Two cats who are used to visitors and other animals. I can also crate animal if requested, use baby fence and adapt to living requirements specific to client needs.
“Katherine is an excellent dog walker. My dog absolutely loves her, and she is always on time and does everything I’ve asked of her. Katherine gives me great peace of mind that my dog will be walked and played with when I’m at work all day.”

“I'll definitely book Jackie again. It's hard to leave your pup in the hands of someone you just met, but Jackie made us feel that Cooper was in good hands. We appreciated her consideration and care with him.”

“Patrick is dependable, thoughtful, and professional. My dog was excited for all walks and had a great time. My dog was relaxed and happy. I recommend Patrick.”

About: I have taken care of my twin labs since they were 6 months old. I potty trained them, taught them how to walk up and down stairs. I walk them twice a day, play outside with them (weather permitting) and feed them and administer meds as needed I currently work part time in the evenings so I am available every day all day and on the weekends. I am available for late night visits as well I can easily crate your dog as necessary or spend time at your house with them so they aren’t lonely. Of course if the weather is nice we will go for a couple of walks or play outside
“So highly recommend Nick for your dog walking / care needs . Nick constantly kept up with our ever growing/changing dog. We can’t say enough about the care and time that Nick had for him.”

About: I am a dog lover who would love to watch over your pet while you’re gone. I have a house in Norwood Park where dogs have free range to roam about and a large fenced in backyard to explore. I am self employed and spend a good amount of time at home. I love dogs & want to use our space to welcome fun visitors! I am home most of the day & am able to let dogs outside & go for walks frequently. If I do need to leave, dogs have free range of the house to explore.
“My doggies love Nelli! She was very patient and understanding with me when it came to introductions. Now I don’t have to worry about being away from my babies while I’m at work! I’m so glad I found her :)”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and am an absolute dog lover! I have a large fenced in yard that dogs love to play in. I look forward to caring for your furry friend and helping with whatever they need. I work from home and can usually adjust my schedule to accommodate your needs. I’m available all day or night and weekends as well. Thank you! I have a dog and three children who will be able to play with your animal while I care for them in my home. I work from the house, so will spend the day with your dog. Your dog will have as much time playing in the backyard that they’d like!
“Pat has a wonderful way with dogs. He’s always punctual and reliable, rain or shine. He’s so good I think he should have his own doggy daycare. My dog is usually very impatient to begin his walk at certain times of the day. But if I tell him Pat is coming, he sits by the window and waits very quietly and patiently until he arrives, and then lavishes Pat with all the affection reserved for his favorite friend. You can’t put a price tag on the way he looks up at Pat with adoring eyes. Highly recommended!”

“Joshua walks our dog everday during the week and he is great. We can tell by the pictures our dog enjoys his time with Josh. He will also contact me or my fiancee if anything is out of the ordinary. I highly recommend using Joshua as a dogwalker!”

“Isaiah was so professional in terms of all the changes and requests I asked him. He went above and beyond for my fur baby while we were away which is why I would recommend him to all fur moms out there. He is the absolute best! Will most definitely book him to walk Russ again.”

About: I've been around animals my whole life, so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I currently have a cat and a dog, and I've also raised five puppies, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with potty training, socialization, and creating healthy routines. I'm available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with open availability on weekends. I'm happy to accommodate morning visits, midday drop-ins, and weekend pet care whenever possible. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In a client's home, I make it a priority to stick to their pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I always make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away.

Amazing, simply amazing! Maria really knows dogs well, and I'm very comfortable with our dog in her care since she knows how to handle him with his prong collar. He's a great walker, but needs to stay away from other dogs on the path! She's the perfect dog walker if you ask me!

Michelle walked my 5 month old puppy the last two nights and I’m so happy. I don’t get home from work until close to midnight so it’s so nice to not have to go for a long walk right now. The walk got her crazy nighttime energy out and now I’m able to catch up on love island comfortably on the couch instead of having to go on a long walk at 1am. Michelle sent some picture updates which was cool. I obviously will be booking again. Thanks for making my life easier.

Elizabeth was an amazing care taker of our dog Sammy. She was very friendly and always on time. She even gave him extra care when he was having tummy issues. She also took the cutest photos of him which really touched our hearts. I would highly recommend Elizabeth for her wonderful care taking services! Excellent job!
We feel so lucky to have found Mary as our dog walker. Our dog Biz absolutely loves her—and Biz is an excellent judge of character, so that says everything! Mary is incredibly reliable, honest, and kind. She’s gentle and attentive, and we always feel completely at ease knowing Biz is in such good hands. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she works with. We highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pet.

Erin is absolutely incredible!!! We have two amazing pups, one who is a nervous, recent rescue. Our newer girl was struggling with a different walker, snapping and growling at each visit. Within minutes of meeting Erin, our little lady had clearly welcomed Erin into the fold. Erin is helping our girl to settle into life and gain more confidence with each walk! I would recommend Erin to anyone!!!!

Suzy has such a gentle aura! Wally made himself right at home. She was great in sending updates and photos. Suzy also made a point to adjust to Wally’s schedule and his training needs; this was a major point for us when looking for a dog sitter. She is reliable, responsive, and incredibly kind.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
