“Jacob was exceptional. He took in our 9 week old puppy Stella for a few days and took incredible care of her. From the initial meet and greet through pickup, he asked great questions, adhered to our requested schedule, gave her lots of exercise and snuggles, all while keeping us in the loop with daily status updates via pics and videos. We felt immediate trust and comfort with him and he did not disappoint. Stella will absolutely see him again soon.”

About: I have had a 3 dogs over the course of my life and 1 in college with my housemates. I have also cared for my senior dog when she was terminal for a year which gave me a lot of different experiences than usual animal care. I treat every dog I see on the street like my own and always stop for pets! I am currently a nursing student looking to make extra money. The program is online so I am available often to help out with whatever you need. I understand how to do the feeding schedules, walking schedules, and daily updates for parents as I take care of my dog at home some days for my parents as well. I can easily crate your dog if needed or help with feeding. I am great at following instructions and will respect your animal and your home accordingly!

“Mia was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter! From the very first visit, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals — my cat warmed up to her quickly and was clearly comfortable in her care. Mia was reliable and punctual every single visit, and she kept me updated regularly with photos and notes, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. She went above and beyond with little extra touches that showed real attentiveness. I'd recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring cat sitter.”

“Andrew was fantastic with our cats, and knowing they were in such good hands really allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation. We have a 1 year old and a 20+ year old, and he did a great job giving each what they needed, whether more play or more snuggle time. He sent us daily photos that showed how relaxed and at ease they were with him, and both seemed happy and confident when we arrived home. We plan to use Andrew again for all upcoming trips!”

“Katie is the exact person you’d want checking in on your pet while you’re away! I felt at ease knowing that our cat was in good hands while we we’re gone. She added very detailed notes and photos to every check in - which we loved! I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future!”

My cats loved spending time with her and I would highly suggest utilizing Jiyai’s care for your furbabies. Jiyai was always on time, sent me pictures, and updated me twice a day while I was on my trip. Thank you Jiyai for the love and support you extended.”

About: I have had cats as pets since I was young, I have cat sat for multiple family friends, and am very used to taking care of cats that have special needs, weather it be daily medication, lots of attention and love, or to be mostly left alone if your cat is wary of people and introverted.
“Jason stayed at our home with our cat for a week - it was great to know our kitty was so cared for, and that our house was watched over as well. Jason kept in touch all week, and we absolutely loved the pictures he sent each day! We’ll definitely have Jason back next time we travel!”

“I am extremely happy with Isabela and her care of our two cats. We were away for close to two weeks and I was initially nervous about being gone that long. But, she took great care of them and sent daily updates and photos. I would highly recommend her and would be happy to use her again.”

“Scott has taken care of my cat twice now and does an excellent job. He feeds and spends time with Quinn and administers her insulin shots since she is diabetic. We are so thankful he takes such good care of our girl!”

About: I’ve had cats since I was two years old, and Ive been taking care of friends’ cats when they go away for years. I understand that every cat has its own distinct personality and make a point of respecting each cat’s unique boundaries!

About: If my parents weren’t trying to dissuade me from my dog obsession as a kid, they had to make sure I wasn’t sneaking stray cats into the house. I’ve house sat for clients who also had cats alongside their canine siblings, with the same tedious care and affection given to them as well. I also have experience administering medication (insulin) to a diabetic cat and testing blood sugar!
About: My first pets were 2 rats. I took care of them exclusively, bathed them, fed and cleaned up after them. The family cat Simba was mainly my responsibility with occasional help from family, and I would take care of our family dog Bentley when I was home for summers from college. I've helped care for several other animals when babysitting children, and occasionally dog sat overnight for other families over a 3 day weekend period. I've also loved my time volunteering at the local dog shelter where I walk, clean up after, and play with all the dogs up for adoption until they find their forever families. Also enjoyed a 6 week program at a dog shelter in Athens, Greece in 2024! I’m working part and full time depending on the week, but have most availability on weekends and later in the afternoons. Happy to do house sitting as long as the dogs can be alone for up to 6 hours on the days I work! I care for all pets as if they were my own, making sure they have all the attention and care they need and then some.

“Once again! Brinda was amazing with our sweet cat while we were away! Fabulous pictures, daily updates and made us feel at ease while we were on our family trip. We hope to continue using Brinda! Our boy was so happy and content on our return!”

“If I could give seven stars I would give this Cat Sitter seven stars we had a list of instructions five pages long and she filed everything every single instruction to the letter so our cat looks so great and healthy after being alone for four days so I am just thrilled at this Cat Sitter I cannot recommend her enough”

About: I have a half Australian shepherd half poodle named Luna! She’s been with me for 13 years since she was a puppy. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats since a young age and have lots of love towards them. They’re awesome and I’d love to help care for yours! I’m currently working a full time position that is predominately remote, with me having to go into the downtown office once a week. My schedule varies week by week. I am responsible and can hopefully get any special requests executed. I follow directions super well and am trustworthy. It’s scary having a stranger take care of your pet, I get it. They will be in special hands!

“This is the first time we’ve had someone (who is not our family) watch our dog. I was very nervous especially be in Poppy is young - she’s just a year old. Noor watched Poppy for a day. Noor was so patient with her - poppy was initially apprehensive to go in their house, but Noor took her time to ensure Poppy was comfortable. Noor asked questions about feeding, walks, general behavior & preferences. this put me at ease knowing she was thinking these. We did this trial daycare in preparation for a longer stay for Poppy later this year. Noor was also very communicative with texts and also a video! We were happy with the care poppy received and plan to book with Noor again!”

She took my pups on short notice and didn't blink an eye when I realized I had accidentally booked a 2-hour visit instead of 14 hours. She was happy to keep them the whole day, communicated proactively with fun updates and photos, and gave them access to a massive fenced-in yard that they absolutely loved. She made a stressful booking mistake completely stress-free. Thank you, Rebeca!”

About: Hi! I'm Livia, and animals have been my whole world for as long as I can remember. Over the years my husband and I have had our own four dogs, two bunnies, and two ducks (yes, really!), so "a little bit of everything" is genuinely our specialty. We don't have any pets of our own right now, which is actually one of the best things about your furry friend staying with us. Your pet gets the run of the house with no resident animals to negotiate with, which is a huge relief for shy, anxious, or reactive dogs/cats who just need room to decompress. And there's a LOT of room. Our entire downstairs is 2,000 square feet and completely open to our guests, with dog beds tucked into every room so they can pick their favorite spot. Outside is a full fenced-in acre yard: space to run, sniff, and roll around in the grass without ever needing a trip to the park. Best of all, at least one of us is home all day, every day. Your pet is never left alone and never crated (unless you'd prefer them to be crated). We're happy handling puppies still learning the rules, seniors who need a gentler pace, medications on a schedule, and nervous pets who need someone patient. And if anything ever were to come up, we're literally a two-minute drive from three different emergency vet clinics. We're looking forward to welcoming your pet! My husband and I both work from home, which is the whole reason we're able to do this so well. There's no window where the house is empty - someone is always here, in the same room (usually being used as a pillow by one of our guests!). That means your pet's routine gets to stay your pet's routine. Whatever their feeding schedule is, we'll keep it. Meds at 7am and 7pm? Done. A dog who needs a mid-afternoon nap in a quiet room, or one who wants to be outside every hour on the hour? Also fine. We're not working around a commute, so we can build the day around them instead of the other way around. You'll get a few photos and updates a day, so you can see exactly how they're settling in. And we always do a meet-and-greet before booking, so everyone (including your pet) knows who they're staying with before the first night. Our yard is a full fenced acre behind a 6-foot privacy fence, so there's serious room to run with no gaps to squeeze through. Inside, our whole downstairs (about 2,000 square feet) is open to our guests, with dog beds in every room so they can pick their preferred spot. Cats stay upstairs in their own quiet, private bedrooms with the doors closed, completely separate from any dogs. We don't have pets of our own, so nobody's defending their territory when your pet walks in. Every booking starts with a meet-and-greet, and if we're hosting more than one family at a time, new dogs meet slowly and on leash in the yard before they're ever loose together. If any pair isn't a match, they get separated. Someone is home 24/7, so your pet is never left alone. We're comfortable with medications, senior pets who need a gentler pace, and nervous ones who need time. And we're literally a two-minute drive from three emergency vet clinics if anything ever were to come up.
“Stephen is an incredible dog sitter and walker! He is incredibly professional, caring and attentive. We loved getting photos of our dog after each visit - both action shots and close ups. We are grateful for Stephen's attention to detail, professionalism and care.”

“Karen was great. She took the time to meet Sadie and understand her needs. The two walks were just enough to satisfy Sadie and give me peace of mind that she was being well cared for. Thank you Karen!”

About: I am a life-long animal lover that turned that love into a career after moving into my home with a fenced yard. I have experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. I purchased my home with my dogs in mind as I've got a fenced yard and I wanted to make sure that they had plenty of room to run around. Your dog will be treated like family while they're staying with me. I have three dogs of my own that range in age from 2 to 12, so no matter what speed your dog likes to go we've got something for them. For anyone little who needs it I've got stairs to get up on furniture. My pup, Lego, LOVES to play and will welcome any playmates with open paws. We've got tons of toys and chews around the house and lots of beds and couches to lounge on if that's what they're into. Other than occasional errands I may need to run, I am home full-time with the dogs. Due to this, the dogs don't have a lot of opportunities to get bored…in fact I have many owners texting me after telling me how tired their dog was after staying here! I try to let the dogs be outside and play to their heart’s content (weather permitting, of course). I started Rover as something to do on the side to spend time with dogs, and it has grown to be a full time gig for me and I couldn’t be happier. Being around dogs is truly what brings me joy--it would be my pleasure to take care of your pup while you're away. WHAT KIND OF DOGS DO BEST HERE? My goal is to let the dogs interact and play as much as possible, so well socialized dogs do best at my house. If your dog prefers to be alone or has aggressive/anxiety-based behaviors, then I may not be the sitter for you. Please keep this in mind as you consider me as a potential dog sitter. I am not for every dog and we want to ensure your dog is comfortable in its environment. Please note that I do foster dogs for Chicago Rescue Authority. Foster dogs will never interact with any guest dogs until they have been fully vetted and thoroughly tested to ensure they can safely interact with the pack. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and lizards. I have worked at an animal sanctuary, I have worked with disabled animals, and will give your pet the attention and love they deserve. I just graduated from the university of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in philosophy, I am taking a few months off of my regular 9 - 5 to take time for myself so I have a very open schedule. There is no time too early or too late for me to come help, just let me know what works best for you and your animal. I will feed, play with, walk, and spend time with your animal to make sure that they feel loved and cared for. I have no problem staying the night if your animal gets anxious without people around or making multiple visits within a single day.
