About: I have 10 years of experience caring for dogs of varied breeds and sizes. I've fostered several large breed dogs. I've also volunteered at two no-kill shelters to take the dogs waiting for adoption on walks and helping to socialize them. During the winter, I'm very mindful of keeping your pup's feet healthy, and have lots of experience putting on booties to protect their paws or making sure to wash off any salt after our walks if they walk uncovered. I'm familiar with all kinds of harnesses, collars, and leashes. Keeping your pup safe while we are out is my number one concern. I also love to capture photos of your pup to send to you. I'm available for drop-in visits and walks on weekday evenings and any time on Saturdays and Sundays. I don’t have a lot of evening commitments so overnight pet sitting works well for me. We also rarely travel for the holidays. I have a fenced in backyard with locked gates. We always monitor time out in the yard. Non-smoking home with dog gates to keep pups out of off limits areas. Building trust is important, so I approach all dogs calmly and provide them with attention and care according to the owner’s instructions.
About: While I’m beginning my professional pet care journey, I’ve been around animals my entire life — including cats, dogs, turtles, and more — and I’m very comfortable providing loving, compassionate, high-quality care. I’m intuitive, empathetic, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator, which I believe are all important qualities when caring for animals. I understand how important it is to place your pets in trustworthy hands, and I’ll always treat your fur babies with the same love, patience, and attention I would want for my own. I’m not just there to complete tasks — I genuinely love animals and enjoy bonding with them, making sure they feel loved, comforted, and cared for while their humans are away. Whether your pet needs a fun, active environment or a calm and relaxing space, I’m happy to accommodate their unique personality and needs to help them feel happy, safe and comfortable while in my care. Thank you for considering me! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! :) I have a very flexible schedule as someone who creates my own work hours, which allows me to accommodate many different schedules and give your pet plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. I care for your pets in your home with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own. I greet them warmly and offer plenty of pets, cuddles, affection, and companionship based on their individual personality and comfort level. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean litter boxes, playtime, and any additional accommodations or care requested. For pets who require walks, I ensure they are safely harnessed and comfortable while allowing them time to explore and sniff at their own pace. I stay attentive to their surroundings, prioritize their safety around other animals, and make sure they remain comfortable in all weather conditions — never too hot or too cold. My goal is always to help your pets feel safe, cared for, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. :)
About: Hi! I have a flexible schedule and love being able to structure my days around care work. As a social worker, I’m reliable, attentive, and calm in all kinds of situations. If my calendar doesn’t line up, message me anyway – I’m usually happy to try to make it work. I’m a lifelong caretaker (former teacher, child care provider, babysitter, and current servant to four cats). I grew up with dogs and have experience with everyone from wildly energetic puppies to senior pups who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m very comfortable with pet quirks. Food warmed for exactly two seconds? Specific petting rules? Emotional support hair tie? I get it. As a cat mom, nothing surprises me. Whether your pet wants long walks, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they’re safe, loved, and very well looked after. I have the most availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I also have some AM and PM availability so it’s easy for me to fit pet care into my day. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I do my best to follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable and safe. I make sure they get the right amount of food, playtime, walks, and attention based on their needs and personality. I also like to check in with photo or text updates so you know how they’re doing.

“Cookie & Peanut thoroughly enjoyed their time with Angelica. It was so cute to see how the cats progressively looked more comfortable/silly with her throughout their time together.”

About: Hi, I'm Kit! As a long-time animal lover with two little cats of my own, I'm more than happy to watch your pet(s) while you're away. My rates are accurate! As I'm new to Rover, I'm hoping to start growing a referral base. I've been a volunteer at animal shelters since high school, and because of that, I understand that every dog and cat has a unique personality and routine. I've gained experience with feeding and play routines, socialization, and recognizing signs of stress or illness. Whether your pet is playful and social, or shy and independent, I'm ready to adapt to their needs. I’ll make sure your baby(s) get plenty of love, attention, and playtime, and update you with all the best of it so you can travel with peace of mind! I am employed full-time in the loop. Monday through Friday, I'll be in the office from 9-5, but my early mornings and evenings belong to your pet(s)! On weekends, I'll be happy to accommodate any time you'd like. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and stress-free environment for every pet in my care. Since every animal has different needs and routines, I take the time to carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and household rules. No one knows your baby(s) like you! For drop-in visits and overnight stays, I aim to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while they’re away. During walks, your pet(s) safety is my top priority. I stay alert to the environment, avoid unsafe situations and interactions, and ensure your pet(s) are secure at all times. My goal is to treat every home respectfully and every pet like they’re my own!
About: I have owned and loved dogs my entire life. I've had Labs (I currently have a Golden/Lab mix named Joey! He has ALL of the Golden retriever energy), Greyhounds (RIP sweet Gloria and Cougar!), Austrailian shepherds, and German shepherds as my own and/or family pets, and am very comfortable with high energy, big breeds. I love giving extra smart dogs some fun mental challenges to keep them occupied, and of course am happy to rub bellies for as long as the dog requests. I love the high energy and silly quirks of smaller dog breeds too! I've house sat and cared for animals off and on for over a decade, but have just recently reactivated my Rover profile and am looking to accept new clients. I work part time as a yoga instructor, and homeschool my kiddos. My schedule is VERY flexible, and I am often able to pick up day-of requests. I've a Type-A scheduler too though, so I love some advanced notice! I can't imagine my life without pets and feel strongly that a home just doesn't feel like a home without pets. I will treat your pets just like a family member, because that's exactly who they are! I love specific requests, and accomodating exactly what your pet is used to so they don't feel lonely or confused.
“Omg Jessica is so wonderful! She took care of my two cats for 1 week. She always sent super cute pictures. It’s comforting knowing that she works with animals at the shelter and would know how to take care of my kitties.”

“It was a great experience to work with Ingrid. She took good care of our kitties and kept the place super clean when our kitties had two hairball incidents. Ingrid also left a nice framed photo of the kitties”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up looking after our family dog and helping with neighbors’ pets, and in my 20s and early 30s I regularly sat for, fostered, and checked in on friends’ and community members’ animals—mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional bird, frog, or turtle. I adopted my own cat in my 30s and have lived with multiple pets while sharing homes with roommates. While much of this care was informal, it gave me a wide range of hands-on experience. After a particularly rewarding role walking dogs for a company from 2022 to 2023, I began freelancing and now work with clients through community referrals. I’m just getting back into freelance pet care after taking time off over the past couple of years to recover from injuries, and I’m really looking forward to being active in this work again. My schedule is currently quite flexible as I rebuild my client base, which allows me to accommodate a range of needs. I’d love the chance to meet your pets and provide attentive, reliable care. Take care! When I’m pet sitting or doing drop-in visits, I start by confirming the schedule and any specific needs or routines for your pet. From there, I focus on being both thorough and present—making sure all daily care is handled carefully while also spending quality time with them. I approach each visit with genuine affection and attention, so your pet feels safe, cared for, and well-loved while you’re away.
“Cathy was so great with my pup! My dog is very shy and Cathy went above and beyond to make my pet feel comfortable and happy! Also, she was very communicative with me about how my dog was doing! Cathy is a great dog sitter!”

About: I have been a dog lover my entire life so being around dogs comes very natural to me. Growing up with dogs has given me hands-on experience with daily care such as feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, cuddles, and providing lots of love and attention. I have cared for many different dogs over the years, each with their own personality, routine, and needs. I am very adaptable and am more than willing to follow a schedule and routine that fits your dog's needs. My highest priority is to provide safety and comfort to every dog I meet and care for. I'm currently a college student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available for dog walks and drop in visits. Weekdays (Tuesday-Thursday) I am available after 4 pm. Whenever I am spending time with a dog, I make sure they are in a safe, calm, and loving environment. I treat every dog as my own and ensure that they are content. I will be attentive to your dog's comfort, so it will be no issue to adapt to their needs and routine. In addition, I am more than willing to send updates so you can see how your dog is doing throughout our time together :)
About: I'm an avid pet lover who strives to provide excellent experiences for all dogs & cats in the Chicagoland area. I grew up in a house with 4 cats when I was between the ages of 0-10. When I was 11, my family adopted a German Shepherd / Husky mix, named Bear. I took Bear on walks, gave him treats, and fed him food and water. Nowadays, I dog sit / house sit for my siblings when they have to take trips out of town. I am experienced with dogs of all sizes, and I would be absolutely delighted to meet your furry friend! One of my priorities when I'm pet sitting is to maintain the pet care routine that you have established with your pet(s). I will customize each visit to the needs of your pet(s), and I will work tirelessly to ensure that they are comfortable, happy and healthy. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I love to go on walks, so I would love to have your furry friend(s) join me on as many as they wish! I am currently free every day of the week, except for Thursdays and Fridays from 5-8pm, and Saturdays from 9am-2pm. I'm currently fostering 2 cats for my friends. I feed them 3 times per day, play with them, and give them plenty of affection. When I dog sit / house sit for my siblings, I feed and water their dogs, walk them, administer oral medication(s), and I practice giving them commands, followed by providing them with treats, of course! I am comfortable with crating dogs of all sizes & ages.

Liz is the best! My two furkids love her, and she always keeps me informed on how they’re doing. It’s very reassuring while you’re away knowing that your kiddos are not only in good hands, but in the hands of someone you know really cares for them. Highly recommend!

Ryan was incredibly thoughtful caring to my puppies and took the job very seriously. He made sure that my puppies felt loved on and appreciated and he also took very good care of the house. His notes to me while ww were gone were detailed and thorough and included pictures. It was my first time using Ryan and I will continue to use Ryan in the future, given his trustworthiness and communication style. Super excited to have a reliable Dog Walker again.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found Tinsley to take care of our dogs. She started walking and looking after our four-year-old Goldendoodle, Stella, and our new Bernedoodle puppy, Harper. From day one, it was clear that Tinsley genuinely loves dogs and treats them as if they were her own. Stella and Harper both adore her, and Tinsley has been wonderful in helping Harper adjust as a young puppy. She is reliable, attentive, caring, and always keeps us updated on how the dogs are doing. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our dogs are in the hands of someone who truly cares about their happiness and well-being. We highly recommend Tinsley to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker. Stella and Harper are always excited to see her, and that says everything!

Mae was great with Legacy. She handled six drop-ins over three days, sent photo updates, and made it easy to feel comfortable while I was away. Legacy seemed calm and content when I got home, which is exactly what you hope for. I also really appreciated that Mae took the time to walk Legacy during her visits. Legacy is a big dog and can be a little more challenging because of her past trauma, but Mae handled her great I’d absolutely book Mae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely good with dogs.

Our 6 month old puppy cuddled up with Revan after only a few minutes and I was convinced she really is the dog whisperer. Our cat came out to see her too! It's very rare that our cat comes out when a new person is in the house. We are excited to have Revan housesit next month and know our babies will be in the best possible care.

Emily was perfect. She's all the things you want in a person you're inviting into your home to take care of your beloved pets: bright, communicative, experienced, and confident. This was a trial run before having her stay in our place for three days and two nights, and we won't worry about a thing while we're away. Highly recommended.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
