“This is the 3rd time I have had Denis and Nikki watch our pets and if they are available, we would never consider anybody else. They take great care in what they do and it shows. They not only take excellent care of our animals but they make sure the house is ok also, taking out and back garbage, bringing in packages on the doorstep and mail, etc. They are excellent and our family would highly recommend. About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 8 years and truly love spending time with animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m very active, patient, and dependable, so whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or your senior pet needs a calmer, gentler approach, I’m happy to adapt to their needs. I understand how important pets are to families, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re gone. Pet care fits very naturally into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy staying active and spending time with animals. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays, especially afternoons and evenings. I enjoy going on walks, being outdoors, and giving pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I’m also reliable with feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, medications if needed, and keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are doing well. Creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for pets is very important to me. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines closely so pets feel secure and relaxed in their familiar space. I pay close attention to instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crate training, and any special needs or behaviors. I’m patient, attentive, and always prioritize safety during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old. I have experience with dogs ranging from 6 pounds to 102 pounds. I have taken care of sick dogs as well as large dogs that have trouble walking. I genuinely love and care for every dog I encounter. I have availability throughout the week from the morning to the afternoon (Mon-fri). I am happy to do up to 5 walks a day. I cannot work weekends. I’m very aware when opening a door to not let the dogs escape. I understand that some dogs don’t enjoy their crate and have learned tricks to getting them to enter. I keep a strong grip on the leash in case of a squirrel encounter.

About: Back in my hometown for the summer from traveling. Caring and walking dogs for friends and family has felt second nature. Every dog gets my full attention, whether we're out on a walk or keeping them comfortable and calm at home. I love to share digital updates so you're never left wondering, just missing them a little less. I always welcome a meet and greet before your first booking so your pet feels comfortable and you feel confident! My schedule is flexible throughout the day which means I can work around what works best for you and your pet. I typically have availability in the mornings, midday and evenings and always give advance notice if anything changes. I treat every home with the same respect I'd want shown to my own. Your pet stays in their familiar environment which means less stress and more comfort. I stay attentive, keep disruptions minimal and if anything ever seems off you'll hear from me right away.
About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs and have over 10 years of hands-on pet-care experience. My family dog, Darwin, has been with us for 13 years, so I understand the patience, attention, and gentleness that older dogs need, especially as they begin to lose sight, hearing, or mobility. I also care for Lucy, our 3 year old dog, who keeps me active with walks, playtime, and lots of fetch. I’m comfortable caring for both young, energetic dogs and senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra help, or a calm routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they are well cared for while their owners are away. I am currently working a part time job and am very flexible with scheduling throughout the week. I am available weekdays and weekends to take care of your dogs. I have experience with both a senior dog and a younger active dog, I’m comfortable adapting care based on age and ability. I can take things slow for older dogs, be patient with mobility or sensory issues, and provide active play and walks for younger dogs. I’ll always treat your pet with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own.
“Sydney took the best care of our cat Cooper and I could tell when we got home that he was given lots of attention! She was super thorough with all of her notes about her visits and took lots of great pictures for us to see our little guy while we were gone. Thanks for taking such good care of him!”

About: I am Isabella C. I am currently a freshman in college and I love learning about new experiences and meeting new animals. Last year as my senior year of high school I would take care of dogs within 20 miles, I would take them on walks depending how big or small the dog was I would tire them out. Sometimes I would dog sit and I would take the dogs out, give them medication and feed them. I am very responsible by taking care of them. I love dogs and I really enjoy their company and just learning more about them because they help us. I hope to meet pets with great personalities and continue to help these pets by taking them on walks or playing with them.
About: I have cared for both small and large animals for over 21 years. I also have a fenced yard for your dog to roam and go out as needed. I provide meals according to owner's instructions and clean up as needed. Also actively partake in play and exercise for the pets which I genuinely enjoy doing.
About: Hey, call me Franky but I’ve been taking care of dogs to 10+ years. I had a dog of my own until we had to put it down. Definitely the best 15 years of his life. Made sure he was a little chunky boy and took him out for runs all the time. I love exercising along side a friend. Especially mans best friend. I’ve take care of friends dogs and all equally love me the same. My availability is very open, as of now (July 2023) I am available Monday - Wednesday, all day no matter what. I’m also an active person, walking and even running to get a good workout in can benefit me and the dog in question. I make sure pets are within my vision, if not I make sure my surroundings are clear and definitely make sure food is not within reach for them to grab. In my home they will always be free and not locked to one area. Clients pets have all the rights and freedom.
About: I have had dogs all my life. I enjoy helping walk, groom and play with them so they can relax and nap by the fireplace. I have trained puppies and also have had senior dogs too as well as meds admin also. I work from home so dogs are vital to me and they make me feel so happy. I love them and they love me so it is a win win. It is nice to be popular too with my K9s as they enjoy my big fenced in yard too which we love to run around in and play all day. I follow directions given to me and listen to the owners as they know their baby best. Other than that I give the dogs all my love and attention.

About: I had 2 dogs growing up, and helped my parents take care of them. My parents were busy most days, so I was the one who would take them for walks. My dog recently got his teeth removed, so I also learned how to take care of him and how to feed him properly with that in mind. I’ve also had to take care of both dogs when my parents are out of town, taking them outside, administering medication, and feeding and providing water for them. I have done the same for my grandparents. I love animals a lot, and I volunteered at animal shelters in high school and can properly care for and clean up after many pets.. I’m currently taking all of my classes online, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I can be available at any needed times, both weekdays and weekends. I will provide food and water according to instructions. I will keep a clean, safe, and loving environment, and ensure that they get time to play and exercise regularly. I’m great at following instructions, and I am very attentive to any special requests that are given by the owner.

I amvery experienced keeping an active dog entertained. I can take small dogs for walks in your neighborhood
About: Hi! I'm Thalia, a 20-year-old from Cuba and currently a Lake Forest College student living in Highland Park. I have extensive experience caring for animals. Since I was very little, I've always been surrounded by animals. Back in Cuba, my mom and I would rescue many cats and dogs, and we've always had at least five cats at home. I've also volunteered for over two years with animal shelters such as Orphans of the Storm, taking foster cats with medical needs home until they find their forever one. This experience, along with my intent to become a vet after college, makes me comfortable working with animals with medical needs and following care prescribed by doctors. This lifelong experience has made me very patient and responsible, with a deep understanding of the skills and commitment required to care for pets. I am dedicated to ensuring the well-being of your furry friends. Thank you for considering my profile. Please feel free to reach out to me for further discussion! I usually do dog walks in the afternoons, but I’m very open to homesitting and animal care at any time of the day! I provide overnight care as well. I provide excellent care for animals and my clients’ homes by treating them with the same love and respect I’d give my own. With over two years of experience as both a pet sitter and house sitter, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to ensure pets are happy, safe, and well-cared for, whether it’s keeping up with their feeding schedules, engaging them with playtime, or making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. When it comes to homes, I pride myself on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, from watering plants to collecting mail, and I always leave your space just as tidy (if not tidier!) than I found it. I’ve even worked with animals who have special needs, so I’m comfortable providing extra care and attention when required. I truly enjoy creating peace of mind for my clients, knowing their furry friends and homes are in good hands while they’re away.
About: I have been involved with dogs of all sizes and personalities from a young age. I have had dogs of my own, as well having experience fostering dogs and cats. On top of this, I have also been tasked with watching a variety of dogs, some of whom have extensive behaviors from previous abuse, who relied on me for all of their basic needs and cuddles! I have extensive volunteering experience at my local animal shelter, which taught me how to handle dogs of all different types of temperaments and backgrounds. Overall, I will deliver high quality services to your furry friend, including giving them my full attention and care. I am working full-time but always have time for my furry friends! I have Tuesday's off as well as some weekends, and I would love to make playing with your fur baby part of my routine! Though I cannot bring pets to my own home, I love to see your pet in their natural environment and allow them to stay as comfortable as they normally would with you in your home. I love spending time outside with your furry friend, so I often take walks around safe and dog friendly neighborhoods to give your dog the best experience possible. I also enjoy playing indoors with dogs and giving them all of the attention they crave and deserve. I am very good at time management, which means your pup will stay on their schedule with food and potty breaks!
About: We've been watching dogs for friends and neighbors for years. Our whole family really loves dogs, including our 8 year old son who has grown up understanding how to love and respect dogs. We love taking dogs for walks, as much as 3 times a day, regardless of weather. With all the dogs we've watched for neighbors and friends, we've gotten very skilled at walking multiple dogs at once. For those furry friends who prefer a leisurely pace, we have a nice sized, fenced in backyard as well. We're happy to provide your fur-baby a home away from home in ours :-). To note, after our beloved bichon of 14 years passed away this summer, we decided to bring home a new puppy to our family. He's still learning to socialize but so far he's been cautiously curious. We fully intend to continue to socialize him regularly. I have returned to in office work but still have some work from home flexibility. Weekends of course, we are around for day time care and walks. We have a fenced in yard and keep close eyes on pups in our home. Happy to accommodate pups who are more comfortable with crate training.
About: I have been taking care of pets since I graduated high school, 2012, since then I’ve been petsitting and dog walking in various places. Recently I just graduated a veterinary technician program in Colorado and am a veterinary technician. I’m comfortable with all kinds of dogs or cats at any age. I’m also comfortable medicating pets at any age. At the moment I am currently looking for a new job so my schedule is wide open. Once I do start a new job I will be sure to update. I will be supervising the pets, my object is to keep things as neat as I can. I try and keep the pets routine the same as if their parents are still home.
About: I have taken care of dogs of all kinds over the last four years. I have the most experience with small dogs under 25 pounds. After a recent move to DC and away from my family dog, I am missing some quality time with furry friends! I have experience dog walking and dog sitting for puppies and middle aged dogs. I can’t wait to meet your pup! I work part time on a flexible remote schedule, so I have plenty of time to go for long walks with your dog during the day. I am an early riser (usually awake by 6:30 AM), so I’m also open to morning walks! I am flexible regarding dog/house sitting, and I am happy to watch your dog for a long weekend (or more!) while you are away. I have experience doing this at my own home and other people’s homes. I am responsible and reliable.
Highwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
I’ve been using Amy for a month now to let my dogs out midday. Not only does she keep an eye out on odd behavior from any of them, she’s even picked up how much one of my dogs loves alone time and gives her that extra attention. It is much appreciated knowing my dogs are being cared for each on an individual basis!
