About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up looking after our family dog and helping with neighbors’ pets, and in my 20s and early 30s I regularly sat for, fostered, and checked in on friends’ and community members’ animals—mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional bird, frog, or turtle. I adopted my own cat in my 30s and have lived with multiple pets while sharing homes with roommates. While much of this care was informal, it gave me a wide range of hands-on experience. After a particularly rewarding role walking dogs for a company from 2022 to 2023, I began freelancing and now work with clients through community referrals. I’m just getting back into freelance pet care after taking time off over the past couple of years to recover from injuries, and I’m really looking forward to being active in this work again. My schedule is currently quite flexible as I rebuild my client base, which allows me to accommodate a range of needs. I’d love the chance to meet your pets and provide attentive, reliable care. Take care! When I’m pet sitting or doing drop-in visits, I start by confirming the schedule and any specific needs or routines for your pet. From there, I focus on being both thorough and present—making sure all daily care is handled carefully while also spending quality time with them. I approach each visit with genuine affection and attention, so your pet feels safe, cared for, and well-loved while you’re away.
“Annabel is fantastic! She took great care of my furball and I am grateful for the nice notes and pics while I was gone. It was nice to come home see a happy kitty, and know he was cuddled and had playtime everyday too. Highly recommend!”

“very responsible cat sitter! I'd recommend her to everyone who has a cats that needs a lot of attention. She did a very good job in playing with mine. Keeping my cat safe and happy while I'm away.”

About: I’ve had pets in my family all my life - dogs, cat, fish, bunnies - I’m a huge animal lover! I currently live with my adorable orange cat Franklin, and I’m open to meet lots more furry friends. During August-June, I work with kiddos, but now that summers here I have a very flexible schedule. I’d love to pet sit or dog walk for you, let’s connect :) I currently only work 2 days a week, as I’m on my summer break (I’m a teacher!). I have plenty of time to pet sit, dog walk, or let your animal out for a potty break, most days and times of the week! I am careful and considerate when entering clients’ homes. I will be sure to give your pet the care and attention they need that day!
“Hannah has been an absolutely wonderful pet sitter. They are always quick to respond when I reach out about a job, consistently show up when they say they will, and go above and beyond every time. Hannah is an incredibly strong communicator, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. It’s clear they genuinely care about both the pets and the people they work with. I would highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy to care for their animals.”

About: I have had a dog since I was about 7! I have also taken care of numerous neighbors and family friends dogs! I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes :) I am just ending my sophomore year in college and am heading into summer with a very flexible and free summer. I can be available throughout the week and weekend at various different times for dog walking, sitting and drop-ins! I am limited to public transport but I do not mind using it as well as walking! When walking, sitting, etc. for an animal I always make sure to listen to exactly what the owner asks of me, and treat any animal with full respect. I’m also good at reading animals body language and adjusting when needed!
About: I have been around dogs since I was 10 years old! I love to play with dogs and take them for walks, as it also allows me to be active. I used to coordinate with family and friends to visit their homes and take care of their dogs on days they worked in the office so that they were never alone. While I do work full-time, my schedule is hybrid, which gives me some flexibility. I'm in the office every other week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I’m available to visit your dogs during my lunch break or after work, depending on what works best for you! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to stick closely to their routines and preferences to keep them comfortable and happy. Maintaining open and consistent communication with pet parents is important to me. I understand how important peace of mind is when someone else is caring for your fur baby, so I will provide regular updates, photos, and am always available to answer questions or give quick check-ins. I want every pet parent to feel totally at ease knowing their pet is in loving, capable hands.
“Emily is absolutely wonderful! She looks after our cats like they're her own. She met our very timid girl for the first time this trip, and our scaredy cat who usually hates meeting meets anyone new was absolutely in love with her! She's amazing with giving them play times and treats and looked after our house as well. Absolutely! Will continue to trust. Emily with our babies 💜”

“Ingrid is great at communicating with us while watching our girls, and always goes above and beyond. She’s the best! We always trust our girls are in good hands when we’re away.”

About: Hi! I have a flexible schedule and love being able to structure my days around care work. As a social worker, I’m reliable, attentive, and calm in all kinds of situations. If my calendar doesn’t line up, message me anyway – I’m usually happy to try to make it work. I’m a lifelong caretaker (former teacher, child care provider, babysitter, and current servant to four cats). I grew up with dogs and have experience with everyone from wildly energetic puppies to senior pups who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m very comfortable with pet quirks. Food warmed for exactly two seconds? Specific petting rules? Emotional support hair tie? I get it. As a cat mom, nothing surprises me. Whether your pet wants long walks, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they’re safe, loved, and very well looked after. I have the most availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I also have some AM and PM availability so it’s easy for me to fit pet care into my day. When I’m caring for pets in my client’s home, I do my best to follow their normal routine so they feel comfortable and safe. I make sure they get the right amount of food, playtime, walks, and attention based on their needs and personality. I also like to check in with photo or text updates so you know how they’re doing.

“Cookie & Peanut thoroughly enjoyed their time with Angelica. It was so cute to see how the cats progressively looked more comfortable/silly with her throughout their time together.”

About: I have been a dog lover my entire life so being around dogs comes very natural to me. Growing up with dogs has given me hands-on experience with daily care such as feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, cuddles, and providing lots of love and attention. I have cared for many different dogs over the years, each with their own personality, routine, and needs. I am very adaptable and am more than willing to follow a schedule and routine that fits your dog's needs. My highest priority is to provide safety and comfort to every dog I meet and care for. I'm currently a college student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available for dog walks and drop in visits. Weekdays (Tuesday-Thursday) I am available after 4 pm. Whenever I am spending time with a dog, I make sure they are in a safe, calm, and loving environment. I treat every dog as my own and ensure that they are content. I will be attentive to your dog's comfort, so it will be no issue to adapt to their needs and routine. In addition, I am more than willing to send updates so you can see how your dog is doing throughout our time together :)
“Isabelle was amazing! We were able to finally leave the house without worrying about our pup, and Isabelle took very good care of Charlie. Hoping to book with her again soon!”

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was young and now a cat. I have recently raised a puppy. I’ve volunteered in pet shelters and helped neighbors. I work full-time with a flexible schedule, especially Thursday-Sunday. I’m available for housesitting and will be around mostly in the evenings or early mornings during weekdays. Weekends open. I will use whatever resources the client asks me to use during my visits. I will kennel if needed, can provide short training, or take outside.
Lincolnwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Dimitrios was fantastic! He took excellent care of our two dogs and managed to get our very finicky eater to eat food when we were away. He went above and beyond in making sure our dogs were well cared for and their wet paws didn’t leave a mess on our floors. Thank you! We will definitely rebook!

Jo was great, patient, and very knowledgeable. Our dog is scared of people but Jo handled the situation perfectly and was playing with our normally-nervous dog in no time! She was also very professional and kind. So grateful to find someone that we can trust with our pups!

Mae was great with Legacy. She handled six drop-ins over three days, sent photo updates, and made it easy to feel comfortable while I was away. Legacy seemed calm and content when I got home, which is exactly what you hope for. I also really appreciated that Mae took the time to walk Legacy during her visits. Legacy is a big dog and can be a little more challenging because of her past trauma, but Mae handled her great I’d absolutely book Mae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely good with dogs.

Our 6 month old puppy cuddled up with Revan after only a few minutes and I was convinced she really is the dog whisperer. Our cat came out to see her too! It's very rare that our cat comes out when a new person is in the house. We are excited to have Revan housesit next month and know our babies will be in the best possible care.

Emily was perfect. She's all the things you want in a person you're inviting into your home to take care of your beloved pets: bright, communicative, experienced, and confident. This was a trial run before having her stay in our place for three days and two nights, and we won't worry about a thing while we're away. Highly recommended.
