About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Their loyalty, companionship, and energy make them so special, and they deserve the same care and kindness in return. I’ve been around animals my whole life and have hands on experience raising and caring for both dogs and cats. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I treat them like my own and take the time to understand their personality and needs. I’m very patient and comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs who may need a slower and gentler approach. I also have experience with cats and understand that every pet has their own unique personality and comfort level. Whether your dog or cat loves to be active and go on walks or prefers to stay home and relax, I’m happy to match their energy and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I also like to keep owners updated with messages and the occasional cute photo so you can feel at ease while you’re away:) I have a 7 year old Boxer who lives with me. She’s very friendly, loves other dogs, and would be happy to have some company. I’m easy to get along with, responsible, and always do my best to make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. If there’s anything specific your pet needs, I’ll always try my best to accommodate. I’d love to be a great match for your furry friend! A little bit about me! I live in the Albany Park area and have my own reliable transportation, so I’m dependable and able to get to your pet when needed. I work freelance, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around your pet’s routine. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, longer stays, or even last-minute help, I’m able to adjust my availability to make sure your pet gets the attention, care, and consistency they need. Whether I’m caring for your pet during walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, their safety and comfort are always my priority. I politely ask that all clients have a fully completed and updated profile with recent photos of their pets, information about their personality, routine, behavior, and any special needs, as well as some information about themselves. This helps me feel more comfortable and confident accepting a booking and gives me a better understanding of you and your pet beforehand. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you provide as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and comfortable in their own home while you’re away.
About: I’m an extremely mobile pet sitter: I have a car - let me visit your home or take your pet to their desired destination! I work remotely full-time - I can provide more indoor attention if needed! I live a very active life style - I can run, play fetch, and/or wiggle a string all day long! Since I work remotely full-time, I can relocate myself to the pet’s house easily and bring my work, or host pets at my place. Either way, I can provide extra attention to animals in need. I believe in respecting the pet and matching their energy - if they are friendly and seeking attention, I’ll provide it; if they need time to warm up, I’ll give them space. I also want to respect the wishes of the owners - any instructions owners want applied to their pets in their presence, I will honor in their absence.
“Karli is amazing— she had an excellent rapport with our kitten and played with him the entire time, which is exactly what he needed. I felt confident leaving our little baby in her care, and I will absolutely hire her again. Highly recommended!”

About: I have had a variety of pets and have cared for a variety of animals (dogs, cats, birds and a turtle). A variety of breeds and ages. I am available most weekdays after 4pm. I am available most Saturdays in the AM and PM. I also am available Sunday afternoons and evenings. I make sure my dog has plenty of food and fresh water throughout the day. I take her outside to go to the bathroom in the morning and right when I come home. I take her on a walk. I play and cuddle with her a lot.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! I have worked in an animal shelter and vet clinic as a veterinary assistant caring for a variety of animals. I have had the privilege of fostering 100 animals (mostly neonatal and orphaned kittens!). I currently have three cats and an 18 year old Crested Gecko. Two of my cats are fosters that never left- both have cererbellar hypoplasia, or better known as wobbly cat syndrome! I have pet sat for many kinds of animals including cats, dogs, guinea pigs and reptiles. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Please note: I do not use flexi/retractible leashes to ensure safety. I am happy to bring my own slip lead or standard leash. Please, let me know if you have questions! I work from home and have a flexible schedule! I typically have afternoons and weekends free. I would love to learn more about what your pet’s specific care needs are! I want to hear all about your pet! What do they like, what don’t they like? What are their quirks and preferences? I want to learn about them because I want to make sure I am caring for them the way you would.
“Ellie took fantastic care of my cat Rufus. Her updates were very detailed and she took plenty of great pictures. I have already booked with her twice and would not hesitate to book again or recommend her to any of my friends with pet sitting needs!”

About: I offer in-home pet sitting and dog walking for local clients, providing feeding, exercise, and companionship for both dogs and cats. I'm comfortable administering medications and following individualized care instructions for pets with specific health or dietary needs. I've built lasting relationships with repeat clients through reliable scheduling, attentive care, and regular updates on their pets while they're away. I manage all bookings and client communication myself, balancing multiple pet-sitting clients alongside full-time work in animal care. Since I'm not currently working a set schedule, pet care fits easily into my day-to-day life. I have flexible availability throughout the week, including daytime hours, which means I can stick to a pet's normal routine without rushing, whether that's multiple walks a day, mid-day feedings, or checking in on medication schedules. I'm able to be consistent and present, so pets get the same reliable care and attention every visit. I treat every home like it's my own, securing doors, following the pet's normal routine for feeding, walking, and litter boxes, and sticking closely to any medication or care instructions. My clinic experience helps me catch early signs if something seems off, and I know how to let anxious or senior cats warm up at their own pace rather than forcing it. For dogs, I double-check leashes and collars and stay attentive on walks. I keep owners updated throughout, so they always know their pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for.
“Morgan checked in on our cats and they loved her! I appreciated knowing they were getting care and attention and treats. She was good about communication and directions on where things are, etc. Would definitely ask her to watch them again!”

About: I love animals deeply and treat all pets like my own. Family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors have always felt safe leaving their animals in my care. Plenty of free time as I have just moved back from London completing my masters and taking this summer off and would preferably spend it with more animals! Caring for pets is a natural part of my routine—I’ve always made space in my life for animal companionship (even as I was abroad). Whether it’s morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening cuddles, I genuinely love making animals feel safe and loved throughout the day. Spending time with pets isn’t just a responsibility or a job for me—it’s something I look forward to daily and consider a joyful part of my lifestyle. In the home of my clients I will always look out for choking hazards and ensure I see the animals in my care drinking water. I approach each pet's care with attention to their routine, personality, and comfort. I follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, keep their environment clean/enriched, and make sure they have companionship and mental stimulation. Clear communication with pet parents helps me tailor care to each animal’s unique needs.

“Cookie & Peanut thoroughly enjoyed their time with Angelica. It was so cute to see how the cats progressively looked more comfortable/silly with her throughout their time together.”

“MELINA IS THE BEST! I was gone for two weeks and she made daily visits to my fur baby. Mind you my cat isn’t the friendliest but she made sure he was well fed and looked after. She was so patient and friendly and made the process so smooth. She sent me photos and updates daily that made me feel so relieved being out of town for so long. Definitely rebooking her each time and recommending her to everyone!!! You fur baby is safe with her! Thank you so much Melina!! 10/10”

About: Your pets deserve more than just a sitter; they deserve someone who genuinely loves them. I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by animals, and for more than a decade I’ve turned that passion into a profession as a dog walker and cat sitter, while volunteering at local shelters along the way. I’ve cared for every personality under the sun including the shy ones, the wild ones, the velcro dogs, the aloof cats, and I love them all. What sets me apart? I treat every pet like my own. Not as a catchphrase, but as a promise. Accommodating each pet’s individual needs comes naturally to me, and every animal I care for gets the same love and attention I’d give my own. Your pet’s comfort, happiness, and safety are always my top priority. If you’re looking for someone reliable, communicative, experienced, and truly passionate about animals, you’ve found them. I hope to meet your pet very soon! I work from home during the week, so my schedule is pretty flexible! For drop-in visits and walks, I’m available after 4pm on weekdays and anytime during weekends. During our meet and greet, we can discuss all the ins and outs of your pets needs! Depending on the service, how I care for your pet in your home is variable. Dog walking includes 25 minutes outside, and 5 minutes inside for a little time to refresh their water, and playtime, or cuddle time, depending on what your dog is feeling! Cat visits inside, I tend to go by what one communicates during our meet and greet. Usually it will include cuddles, water refresh, and/or playtime. I will always take my shoes off, and double check to see if I locked your door correctly! :)

This was our second time booking with Joseph, and he is great! Responsible, thorough and communicative, plus our kitties absolutely love hanging out with him. We get tons of pictures and can relax and trust that our fur babies are taken care of. Highly recommend booking with Joseph!

This was my first time needing to leave my elderly cat to a sitter in ages, so I was a bit nervous. But Karli was wonderful! Easy to communicate with and coordinate with, and left me plenty of info and photos after the visits. I definitely felt at ease, and plan to work with Karli again in the future!

Jennifer was super on top of everything and a total natural with my cats, sending lovely detailed reports and photos each day. She went the extra mile to bring in a package I had delivered while I was gone without my asking. It was such a relief to know my kitties were in good hands with her. I will definitely book her again!

Hannah took excellent care of our cats while we were away for vacation! She is extremely thorough, communicative, and thoughtful. We really appreciated her detailed notes, photos, and videos from her visits and felt comfortable being away from our cats knowing they were being so well taken care of. Definitely would book with her again. Thank you, Hannah!

Ingrid was so great with our cat Binky, and having her coming to the house for drop-in visits while we were away gave us SO much calm and peace of mind! She knew how to interact with our cat and really got to know him on his own terms. She took care of everything while we were away and went above and beyond in ways both big and small. Ingrid was always on time and kept in touch with great updates and photos so we always knew Binky was well taken care of, happy, and content. Thanks so much for all of your help taking care of our precious kitty!!

Erin went above and beyond for my buns… and my apartment. I really appreciate that she was available on short notice. I think my rabbits were definitely taken care of and enjoyed :) I couldn’t ask for anything more. Erin was flexible and had great communication too to set up pet care. Highly recommend :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
