As a college student, I keep a structured weekly schedule, which allows me to plan pet care visits consistently and reliably. I only have one extracurricular activity, so I have flexibility in my routine for drop-in visits, walks, feedings, and playtime. My drop-ins can be up to 2 hours at a time for about 3 times a day. I’m used to managing my time carefully around classes and responsibilities, so I can commit to showing up when I say I will. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I build it into my daily schedule just like any other important responsibility.

For cats, I ask about litter preferences, hiding spots, and how they typically respond to new people. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can create a safe, comfortable, and consistent experience for your pet while you’re away.

A typical day depends on the pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, I include walks, playtime, and interactive activities like fetch or light training practice if that’s something they’re used to. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and positive interaction so they feel happy and stimulated. For cats, I spend time playing with toys, using wand toys for exercise, or giving affection if they enjoy it. If they’re more independent, I’ll sit nearby and give them calm companionship so they feel comfortable and secure. No matter the pet, I make sure they get attention, enrichment, and a routine that feels familiar. My goal is for them to feel safe, entertained, and cared for while you’re away.

What sets me apart is my long-term, hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I’ve had 12 years of experience caring for dogs and 18 years caring for cats, so I’m very comfortable handling different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. I have experience with puppies and young pets who require patience, consistency, and structure, as well as senior pets who may need a calmer approach and extra attentiveness. I understand how important routine is, and I make sure pets feel safe and secure while their owners are away. Because I’ve grown up around animals, I’m very observant of behavior changes and small details that others might overlook. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.

Leila is SPECTACULAR! I've always relied on friends and neighbors to catsit and never again. She came in to meet my cats and my shy cat was immediately relaxed with her. She also was incredibly communicative and went past above and beyond. After my 3 day trip with only an hour each day I was worried my really happy and social cats would be sad or naughty. Luckily they had a great time with Leila
