About: I have over four years of professional experience working in animal rescue, as well as a lifelong passion for animals. I have experience with and am comfortable handling dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and birds! I have medical experience and am particularly passionate and skilled at handling cats with medical/behavioral concerns. I can give injections, SQ fluids, and medications of all kinds. I also have experience handling dogs of all shapes and sizes, even our largest of friends! I am comfortable handling and working with dogs with behavioral challenges including resource guarding, touch sensitivity, etc. I have a great deal of experience and passion for kitties with behavioral challenges as well. I have reliable transportation and would love to meet your furry (or feathered) family members! I currently work 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am generally home the other days of the week, I have lots of flexibility and have my own car for transportation. I am very diligent about monitoring for our friends who are escape artists. I am happy to be patient with any shy/nervous/aggressive pets and meet them where they're at. I have sat for strangers, friends, and family members and care for homeless animals daily. My goal is to provide your pets with as much normalcy and comfort as possible!
About: My approach to pet care is based on being attentive – both to your instructions and to the ways in which your pet is communicating. When I am with your pet, I am really with your pet – I'm not distracted or thinking about somebody else. I care to get to know them and respond to their needs moment-by-moment while we are together. I have your pet's security and safety at the top of my mind – I am the type to review your care instructions every time I visit, and double-check that everything is properly locked up before I leave for the day. I could say that I will treat your pets like they are my own pets, but I will also say that I will treat your pets like they are my own neighbors: I will provide complete attention, respect, care, and friendship to your cats and dogs. Aside from pet care, I work on creative projects at home on my own time. That means I can generally put your pets first, and be responsive to your schedule. When we have an established pet care relationship, I am uniquely flexible and available for last moment needs: once we have a routine together, I am ready to support you at a moment's notice. Expert, High-Trust Service: I am responsible & orderly. I pride myself on being observant, discreet, and reliable. Whether you need a one-time visit or a consistent routine, I treat your home with total respect and provide the peace of mind that comes with a truly qualified caretaker. Beyond the Basics: I am deeply attentive to your pet’s needs—ensuring they are returned home clean, dry, and happy after every outing. I am also happy to assist with basic household chores, such as garbage removal, to ensure your living space remains stress-free. A Partner in Your Pet’s Life: If we establish a long term routine, my goal is to earn your trust so that, over time, I can provide the best personalized service possible. By managing the logistics and "little things" that often pile up (pet chores, household tasks, etc), I can lighten your load so you can get the most out of your time at home simply enjoying your pet. How'd I get to be a qualified caretaker? My professional background has involved providing personalized, high-trust support (ex. providing personal assistance to the elderly & managing high-value collections of rare items). In all those years, I've learned that providing attention and care was the common thread in the work I really loved – I can do that for your pets.
“Adriana is amazing and I’m very thankful she was able to accept my walk request on such short notice. My puppy was a little nervous but warmed up quickly to her.”

About: Having personally had Pitbulls and Catahoulas, and successfully help rescuing an abused, aggressive American Bully, i have a natural comfort level with powerful breeds and reactive dogs. "Spicy" behavior or hardcore barking doesn’t intimidate me. Over the years, I’ve learned to quickly pick up on body language and have gone through formal training courses with my own dogs, which taught me how to read and simmer down a stressed pup naturally. Something that I notice when walking my own dogs is that sometimes people don’t always have a sense of awareness of their surrounding relative to their dog’s behaviors and that can be frustrating to other dog owners. I’m someone that keeps my head on a swivel. I am highly aware of my surroundings and will intentionally alter routes to avoid triggers like other dogs, bikes, or crowds. This proactive situational awareness keeps your pup calm, safe, and stress free. Most importantly, I’ve never met a dog that I didn’t treat like my family. I am definitely guilty of giving one…or two…extra treats (unless you explicitly tell me not to, of course). I’m a “diet starts tomorrow” kind of guy. As long as I have notice, I should be pretty easy to schedule. I live in Lincolnwood, but have an office in Wrigleyville where I spend a vast majority of my day editing photography and video for my production company (YES! I do take photos of pets!) As long as I have some sort of notice, I’ll usually be able to get to a stopping point and get over to your house fairly quickly. Put simply, people who treat dogs like pets and not family weird me out a little lol. Dogs aren’t just pets, they’re a member of your family and they will be treated as such.
About: My names Gail! I am 26 years old and look to make some new furry friends. I have experience watching family dogs, friend’s dogs, and anyone who needs help. I have watched dogs in my home for as long as two weeks. I have gone to the clients house to watch the dog/cat or I pop in to make sure they are fed, go to the bathroom, and make sure they are walked and played with so they don’t feel lonely. I have my own way of transportation and super flexible in times. I can provide bowls and leashes if needed. I can give you updates as reassurance if necessary. I love being around dogs and cats! I love playing with them and making them feel at home (: I currently work about 5-6 days a week. I do choose my own schedule at the end of the week, so I am very flexible on time! I have my own car, so I am able to get around very easy. I am able to put puppers in or out of crates if needed! I am able to distribute any medications to pets. Making sure the pets feel safe and comfortable while their family is out of town!
About: I have experience with cats, dogs, birds, fishes, hamsters and other small creatures! I have experience with administering timely prescription medications, sensory activities, play time, long walks, bathing, and copious amounts of cuddle time! I have experience training puppies with potty time, pee pads, and tricks! Kittens with litter box training, and automatic litter box training as well. I work from home which allows me to have flexibility in pet care, drop in visits, long walks, boarding, and have high patience with animals. I have experience house-sitting cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and other small creatures. I am respectful of pet parents and their homes, and am mindful of quiet hours.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lincolnwood
Maya was delightful from start to finish. We had a last minute booking which she accommodated with no stress. I’m recovering from a surgery so I needed her for 4 walks a day for 3 days. She showed up on time every time and was so positive and full of good energy every time. She was also very amenable to a few time changes I needed to make. She’s very sweet with my pups and I will most definitely work with her again.

Allene has been a fantastic dog walker - communicative, punctual, and great positive energy for Rango - he always nearly wags his tail off when she arrives to take him! Allene does a nice recap at the end of the walk to let us know what the walk was like and what Rango was up to. We’re happy to have Allene booked for recurring walks with Rango and know he’s in great hands!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
