About: I have had pets since I was 1 years old - whatever my parents let me get away with (dog, cats, fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs). As an adult I continue to own cats and dogs and currently own 2 cats. I will treat your pet as a member of my family while in my care. I nursed my cat to health from losing a kidney and he lived till he was 17yo. I nursed my geriatric dog with eye disease, arthritis until he was 14.5yo. I am more experienced with adult and geriatric pets than babies but welcome all. I am currently unemployed and seeking supplemental income. I'm also healing from CIRS/Lyme and need a walking partner to improve my health! My schedule is flexible although I do often have evening commitments with my son and his activities. My yard is large and fenced in. I live next to several walking trails and have a quiet neighborhood. I live close to a dog park and dog beach. I am familiar with crate training and administering medications.

About: I have had dogs all my life. I enjoy helping walk, groom and play with them so they can relax and nap by the fireplace. I have trained puppies and also have had senior dogs too as well as meds admin also. I work from home so dogs are vital to me and they make me feel so happy. I love them and they love me so it is a win win. It is nice to be popular too with my K9s as they enjoy my big fenced in yard too which we love to run around in and play all day. I follow directions given to me and listen to the owners as they know their baby best. Other than that I give the dogs all my love and attention.

“We had a very positive meet and greet with Denis and Nikki and their children and Thunder, their dog, awhile back, immediately after which we booked our dog Bailey for an overnight stay that's still to come. But unexpectedly this week I needed daycare for Bailey and so I decided to book Denis and Nikki to see how things went for just a day's stay. I am very pleased to report that it seems to have gone very well. Bailey apparently had a calm and peaceful stay there and got along with everyone, enjoying the opportunity to wander around a nice yard (which she doesn't have at home). Denis and Nikki are very welcoming and responsive, and seem to really love dogs and enjoy looking after them. Their home is well prepared to host doggy guests, with a safety gate inside the front door and lots of places in the house for dogs to make themselves comfortable. I received pictures and a Rover report at the end of the day, listing walks and other notable things that took place, which was nice. I have never had that level of detail provided before with other sitters. I feel very confident about Bailey's upcoming overnight stay, and I'm sure we'll be booking with Denis and Nikki in the future. Thanks for taking good care of Bailey, D & N!”

About: We work primarily from home and are available for your pet around the clock. We are affectionate and have experience training our own dogs successfully. Currently we have no pets and miss having their energy around. We are both active and healthy and have a Half-acre yard for the dogs to use under our close supervision. Huge neighborhood for great walks ! We are patient and able to meet the individual needs of your pet. There are no grandchildren in our lives, so no need to worry about toddlers poking at your dog. About: I have several years of experience with dogs. Growing up, I had a family dog and two years ago adopted one of my own. I’ve watched several friends’ pets and there’s nothing I love more than to get outside and walk a pup! I currently work from home, so I’m always available to keep an eye on your dog and tend to their needs! Our dog, Oakley, is very friendly and loves having visitors over! I work from home so I am available most of the day besides when I have meetings. My fiancé and I recently moved to the area, so we’ve been spending most of our weekends hanging around home and exploring the area. We have a dog who loves to cuddle and meet new friends! While we don’t have a fenced in yard, we live in a townhome with quick access outside. About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.
