About: Whether your pup needs a place that feels like home while you are out of town or a fun friend to stay with when you are off at work, you will find what you are looking for with me. As an Ex High school teacher, I know how to be patient and still set boundaries. I have been caring for dogs for about 14 years, and have experience with dogs of all sizes. I know how important reliability and consistency is for our four-legged loves. And I will give nothing but love and attention to your cherished friend. I am available to watch your dog in my home Monday through Friday and am around for sleepovers 7 days a week. I currently work part-time from home, so I have plenty of time and attention to lavish on your pup which is what I love to do. I have a fenced-in yard and the ability to give your special friend a lot of attention. I take oodles of pictures and document our walks, so you know your pup is having fun. I also write personalized texts from your furry companion throughout their visit.

She grew up with a rottweiler, then wiener dogs, and had some cats too. She loved animals from a young age and never wavered. Last year, Wendy started volunteering at Animal House Cat shelter in St. Louis, MO. There she socialized cats and cleaned their enclosures. Some of the shyest and most feral cats befriended Wendy during her time there. Needless to say, Wendy is not intimidated by people's pets. About: I grew up having two dogs in my care for the last 25 years. Currently have two small dogs in my family. I know your animals are family and I will treat them with the best care. I am experienced with all sizes and ages. If your animal is high energy that is no issue I just left the active duty military and will be in the Berwyn, IL area for the next 3 months. Schedule is free all days of the week, just doing this to keep busy. Hours are very accommodating. During walks we will stick to quieter streets with less traffic, I keep my dogs on long retractable leashes but would prefer short leashes for service walks. Would love to take your dog on a one mile run to burn off energy if that is requested. Will send happy walk pictures via text. During drop ins I will require brief instructions you wish me to follow. Have no issue playing fetch or tug.
