Hello! After taking over a dog walking business for a friend while she was pregnant in 2014, I realized I enjoy meeting new dogs and wanted that experience to become a part of my daily life. I started using Rover in 2016 and have since provided almost 10 years of care through the app in both IL and CO. I currently work from home and therefore am able to provide consistent company, attention, and active engagement for your friend. I have experience with a wide variety of care-taking tasks such as administering oral medications, eye/ear drops, and IM/IV/SubQ medications, (I used to work in the medical field and have worked with diabetic pets before.) I mostly enjoy being active with pets as I consider myself an athletic individual and I believe cuddle time is well-deserved after a long walk or an energetic play session. As a result, I am particularly interested in working with larger or younger dogs, although I love low-maintenance couch potatoes too! : ) I would consider myself an ideal sitter for someone who is not seeking to introduce their pets to unknown animals and would prefer their pet remain in an environment that is familiar to them unless otherwise requested. I only work with one client at a time. I would be honored to not only work around your dog’s specific needs, but to also keep you updated throughout the day about their well-being via prompt communication. From a video call from your pup to messaging via the app or SMS, I am happy to get in touch with you at least twice a day about my time spent with your furry friend. Although I currently do not have a dog of my own, I used to have a German Shorthair Pointer and currently have one cat who lives with my husband and I. I had a hedgehog in my high school/university years and have provided long-term care to a chinchilla as well. Additionally, I have cared for rats, fish, goats, geckos, and iguanas so I would feel comfortable working with them as well.
