“Bill is a reliable dog walker. He was great with our dog, Bella. He was flexible when adding extra walks last minute. He is also very responsive. I highly recommend his services to others.”

“Karen was great. She took the time to meet Sadie and understand her needs. The two walks were just enough to satisfy Sadie and give me peace of mind that she was being well cared for. Thank you Karen!”

About: We're a family of five who adore pets of all kinds! We had a wonderful dog named Peace for about six years and plenty of experience petsitting for friends and relatives. Due to travel commitments, we currently have no pets-- which gives us plenty of time to care for yours. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works on a hybrid schedule, which gives us plenty of flexibility and allows us to be home for the majority of the day. Our daughter is currently enrolled in online high school, so she has plenty of time to walk, care for, and play with your pets! We have a large fenced yard and are able to crate your pets if provided. We'll take dogs for walks a minimum of twice a day and let them roam in the yard/provide at least a couple more potty breaks.
“Katherine is attentive to Nigel’s needs and always provides updates during their daily walk. Her help is very appreciated and I know Nigel always enjoys their daily walks too!”

“Highly recommend booking Viviana as a dog walker. She did a great job with our two pups, especially our older dog who can be a little feisty. She is very responsive and even came to meet our dogs beforehand to make sure she could provide them the best care possible.”

About: Although I am new to providing pet care to others, I have owned and cared for pets for most of my life. I have a new Bernedoodle puppy named Honey. I am also a single mom of two young boys and a full time special education teacher. I am currently a full time special education teacher and a single mom of two boys (currently ages 10 and 8). We have a new Bernedoodle puppy named Honey. I am available Monday through Friday between 3:30 and 8:30pm and Saturday and Sunday most of the day during the school year. Summers, winter breaks, and spring breaks allow me more flexibility durin the daytime hours. I have a large fenced-in back yard and lots of dog toys. We have a doggy door in the basement to allow dogs to get to the backyard in an potty emergency.
About: I’m currently only working part time and am looking for something extra to do that I’m passionate about! I have lots of experience volunteering at animal shelters, caring for friends’ dogs, and spending plenty of time with dogs of my own! I have always had dogs growing up, so I’m very used to taking care of them, loving them, and plenty of walks! I am currently working part time, so will have plenty of time to play with your pups! My schedule changes weekly but I will always have Mondays and Tuesdays free. I can plan week by week and commit to a long term set schedule. I love to spend time outdoors so will happily run around and be outside with the pups as much as they want to be out

About: I've had my own dog for 4 years, as well as taking care of my neighbors' senior dog while they are out of town. I am known for being responsible and I love being active so I'm always happy to go on long walks. I also run 3-6 miles every day and am happy to bring your dog along for some extra excercise. I'm looking to get a part time job over the summer, so I'll be free for at least a part of every day to hang out with your pets :) I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play! I also have several neighbors with friendly dogs always looking for new buddies to hang out with.
“Nicholas has been a great Rover for us! He is punctual and communicative about his visits, and he goes the extra mile spending time with our dog. We could not recommend Nicholas enough!”

“Donna and Stephen have truly been lifesavers over the past few weeks. They are incredibly timely and dependable, and they are always willing to help when they can. I also LOVE receiving multiple photos of my pup enjoying the walk so I know how happy he is to be out with them. Would strongly recommend this wonderful team to walk your furry friend!”

About: I have many years of experience with dog-sitting from energetic puppies to 60 pound golden doodles. I have experience with walking/ caring for more difficult dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats and I love all animals! I’m home for the Summer from college so I have a lot of flexibility. The only times I’m unavailable are July 11-18 and August 10-14. I will keep your home clean and tidy and respect your space like it’s my own. I’m a small person so I can accommodate any living space.
About: I’m a real person who loves all animals and I’d say dogs happen to be number one in my book. I like to think I’m a dog whisperer, but nothing has been confirmed yet. I treat them just like a good friend. I love to get us both some exercise and have some fun while we’re at it! I’d love to help you out with any care needed for your loved ones. They deserve the best and I’d like to help provide peace of mind. I am open to all breeds and sizes. Cats are welcome, even other pets and insects you may have excluding one, those hissing roaches would have to be the only exclusion. Thanks for Your consideration. Happy dog care taker hunting :) I prefer to care for animals early morning before my other demands take over…but would love to get to know your pets and be flexible when needed. Well, at the moment, I only have plants that require my attention. I love animals of all sorts and would love to have some of my own, but I plan to travel and I know that getting one requires a lot of attention. Giving them up after a certain amount of time is not an option.

About: I’ve been around cats my entire life, so building trust and connecting with them comes naturally to me. I also gained experience dog sitting for neighbors when I was younger, which helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and attentiveness when caring for pets. Today, I occasionally volunteer at Tails Together Animal Shelter, where my love for animals continues to grow. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply providing companionship, I’m committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My schedule is very flexible. I’m an honors student at Depaul on summer break. I’m available to work as early as 8 AM and as late as 10 PM. I have reliable transportation and have always taken being on time seriously. I’ll come to your home and follow any instructions you have for taking care of your babies! I’m organized and neat and understand that cleaning up after pets is part of the deal.

First time using Rover and I have full confidence in Claire C. I have a senior dog with health issues so I’m always concerned but Claire allows me to relax and focus on my job. Her communication is perfect and ability to adjust to dogs needs are fantastic. I appreciate her. Highly recommend.

Mirna is amazing! Milo looks forward to his walks with Mirna because she lets him take walk at his own pace and is so sweet around him. We look forward to her "Rover Card" every day because she is very detailed with her notes and you can not only tell she has experience with dogs, but also loves them. Thanks for everything you do.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Glenview. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glenview. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
