About: For the past 16 years, I've had the privilege of caring for the beloved pets of my family and friends. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs. My parents have two Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless) dogs who require plenty of attention, exercise, and interaction. Whenever my parents travel—often for several weeks at a time—I stay in their home to care for them. During that time, I provide multiple daily walks, playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection. I also carefully follow their routine, including administering daily medications and any special care instructions. I also have experience caring for dogs with separation anxiety and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm, reassuring environment. Additionally, I cared for a rescue dog with PTSD and, over time, earned their trust to the point where they felt comfortable approaching me for affection. Experiences like these have taught me the value of allowing animals to build trust at their own pace. Cats have been a part of my life for the past 16 years as well. I've cared for cats with a wide range of personalities, from playful kittens and affectionate cuddlers to independent cats and senior companions with special needs. I also volunteered at a local animal shelter, where I helped clean, socialize, play with, and care for the cats to help them feel safe and comfortable while waiting for their forever homes. Whether I'm caring for dogs or cats, my goal is always the same: to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and treated like family. As a full-time student with a flexible schedule, I'm able to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including daytime visits, evening care, weekends, and many last-minute bookings. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet will be treated with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I'm currently a full-time sonography student completing my clinical rotations. Before returning to school, I worked in the medical field, most recently at a cancer center, where I developed a strong commitment to providing compassionate, attentive care. Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am, and that same dedication extends to the animals I care for. For years, I've been the person family, friends, and neighbors rely on to care for their beloved pets. About: Hi my name is Nina! I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life and over the last 2 years I’ve truly fallen in love with pet care. I am trustworthy, flexible and go above and beyond for your furry friend. Just as I would take care of my own! I’ve worked professionally as a pet sitter including drop ins, long walks and over two weeks at my clients home. Taking care of your home as much and I do your pet! About: I grew up with dogs, but didn't get my own until about 6 years ago. Since then, life has revolved around our pup! I love to walk and will tend to any needs your dog may have. My own pup has a digestive disease, so I am comfortable with giving meds and following strict dietary plans. I know how hard it can be to leave your pup and how important it is to have reliable, loving care! I am very flexible with my time! I am usually available between 8 am and 9 pm. About: I have had pets my whole life. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 chickens. As a child we also had a hermit crab and guinea pigs. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always felt very natural to me. My last dog was with me for 14 years, and I got to experience every stage of her life with her. I went from playing with her as a little kid to taking her on walks and eventually helping care for her as she got older. Having her alongside me for so many years made her feel like a constant part of my life, and I really grew up with her in a way that I’ll always be grateful for. My current dog has been with me for four years and was rescued from a breeding farm. When we first brought her home, she was extremely nervous and wouldn’t even leave our mudroom. It took a lot of patience and consistency for her to become comfortable, but now she sleeps in my bed and follows me everywhere. That experience taught me that every dog has a different personality and comfort level, and sometimes they just need someone willing to give them the time to adjust. Maple (Her name) has taught me so much about her, myself, and how to care for different dogs. Given that she lives at home with my mother while I’m at school, I miss her like I’d miss a sibling or parent and we both always get unbelievably excited to see eachother when I am home for breaks. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and building a relationship with them. Whether they’re energetic, shy, older, or just love attention, I like figuring out what makes each dog comfortable and happy. I think caring for pets gives me just as much joy as I give them, which is why I take it seriously and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I am a current junior at the College of Lake Forest, studying psychology and I’m as well a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team. Given that, my schedule can get fairly busy during the afternoon and early evening most days however I am very good at managing my class schedule and athletics schedule to best make time for what I need, which will be the pet. No matter what home I’m in I will provide the animal with better than proper care. About: My family has had dogs since I was 5 years old - ranging from weimareners to toy poodles! I love pets and have extensive experience walking, feeding, bathing my own and friends/families pets. I am home for the summer from college and in the process of finding my first full time marketing role. About: I've taken care of my hyper active dog that likes to jump off walls for 10 years. I took care of a couple coworkers' pets (3 dogs) for weeks on end while they were on vacation. I've taken long walks with dogs no matter the weather, as long as the doggy is well prepared for the weather (ie winter coats and summer shoes). My previous dog loved sticking his head out of the car when I drive so I can drive around with your doggy if thats what they want. Taking them on nature walks will always be my favorite thing, so dogs can experience something new. I do work full time in lake forest but I thankfully have a flexible schedule, especially for lunch. I am able to take 1.5 hours for lunch so I can always swing by the house for a check in. I'm always free on weekends to give the animals the most love and care I will keep up to date on any issues that arises and be vigilant in making sure the animals don't mess up the garden or make a mess in the house. We enjoy spending time at home but also taking long walks in the neighborhood or forest preserve. I integrate dog walks in my daily exercise routine, but also spend quality time at home to ensure they have company and love in the home environment.
