About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and have had pets since I was 5 years old. I currently have two cats who I am the primary care giver. My late dog, Mara (a black lab), became diabetic when she was 11. For the last 3 years of her life, I administered her insulin shots twice a day. From March 2019-March 2020, I volunteered at CARE Skokie and have watched friend’s cats and dogs over the years while they were away. Animal welfare means a lot to me and I understand the importance of providing consistent and loving care. I would love to have the opportunity to be of service to you and your four-legged family member(s)! I recently resigned from my job in Wealth Management and am focusing on doing things that are more fulfilling and I love animals. I am currently working part time at a local garden shop and have a flexible schedule that allows me time to tend to your pet(s) as needed! I grew up with a dog and have two cats at home who I am the primary care giver for. One of my cats was very anxious when I left and didn’t want to eat or take medications, but Lisa was incredibly patient and persistent, and eventually she was able to help my cat feel comfortable enough to eat and take her meds. She provided lots of love to my cats and left my apartment in great shape, and she kept me updated every time she stopped by with info and photos/videos. About: I live in Edison Park, but work in McCook/Chicago during the day/week or sometimes from home. I manage my time really well, so I can make anything early in the morning,/on my lunch break work- plus weekends or after work. I have always had dogs my entire life. I grew up with a chocolate lab mix, then when she passed away my family got a three legged black lab and a chesapeake bay retriever. Then, when I was in college, a chocolate lab climbed into my car and after months of trying to find his owners, I decided to keep him. Those puppies have since passed, but our family has 2 giant black labs currently. I’ve also had 4 Guinea Pigs who I loved dearly. I currently work from home part of the time and love four legged angels (sometimes 3, I had a 3 legged dog growing up). I am available in the early mornings, evenings and on the weekends consistently, but can work out weekday daytime availability with advanced notice. I make sure the animals all have the appropriate food/water setups at all times (per owners instructions depending on pet’s specific needs), as well as making sure the temperature is comfortable for the pet. I prioritize exercise and bathroom breaks for each pet. There is never a lack of social interaction when I am around. Pretty much, I view pets as family and think they deserve the best. If they have specific requirements, I will always follow whatever rules the owner requests and talk through any concerns before booking.

Rosy was great! Both of my cats need pills and one is particularly adept at hiding in general, so we were worried about how he would react. She tried various strategies to get a pill in him, and even though it was unsuccessful in the end, I really appreciated her tenacity. She sent pictures and very reassuring updates after each visit.
