About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and lizards. I have worked at an animal sanctuary, I have worked with disabled animals, and will give your pet the attention and love they deserve. I just graduated from the university of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in philosophy, I am taking a few months off of my regular 9 - 5 to take time for myself so I have a very open schedule. There is no time too early or too late for me to come help, just let me know what works best for you and your animal. I will feed, play with, walk, and spend time with your animal to make sure that they feel loved and cared for. I have no problem staying the night if your animal gets anxious without people around or making multiple visits within a single day.
About: I have had two beautiful golden Retrievers and love dogs in general. My golden Wyatt passed away but I adore and love and miss him so much. Now with a new year one year old puppy who is HUGE , I absolutely want to meet more friends of fur. I work daily but have a flexible schedule and can attend animals during the workday as I make my own hours. I also can stay overnight on Friday through Sunday for overnight sitting. I care for pets making sure they have the essentials, food and water. That being said I love to spend time with them all always they are amazing and I love playing with animals and making them feel as human as possible.
“Abby has cat sat two times for me and is gentle and kind to my feline Furkids Velvet and Pepper. Abby gives velvet her insulin shots and gets her to play with wand cat toy which is good exercise for her. Pepper is the athletic one and lives to play with Abby. She gets on the floor to play with them and gives them affection while I’m away which is a relief to me knowing they are cared for. Abby has a big heart and great personality; sending pictures and video and texts! She is super sweet and my cats love her too.”

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was young, starting with my neighbor's Old English Sheepdog. Today, I'm the go-to sitter my sister relies on to care for her little fluffball, whether it's for an evening away or extended vacations. I'm comfortable providing consistent, attentive care for every pet -- and following your every instruction to make sure your pet stays happy and healthy while you're away. I currently work a flexible, non-traditional schedule that includes fantasy illustration projects and teaching art classes. This gives me built-in gaps during the day that I'd love to fill with dog care, whether that means walks, playtime, or multi-day companionship. Your dog's routine and well-being are my top priorities. I make sure that your dog gets the best care possible and will follow all instructions to the letter: setting phone alarms to ensure potty breaks and meals happen right on time, monitoring treats so your dog is neither over- nor under-indulged, and sticking closely to established sleep schedules. I'm equally respectful of your home, taking care to leave it as clean and orderly (or better) than when I arrived.
“Came home to happy and well-adjusted pets. Logan did a great job socializing with our dogs and very shy cat. Loved the photos she sent us each visit. We could see that they were enjoying their visits from Logan. She was perfect for our quick trip away to move our son off to college.”

“Ella is a fantastic pet sitter. She's reliable and communicates well. I've used her for dog walks, house sitting & drop in visits for my cat. She's always exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Ella to anyone look for a pet sitter who they can count on.”

“Gabrielle is incredible! She takes great care of our 10 year old lab, leaves details notes and is great with communication. She is definitely our go to dog sitter!”

About: I’m a Northbrook mom of three with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, reptiles, and more. I know how much trust it takes to let someone else care for your animals, and I don’t take that lightly. I’m the person who shows up on time, follows your instructions, and treats your pets like part of my own family. I pay attention to the little things; routines, quirks, favorite toys - so your pet feels safe and understood while you’re away. My goal is simple: you come home to a happy, relaxed pet and feel completely confident booking me again. I’m home consistently throughout the day, which means I can offer dependable check‑ins, walks, and drop‑ins without rushing or squeezing your pet into a packed schedule. I build my day around predictable routines, so your pet gets care that’s calm, consistent, and on time. In your home, I treat your space with the same respect I give my own. I lock up carefully and keep things tidy. My goal is simple: you should feel completely at ease knowing your pet is safe, understood, and genuinely cared for.

“Andrew was wonderful. My two standard Poodles liked him right off the bat. He was communicative, punctual and always happy with a smile on his face even when it rained.”

About: I have been around dogs since I was 6 years old and love them! I have experience with miniature Schnauzers to Labrador/ German Shepard. I owned two wheaten Terriers over 20 years. I currently do not have any dogs even though my profile states I have 2. Those are my grand dogs! My nickname is Gogo and friends, family and neighbors all trust me with their dear pet. I am reliable, honest and go the extra mile to assure a dog is living their best life! I will be working until 2:45pm and will be available during the week after that. I am generally available on the weekends all day and available for overnight care. I am an avid exerciser and love to walk dogs, play with them and give them the time and attention they need. The dog is welcome to be in the home free to choose where they are comfortable, or if you prefer them in their own crate at all please provide that. My neighborhood is safe and has wonderful paths very close by the dogs love to walk on and sniff away!
About: I am 28 years old and work from home. I have flexibility and availability on weeks days to pop in for a visit or stay all day with your dog/cat. I have had a dog of my own in the past and loved taking him on walks and now have a puppy of my own. She is a rescue who is nervous around people so if your dog is similar I have plenty of experience on that front. I also prioritize schedules and fulfilling your pets needs. I am a very active person so if your dog is high energy I love talking them on walks/ runs to the lake. If they are older or more chill I give great belly rubs. Your pet will be in very good hands with me. What sets me apart is I don’t only focus on the physical needs of you dog, but the mental needs as well. If you share with me what tires out your pup mentally I will be sure to incorporate that into their routine with me. I work from home and have a light schedule so can take out and play with your dog during the day. I love playing fetch or tug of war In my clients homes I am very respectable. I am there to make sure your dog is well taken care of and I will utilize what is needed at your place to do that, but nothing more.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Northbrook
I’ve been using Amy for a month now to let my dogs out midday. Not only does she keep an eye out on odd behavior from any of them, she’s even picked up how much one of my dogs loves alone time and gives her that extra attention. It is much appreciated knowing my dogs are being cared for each on an individual basis!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
