“Thank you for taking such good care of my kitty and keeping me so well update through the whole trip. Very thoughtful and attentive to how he was acting and feeling. Very glad we chose you. Would absolutely rebook in the future.”

“Megan was GREAT! We got back to the house and it didn't smell funky, the cats were in fine shape and everything was just great. Having Megan (and Rover) is such a relief!”

“There’s no doubt at all that I will be returning to Zach for future sitting services for my cat! He did a really great job of taking care of everything we asked, and then went above and beyond expectations. He gave us such thorough updates and sending pictures and videos. He is clearly a very thoughtful, caring person. This was especially highlighted with how he picked up on our biggest concerns for our cat and made sure to put our minds at ease through these updates and pictures. My cat really loved Zach pretty much immediately and I look forward to reaching out to him again. Thank you so much for absolutely everything, Zach! We are more than grateful!”

“Catherine was fantastic! She showed great care for my cats and provided pictures and updates that helped me to feel better about being away from them. I would highly recommend her or hire her to care for them again!”

“She took her time so that my cat who is VERY shy can get used to her and she took plenty of pictures and updated me well while I was away! I would definitely recommend her!”

“Tinley did a great job dropping in on our cats while we were out of town! She was very communicative and reached out to clarify anything unclear, and took some great photos of playtime. Would definitely book again!”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with experience caring for both cats and dogs. I currently have two cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable with feline personalities and routines. I’ve also had dogs in the past and understand the importance of walks, playtime, and keeping pets happy while their owners are away. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own! I’m currently fully available and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for and be flexible with visit times. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely, keep their environment clean and calm, and pay attention to their behavior so they feel safe while you’re away. I also respect clients’ homes and always communicate with updates so you know your pet is doing well.
“Morgan checked in on our cats and they loved her! I appreciated knowing they were getting care and attention and treats. She was good about communication and directions on where things are, etc. Would definitely ask her to watch them again!”

“Trisha, sat for my shy cat Violet. Violet uncharacteristically came out to see Trisha on her visits, which was great. Trisha sent daily photos of Violet and a report of her visit. I highly recommend Trisha ,”

“Julia was fantastic- very flexible, eager to help in any way, and clearly actually played with the cats and gave them affection. We felt at ease knowing they were in good hands. We’d highly recommend Julia and will use her again any time we need a sitter.”

“Amanda was wonderful with my cat, who is known for being a bit spicy and cranky. She also watered a few plants, which is so helpful in the summer time. I’ve already re-booked her for other summer travel!”

“Amazing service as usual! It wasn't until the day after we left for our trip when I realized that I missed a day on the initial booking. Adam was more than willing to go in that day with no notice so our cats wouldn't go a day without food. Thank you Adam, we are so grateful!”

About: I have spent big part of my childhood in a farm village taking care of many different animals. We've always had cats and dogs in our home and I love interacting with them! Now farm days are gone but my love for animals has always been a part of me. I am longing for more time and interactions with them. More time spent with animals equals more happy moments for them and for me too! I would love to pass this worldview to my kids by introducing them to different pets and feel like Rover would be a good way to do so. My experience is not limited to cats and dogs, I can help with all pets! I have individual approach to each pet depending on size, health, age and exercising they need or any specific requirements. I also provide drop-in visits for playing, feeding, walks, etc. I will strictly follow your instructions and respect your preferences. I will send you photos, videos and updates at all times to assure you that your loved one is having a great time. Any specific requests or questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out. :) I am an energetic person with a flexible schedule and look forward to meeting you and your pets! My schedule is build around my appointments and is very flexible. I am an early bird and morning walks or visits are more than welcome. House sitting appointments would require some time in advance for booking. First and foremost I make sure all pets are healthy and happy. They will get appropriate exercise, frequent walks and potty breaks. Playing and training, treats and smiles. I will keep them company and soothe them with some snuggles.
“Kristina was a great catsitter for us - very clear about her timing / schedule, great at communicating during the time we were gone, and everything was clean and tidy when we got home! It looked like our cat had a ton of fun playing with her and snuggling during visits, which is always a huge plus! Would absolutely rebook / recommend her to anyone!”

About: For most of my life, I've been surrounded by dogs. I ensure the dogs I care for are happy, well-fed, and exercised. I'm able to give your dog medication if needed. I work remotely from home, so I can walk dogs as often as necessary, clean any dog messes in and around the house, and ensure that any medication they need to take is given promptly. I always make it a point to know the closest parks and vet, if the owner prefers having or not having contact with other dogs, and how to get in touch if emergencies occur.
About: Hi there! I’m thrilled to offer a warm and welcoming home for your beloved pet. As a work-from-home professional, I’m able to provide your furry friend with plenty of affection and frequent potty breaks. My husband and I live in a pet-friendly home with our sweet dog, Oakley, who absolutely loves meeting new friends, which is why we love boarding animals. Our home features a fully fenced-in backyard and a playroom on the second floor that runs the entire length of the house, perfect for indoor fun on chilly days. With years of experience caring for animals, I prioritize providing a safe and comfortable environment for your pet. We have loved and cared for many animals over the years including our own and get excited every time we get a Rover notification. Working from home allows me to give your pet lots of affection, keep a watchful eye, and provide frequent potty breaks throughout their entire stay. I have a special place in my heart for rescues, special needs, seniors, kittens and puppies who are house and/or crate trained. I have worked with pets of all ages and sizes and am happy to work with you and your pet’s needs.
About: I enjoy taking care of pretty much all types of pets. I just love animals. I've taken care of little guys ranging from dogs and cats to snakes and turtles. I am also very good with puppies and I get along very well with large dogs. I personally raised a Rottweiler and before him I had a pit bull and an Akita. I also tend to take care of some pets for family friends and my moms coworkers. They call me to walk dogs and watch houses. Currently i live with a roommate who also loves animals. I am able to care for and handle all sizes of dogs and cats. I assist my mother with my little sister on Monday evenings and Sunday Afternoons. I also work at a cafe part time in the mornings for 2 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday I personally can't allow pets over right now but when I walk or pet sit I like to let them lead. I don't try to make them do anything they aren't comfortable doing and I feel letting them take the lead allows them to initiate content on their terms. That way trust between us is easier to build. Also a treat never fails.

Evanston cat parents share their Rover experiences
Ingrid really loves and cares about animals, and it showed in her thoughtfulness during our meet and great and in her communication during her visits! She had some suggestions for how to make sure our cat was safe when alone in the house (this was our first time leaving our cat alone for more than 6-7 hours since we got her), which I really appreciated. She gave detailed summaries of her visit and went the extra mile - sending lots of photos and also washing out the cat food dishes!

There’s a reason I’ve hired Megan literally every time I’ve left town since adopting my (then-ten-week-old) cats two years ago — she’s the best! The most responsible and diligent person I’ve ever met (and my cats’ favorite person other than me — and maybe more than me)

Julia was able to help us within relatively short notice (~1 week before we left for our trip) and was communicative and friendly throughout. She came out a few days before our trip to do a complimentary "meet-and-greet" to go over instructions, meet our cats, and generally put us at ease since it was our first time using a sitter via Rover. We looked forward to receiving her daily updates and pictures, and appreciated how she communicated proactively when minor questions came up.
