About: Hi! I'm Livia, and animals have been my whole world for as long as I can remember. Over the years my husband and I have had our own four dogs, two bunnies, and two ducks (yes, really!), so "a little bit of everything" is genuinely our specialty. We don't have any pets of our own right now, which is actually one of the best things about your furry friend staying with us. Your pet gets the run of the house with no resident animals to negotiate with, which is a huge relief for shy, anxious, or reactive dogs/cats who just need room to decompress. And there's a LOT of room. Our entire downstairs is 2,000 square feet and completely open to our guests, with dog beds tucked into every room so they can pick their favorite spot. Outside is a full fenced-in acre yard: space to run, sniff, and roll around in the grass without ever needing a trip to the park. Best of all, at least one of us is home all day, every day. Your pet is never left alone and never crated (unless you'd prefer them to be crated). We're happy handling puppies still learning the rules, seniors who need a gentler pace, medications on a schedule, and nervous pets who need someone patient. And if anything ever were to come up, we're literally a two-minute drive from three different emergency vet clinics. We're looking forward to welcoming your pet! My husband and I both work from home, which is the whole reason we're able to do this so well. There's no window where the house is empty - someone is always here, in the same room (usually being used as a pillow by one of our guests!). That means your pet's routine gets to stay your pet's routine. Whatever their feeding schedule is, we'll keep it. Meds at 7am and 7pm? Done. A dog who needs a mid-afternoon nap in a quiet room, or one who wants to be outside every hour on the hour? Also fine. We're not working around a commute, so we can build the day around them instead of the other way around. You'll get a few photos and updates a day, so you can see exactly how they're settling in. And we always do a meet-and-greet before booking, so everyone (including your pet) knows who they're staying with before the first night. Our yard is a full fenced acre behind a 6-foot privacy fence, so there's serious room to run with no gaps to squeeze through. Inside, our whole downstairs (about 2,000 square feet) is open to our guests, with dog beds in every room so they can pick their preferred spot. Cats stay upstairs in their own quiet, private bedrooms with the doors closed, completely separate from any dogs. We don't have pets of our own, so nobody's defending their territory when your pet walks in. Every booking starts with a meet-and-greet, and if we're hosting more than one family at a time, new dogs meet slowly and on leash in the yard before they're ever loose together. If any pair isn't a match, they get separated. Someone is home 24/7, so your pet is never left alone. We're comfortable with medications, senior pets who need a gentler pace, and nervous ones who need time. And we're literally a two-minute drive from three emergency vet clinics if anything ever were to come up.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old and got my first pet who is turning 8 years old soon. We currently have four dogs in my house who I love. I have taken care of many peoples dogs when they have gone on vacation, I have made sure they were walked, fed, and entertained while their pet parents were away. I am currently working part time while I am a full time student. I have a very flexible schedule to walk your fur baby, you are more than welcome to contact me and check if I am available. I can make sure to walk your fur baby near your home or the route that you believe they would be most comfortable with. I can play with them and make them feel more comfortable with me. I will make sure to put their safety first whenever they are with me.

About: I have a half Australian shepherd half poodle named Luna! She’s been with me for 13 years since she was a puppy. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats since a young age and have lots of love towards them. They’re awesome and I’d love to help care for yours! I’m currently working a full time position that is predominately remote, with me having to go into the downtown office once a week. My schedule varies week by week. I am responsible and can hopefully get any special requests executed. I follow directions super well and am trustworthy. It’s scary having a stranger take care of your pet, I get it. They will be in special hands!

About: I’m your friendly neighbor who has taken in strays overnight (6 and counting!) I’ve grown up with all sorts of dogs- Rottweilers, labs, mutts- you name it, I love them. I got my first job at 15 so I could save up for a dog & rescued an 8 year old Maltese who lived another 8 years with us. I cared for him when he was old and sick, and have also gotten a chance to train teething little puppies. Back in my hometown I used to dog sit a few times a month, but since moving to Chicago I miss my furry friends dearly! Having your dog’s company will be a win-win for both of us. We have a fenced in yard. I also have a weight limit of 40 lbs, but if your dog is bigger and doesn’t jump or pull, I’d love to watch them! (Don’t want any dogs jumping on my mother-in-law lol!) I work from home full-time M-F and fortunately I have the flexibility to take walks and breaks throughout the day! I don’t have any sort of rigid schedule which leaves me open to get into a routine with your pup. I will follow their routine as much as possible. If it’s not apparent from my photos, I allow dogs on the furniture (that’s how you get the best snuggles)!

About: I just graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. I have grown up with pets and taken care of them for years! I’ve had dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! I have a lot of experience taking care of animals as I’ve interned at a zoo and volunteered at shelters and vet clinics. I’m very comfortable giving medications to pets as I’ve had a lot of practice with this with my own pets and while sitting! PLEASE READ** I am currently traveling in Europe and will not be home until October 10th. I am available after that for meet and greets or I can do virtual meet and greets as well! I am looking to move states in the coming months so I will not be available for long term sitting. My house has one kitten, and my backyard is not fenced in. I’d love to take care of your pet in either your home or mine, whichever is easiest!

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was young, starting with my neighbor's Old English Sheepdog. Today, I'm the go-to sitter my sister relies on to care for her little fluffball, whether it's for an evening away or extended vacations. I'm comfortable providing consistent, attentive care for every pet -- and following your every instruction to make sure your pet stays happy and healthy while you're away. I currently work a flexible, non-traditional schedule that includes fantasy illustration projects and teaching art classes. This gives me built-in gaps during the day that I'd love to fill with dog care, whether that means walks, playtime, or multi-day companionship. Your dog's routine and well-being are my top priorities. I make sure that your dog gets the best care possible and will follow all instructions to the letter: setting phone alarms to ensure potty breaks and meals happen right on time, monitoring treats so your dog is neither over- nor under-indulged, and sticking closely to established sleep schedules. I'm equally respectful of your home, taking care to leave it as clean and orderly (or better) than when I arrived.

About: I have been around dogs since I was 6 years old and love them! I have experience with miniature Schnauzers to Labrador/ German Shepard. I owned two wheaten Terriers over 20 years. I currently do not have any dogs even though my profile states I have 2. Those are my grand dogs! My nickname is Gogo and friends, family and neighbors all trust me with their dear pet. I am reliable, honest and go the extra mile to assure a dog is living their best life! I will be working until 2:45pm and will be available during the week after that. I am generally available on the weekends all day and available for overnight care. I am an avid exerciser and love to walk dogs, play with them and give them the time and attention they need. The dog is welcome to be in the home free to choose where they are comfortable, or if you prefer them in their own crate at all please provide that. My neighborhood is safe and has wonderful paths very close by the dogs love to walk on and sniff away!

About: I've owned two dogs and cared for both from puppyhood through their senior years, so I'm familiar with the different needs that come with each stage of life. My second dog also managed to get into more than a few unexpected situations, which taught me to pay close attention, stay calm, and recognize when something doesn't seem right. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I've dog sat for a number of others, each with their own personalities, routines, and preferences. I know every dog is different, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel comfortable and happy. I treat every dog in my care like they're my own and always do my best to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I currently work at Starbucks as a supervisor. I have semi-flexible hours and given enough notice I can make myself more available. (3 or so weeks) I always work try and work my schedule around yours. I typically work 8 hours a day and can’t usually step away to do a pop in during that time. I always strive to leave your home as you left it and your pups happy to see you arrive home again! If you need me to do house duties while I’m there I will do my best to assist with it.

About: I have had dogs all my life. I enjoy helping walk, groom and play with them so they can relax and nap by the fireplace. I have trained puppies and also have had senior dogs too as well as meds admin also. I work from home so dogs are vital to me and they make me feel so happy. I love them and they love me so it is a win win. It is nice to be popular too with my K9s as they enjoy my big fenced in yard too which we love to run around in and play all day. I follow directions given to me and listen to the owners as they know their baby best. Other than that I give the dogs all my love and attention.
