About: For the past 16 years, I've had the privilege of caring for the beloved pets of my family and friends. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs. My parents have two Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless) dogs who require plenty of attention, exercise, and interaction. Whenever my parents travel—often for several weeks at a time—I stay in their home to care for them. During that time, I provide multiple daily walks, playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection. I also carefully follow their routine, including administering daily medications and any special care instructions. I also have experience caring for dogs with separation anxiety and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm, reassuring environment. Additionally, I cared for a rescue dog with PTSD and, over time, earned their trust to the point where they felt comfortable approaching me for affection. Experiences like these have taught me the value of allowing animals to build trust at their own pace. Cats have been a part of my life for the past 16 years as well. About: I have experience doing in-home dog sitting, including administering supplements and medication (mixed in with food/pill pockets), feeding specialty diets, and playing with them. I recently moved to Chicago and am currently looking for employment. I love (and have always loved) animals, I have experience caring for and playing with them, and I would like to be able to meet many more! I am available for sitting 7 days a week, primarily between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; this does vary depending on the day of the week, however, and I am also willing to negotiate times outside of these hours. I will listen to what you tell me about your pet, and respond to your pet's reaction(s) to me accordingly. I will give them attention and pets and scritches if that is what is wanted; I will be unobtrusive and give them all the space they need, if that is what is wanted. I fall in love with every dog and every cat that I meet, and I would be honored to be able to care for your furbaby. Regarding your home, I will respect your space and the rules that you set. I will remove my shoes if that is what is asked of me; I will clean up after your pet and myself (i.e., throwing away/recycling any food cans, etc.); I will only enter the rooms that you permit me to, and I will not look at, let alone touch, anything other than what is required for me to care for your pet.

About: I have experience caring for a variety of animals through my work at zoos. I personally own a Siberian Husky and a cat, both of whom are 10 years old and in excellent health. I also have previous experience dog sitting for family and friends. Working at a zoo has given me an understanding of the importance of animal nutrition, exercise, and mental stimulation through enrichment. I am between positions at the moment, so I have plenty of free time to play with your pets, whether that means walking them or simply being there for them. I care deeply about my pets, and I understand you do, too. I always triple check doors when leaving to make sure your fur baby is safe. I am also comfortable with crating any dogs or feeding any shy kitties.
