About: I have 10 years of experience caring for dogs of varied breeds and sizes. I've fostered several large breed dogs. I've also volunteered at two no-kill shelters to take the dogs waiting for adoption on walks and helping to socialize them. During the winter, I'm very mindful of keeping your pup's feet healthy, and have lots of experience putting on booties to protect their paws or making sure to wash off any salt after our walks if they walk uncovered. I'm familiar with all kinds of harnesses, collars, and leashes. Keeping your pup safe while we are out is my number one concern. I also love to capture photos of your pup to send to you. I'm available for drop-in visits and walks on weekday evenings and any time on Saturdays and Sundays. I don’t have a lot of evening commitments so overnight pet sitting works well for me. We also rarely travel for the holidays. I have a fenced in backyard with locked gates. We always monitor time out in the yard. Non-smoking home with dog gates to keep pups out of off limits areas. Building trust is important, so I approach all dogs calmly and provide them with attention and care according to the owner’s instructions.

About: Hi! I have a flexible schedule and love being able to structure my days around care work. As a social worker, I’m reliable, attentive, and calm in all kinds of situations. If my calendar doesn’t line up, message me anyway – I’m usually happy to try to make it work. I’m a lifelong caretaker (former teacher, child care provider, babysitter, and current servant to four cats). I grew up with dogs and have experience with everyone from wildly energetic puppies to senior pups who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m very comfortable with pet quirks. Food warmed for exactly two seconds? Specific petting rules? Emotional support hair tie? I get it. As a cat mom, nothing surprises me. Whether your pet wants long walks, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they’re safe, loved, and very well looked after. I have the most availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I also have some AM and PM availability so it’s easy for me to fit pet care into my day. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I do my best to follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable and safe. I make sure they get the right amount of food, playtime, walks, and attention based on their needs and personality. I also like to check in with photo or text updates so you know how they’re doing.

About: I have owned and loved dogs my entire life. I've had Labs (I currently have a Golden/Lab mix named Joey! He has ALL of the Golden retriever energy), Greyhounds (RIP sweet Gloria and Cougar!), Austrailian shepherds, and German shepherds as my own and/or family pets, and am very comfortable with high energy, big breeds. I love giving extra smart dogs some fun mental challenges to keep them occupied, and of course am happy to rub bellies for as long as the dog requests. I love the high energy and silly quirks of smaller dog breeds too! I've house sat and cared for animals off and on for over a decade, but have just recently reactivated my Rover profile and am looking to accept new clients. I work part time as a yoga instructor, and homeschool my kiddos. My schedule is VERY flexible, and I am often able to pick up day-of requests. I've a Type-A scheduler too though, so I love some advanced notice! I can't imagine my life without pets and feel strongly that a home just doesn't feel like a home without pets. I will treat your pets just like a family member, because that's exactly who they are! I love specific requests, and accomodating exactly what your pet is used to so they don't feel lonely or confused.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up looking after our family dog and helping with neighbors’ pets, and in my 20s and early 30s I regularly sat for, fostered, and checked in on friends’ and community members’ animals—mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional bird, frog, or turtle. About: I'm an avid pet lover who strives to provide excellent experiences for all dogs & cats in the Chicagoland area. I grew up in a house with 4 cats when I was between the ages of 0-10. When I was 11, my family adopted a German Shepherd / Husky mix, named Bear. I took Bear on walks, gave him treats, and fed him food and water. Nowadays, I dog sit / house sit for my siblings when they have to take trips out of town. I am experienced with dogs of all sizes, and I would be absolutely delighted to meet your furry friend! One of my priorities when I'm pet sitting is to maintain the pet care routine that you have established with your pet(s).
