About: I have four American bullies. One orange tabby cat. And one turtle I like animals more than humans. And I am completely OK with that. I’m currently working part time. My availability is usually open during the week anytime after 6 PM. And my weekends are clear. I love pets and I will treat them as if they were my own family. Pets are welcome on couches and beds. Whatever makes them as comfortable as they can be. They can cuddle and get as many belly rubs as they want.

I have medical experience and am particularly passionate and skilled at handling cats with medical/behavioral concerns. I can give injections, SQ fluids, and medications of all kinds. About: Having personally had Pitbulls and Catahoulas, and successfully help rescuing an abused, aggressive American Bully, i have a natural comfort level with powerful breeds and reactive dogs. "Spicy" behavior or hardcore barking doesn’t intimidate me. Over the years, I’ve learned to quickly pick up on body language and have gone through formal training courses with my own dogs, which taught me how to read and simmer down a stressed pup naturally. Something that I notice when walking my own dogs is that sometimes people don’t always have a sense of awareness of their surrounding relative to their dog’s behaviors and that can be frustrating to other dog owners. I’m someone that keeps my head on a swivel. I am highly aware of my surroundings and will intentionally alter routes to avoid triggers like other dogs, bikes, or crowds. This proactive situational awareness keeps your pup calm, safe, and stress free. Most importantly, I’ve never met a dog that I didn’t treat like my family. I am definitely guilty of giving one…or two…extra treats (unless you explicitly tell me not to, of course). I’m a “diet starts tomorrow” kind of guy. As long as I have notice, I should be pretty easy to schedule. I live in Lincolnwood, but have an office in Wrigleyville where I spend a vast majority of my day editing photography and video for my production company (YES! I do take photos of pets!) As long as I have some sort of notice, I’ll usually be able to get to a stopping point and get over to your house fairly quickly. Put simply, people who treat dogs like pets and not family weird me out a little lol. Dogs aren’t just pets, they’re a member of your family and they will be treated as such.

About: I am an animal lover who’s been taking care of dogs since I was small I’ve watched family members pets walked them to parks and believe in spending quality time with our pets. If you need quick answers please feel free to call me. I am open through the weekends all day but when it comes to weekdays there might be restrictions but if I can get an email or a text I could see if I have time I am very flexible with my schedule as long as I am given a little time to prepare I make sure to follow up with feeding a dog first to give them time to digest their food and then playing with them because animals need love and companionship and after I would take the dog for a long walk because they need air and I find it helps them end their night right but if I was to start earlier in the day everything would be two to three times depending on the type of dog

About: I adore taking care of animals, and can give them that warmth and love they will crave in your absence! I would do this full time if I could, and am excited to experience new animal friendships! I work in the afternoon currently, so have plenty of day availability to help out, and can come right back after a night shift if further care is needed! I believe in the golden rule, and believe in treating your pets even better than I would want to be treated. Animals trust us for their love and care, and I would never let them go without!

About: My approach to pet care is based on being attentive – both to your instructions and to the ways in which your pet is communicating. When I am with your pet, I am really with your pet – I'm not distracted or thinking about somebody else. I care to get to know them and respond to their needs moment-by-moment while we are together. I have your pet's security and safety at the top of my mind – I am the type to review your care instructions every time I visit, and double-check that everything is properly locked up before I leave for the day. I could say that I will treat your pets like they are my own pets, but I will also say that I will treat your pets like they are my own neighbors: I will provide complete attention, respect, care, and friendship to your cats and dogs. Aside from pet care, I work on creative projects at home on my own time. That means I can generally put your pets first, and be responsive to your schedule. When we have an established pet care relationship, I am uniquely flexible and available for last moment needs: once we have a routine together, I am ready to support you at a moment's notice. Expert, High-Trust Service: I am responsible & orderly. I pride myself on being observant, discreet, and reliable. Whether you need a one-time visit or a consistent routine, I treat your home with total respect and provide the peace of mind that comes with a truly qualified caretaker. Beyond the Basics: I am deeply attentive to your pet’s needs—ensuring they are returned home clean, dry, and happy after every outing. I am also happy to assist with basic household chores, such as garbage removal, to ensure your living space remains stress-free. A Partner in Your Pet’s Life: If we establish a long term routine, my goal is to earn your trust so that, over time, I can provide the best personalized service possible. By managing the logistics and "little things" that often pile up (pet chores, household tasks, etc), I can lighten your load so you can get the most out of your time at home simply enjoying your pet. How'd I get to be a qualified caretaker? My professional background has involved providing personalized, high-trust support (ex. providing personal assistance to the elderly & managing high-value collections of rare items). In all those years, I've learned that providing attention and care was the common thread in the work I really loved – I can do that for your pets.

About: Lifelong dog owner and experienced cat caregiver. Proud dog mom to my rescue, Poncho. I’ll provide loving, dependable care, updates, and plenty of attention every visit. My schedule is currently more flexible than usual since my recent work contract ended, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and can often accommodate last-minute requests. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love being able to provide dependable, attentive care for pets while giving their owners peace of mind. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine always come first. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and any special requests. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own and provide regular photo and message updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Although my senior dog passed away in January and I don’t currently have pets at home, I’ve volunteered with a local cat shelter for the past four years. That experience has strengthened my skills caring for animals with different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or senior, I’ll provide patient, loving, and reliable care.

  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
