause, where we helped train dogs to prepare them for working with children or future companion roles. This gave me a strong foundation in obedience training, reading body language, and supporting dogs with different temperaments. More recently, I’ve been volunteering with the Evanston Animal Shelter, working with dogs who have a wide range of behaviors and needs. There, I’ve assisted with medication administration, training sessions, enrichment, and helping nervous or high-energy dogs feel more comfortable and confident. I’m also on a path toward becoming a Physician Assistant, which adds to my calm, attentive, and health-focused approach. I’m comfortable managing routines, monitoring for changes, and making sure each dog feels safe and cared for. Overall, I bring a mix of lifelong experience, formal training exposure, shelter work, and genuine love for dogs of all personalities. Your pet will be treated with patience, structure, and plenty of affection. I work full-time as a medical scribe during the day (9–5), so evenings, weekends, and holidays are when I’m most available for pet care. During those times, I’m fully focused on your pet’s needs—whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company. My schedule outside of work is very flexible, so I can reliably fit in consistent visits or longer stays. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walk times, crate routines, and any training cues you use. I take time to get to know your pet’s personality, comfort level, and boundaries so they feel safe and relaxed. I provide plenty of attention, enrichment, and calm companionship, and I always keep water fresh, watch for behavior changes, and send regular updates so you feel connected. If I’m hosting in my home (or doing extended stays), I make sure pets have a quiet, clean space to settle in, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and a consistent routine. Safety is a top priority, doors secured, no access to anything unsafe, and lots of supervised time. Whether I’m in your home or mine, your pet gets patient, reliable care with the goal of making them feel comfortable, understood, and well-loved.

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors pets and my own for about 11 years now! I have worked with all type of dogs. From those who need meds to those who just need to hang out! I’m very flexible! From July 20th to August 7th I’ll be working a day camp from 9-3 but I am an early riser! The rest of the summer, and the weekends, I am completely free and at your disposal! At home I walk my dog, feed him, administer meds if need be and play with him! I’ve done the same for the other pets I’ve babysat for!

About: I've taken care of pets since I was in middle school— cats, dogs, turtles, lizards; the whole lot. I grew up with a cat and a dog, both of whom have passed, and now have a new dog who is a ball of energy! This past summer, I worked on a horse farm in Greece for a month where I honed my animal behavior recognition skills; I worked with two reactive farm dogs and earned their trust very quickly. I'm fairly athletic and enjoy long walks/runs with dogs, and if dogs could speak English, I'm sure they would give me glowing reviews about my tug-of-war and Frisbee skills. I'm assertive and friendly with dogs, gentle with cats. I'd love to meet your furry/hairy friends! I have administered pills to my dogs normally and clandestinely (with cream cheese, peanut butter), have wiped ears/muddy paws, bathed, etc. I'm pretty comfortable and experienced with most aspects of dog care and will let you know if there's something I don't know how to do. I work at ETHS, so I'm unavailable from 7:30-4pm every weekday starting in August. I also coach basketball during weeknights Tu/Th evenings. I might be able to do a walk or play session on my lunch break if you are close enough to the high school-- message me and we can work this out! Weekends are best for me but I'm pretty flexible! Communication is my upmost priority as I provide frequent updates with photos/videos. I will take plenty of pics/videos of your pets to show you how safe and happy your pets are in my care to give you peace of mind!

About: I’ve been living with and taking care of dogs since I could walk! In recent years, I have pet-sat for friends and family, and my family just got a new golden retriever puppy, in which I have been very involved with her training and care. I am quite open consistently this summer to take care of your pets! I spend my days working part-time and studying, leaving me with lots of time for drop-ins or house sitting. I am very attentive to pets, always looking out for signs of what they need or if they want to play. I love to give pets the enrichment they need to feel happy and loved!

About: Growing up I have always had 3 cats at home and have pet sitted for a little over 5 years! My clients have had a mix of dogs and cats so I have experience with both! I can do drop-in visits in the mornings and evenings to feed them, walk them, etc. But the time frame can vary depending on the pets needs and my work schedule I feed them, play with them, walk them, and change the litter boxes (cats). Being brought up in a household like this has allowed me to gain natural skills in pet care, with those skills becoming second nature today. About: Hi there! My name is Maika, an avid pet lover from the suburbs of Chicago. I’ve had years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. We lost our own dog earlier this year, Blue, a rambunctious blue heeler & collie mix. I am very comfortable handling more “difficult” dogs since Blue was reactive to other dogs and other triggers. If your pet needs training I can be strict but loving at the same time! I am a huge believer in keeping dogs active to keep them happy and healthy, so I'm more than happy to take dogs on not only long walks, but runs or hikes too. I’ve always been a dog lover so Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time cuddling and playing with some furry friends! I'm available most times during the week and weekends. I'm currently taking time off work before moving in early September so my schedule is quite open. I am not able to host dogs, but I will accommodate your pet's needs and schedule in your home. I know some pets can be stressed when their person leaves, so I am sure to keep as regular of a schedule as possible and give them extra attention to make the transition easier.

About: Going out of town? Your dog will love our friendly Evanston home located near Lake Michigan beaches and forest preserves. We provide weekly adventures such as trips to the dog beach and pooch park, walks in the neighborhood, playtime in our fenced in backyard, and lots of love and attention. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs in my family since I was born. I grew up in rural areas in the Midwest, and we always had at least one family dog of varying breeds. When I became an adult, I got a black lab puppy from my sister, who had rescued its mother while it was pregnant. I became very interested in dog training, reading any books I could get my hands on and applying their techniques. My lab, Asia, became the gentlest, most well-trained dog most people had ever met. We lost her at age 13; since then, we have always had a lab as a family pet and we have taken care of countless other breeds. About my yard We have a fenced back yard--it is a 6 foot fence around the perimeter with a 5 foot chain link fence between our yard and our friendly neighbor's yard. There is an open area where the dogs can roam freely, a concrete patio, and a vegetable garden that lines one side of the house between our yard and our neighbor's yard. Dogs are supervised by an adult when they are in our yard--we do not leave them unattended. The majority of your dog's outdoor time will be spent on walks and outings. I am a teacher, so I have weekends and holidays off. In addition, I have 2 young adults and a teen living with me who often help by cuddling and playing with our clients. We do not crate our clients unless upon request. Dogs are free to lounge on beds or furniture. No dog likes to be left behind, but we will do our very best to ease your pup's stress. I have over many years of pet boarding and training experience.
