About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up looking after our family dog and helping with neighbors’ pets, and in my 20s and early 30s I regularly sat for, fostered, and checked in on friends’ and community members’ animals—mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional bird, frog, or turtle. I adopted my own cat in my 30s and have lived with multiple pets while sharing homes with roommates. While much of this care was informal, it gave me a wide range of hands-on experience. After a particularly rewarding role walking dogs for a company from 2022 to 2023, I began freelancing and now work with clients through community referrals. I’m just getting back into freelance pet care after taking time off over the past couple of years to recover from injuries, and I’m really looking forward to being active in this work again. During our meet and greet, we can discuss all the ins and outs of your pets needs! Depending on the service, how I care for your pet in your home is variable. Dog walking includes 25 minutes outside, and 5 minutes inside for a little time to refresh their water, and playtime, or cuddle time, depending on what your dog is feeling! Cat visits inside, I tend to go by what one communicates during our meet and greet. Usually it will include cuddles, water refresh, and/or playtime. I will always take my shoes off, and double check to see if I locked your door correctly! :)

About: I have been around animals my whole life and have always taken care to watch cues and communication that animals give to make them feel most comfortable and happy! I have also volunteered at animal shelters to take dogs on walks, feed them, and give them one-on-one attention. Pet care will be my sole job this summer, meaning that I will take full responsibility of the jobs I have with your babies. I want them to enjoy their summer just as much as I will! I make sure to give animals undivided attention when I am with them. Housesitting and walking animals is as much an experience for me as it is for them. Their life is too short to not stop and smell the flowers - quite literally in the cases of dog walks!

He administered her medications reliably and on time, cleaned up accumulated pet hair, and kept her space tidy and comfortable. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the pets he looks after. I came home to a happy, healthy cat, and I am so grateful for the care and attention he provided. Jennifer is responsive, prompt, communicative, and most importantly…kind! I loved the way she talked to our kitty Pablo, and how she really made an effort to connect with him through treats and play. He’s a shy boy and needs someone who is patient and understanding. Jennifer was very accommodating when we booked last minute and also when we had a change of plans during our trip. Highly recommend!
We trust Sydney every time we go away to pet sit for our three cats. She is attentive, professional, and writes the best updates with photos! She takes the time to do little extras like cleaning up litter and messes from the cats, brings up packages, and generally keeps an eye on everything around the house.
