“Kelly did such a great job again and went above and beyond! Me and my dog both look forward to when Kelly is coming! Me because she is so reliable and thorough and Flops cuz he loves her and has fun with her! Can't say enough good things about Kelly!”

“Coleen was so nice! She even came back to take care of my baby 30 minutes after our original time when I’d forgotten to text her the updated code. I would have tipped her more if Rover didn’t have a 30% rule!”

“Amanda did an amazing job watching Cora! She took lots of cute pictures and kept me very well updated, especially with her medicine. She gave her lots of attention and Cora looked very happy to have it 😊”

“Samantha was a great addition to me leaving my pups for a vacation and not having extra anxiety!!! The dogs seemed to love her company and were able to get their potty break during the day without holding it too long. She was patient and very detailed with her updates and pictures during each one of her visits!!! Thanks so much!!!”

“Karina did a great job dropping in on our cats, and with short notice. She sent lots of pictures and updates. It was comforting to know our cats were in good hands.”

“Faye is such a lifesaver! Our sweet girl is incredibly shy with people and we know she and our cat, Gus, will be in caring hands when Faye's with them. Thank you SO much for taking such good care of our babies!”

“Camille is absolutely phenomenal with my Pomeranian and bird. She played with my dog and Apollonia could not wait until she came for her visits. I will definitely call on Camille again to care for my animals. I would recommend Camille to anyone needing a warm, caring, responsible person to watch their best friends”

“Yulissa did a wonderful job of taking care of our two kitties while we were on vacation. We received photos every day with reports on how the more skittish of the two was doing. This was our first time working with Yulissa and we’re so happy with the job she did.”

“Helped out very last minute for long term care of 2 cats. Great communication, reliable, and helpful. Great experience and would absolutely recommend Crystal to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: My name is Daniella. I am 24 years old and working with animals is what my life is about. All my life I have had my own pets and I have also worked at an animal hospital for the past 8 years! I am a college graduate with a degree in Biology and I’m here to make sure your fur babies are happy and safe! I have lots of experience with animals and I love any kind. You have a cat? No problem! 5 dogs? (It’s okay I do too!) consider me to watch your lovely animals! I promise that I won’t let you down! I am currently a full time vet tech! I am free pretty much every Sunday and Wednesday and Saturday afternoons after 3pm. I am off some Mondays as well. I would love to be able to work with your schedule as well! Bringing pets into my home won’t always be an option for me but I am more than happy to stay at your home to watch your fur babies! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats myself so bringing in other pets does not always work well for my little guysz
“Rhianna goes above and beyond! She will care for your pets as if they are her own. She plays with them, give them loves and snuggles, even teaches them tricks! I would highly recommend her to anyone and will continue using her for as long as she’s available.”

“Maddie is very responsive, reliable, and accommodating with last-minute requests. She’s great with Ollie and always leaves thoughtful notes and pictures after her visits. We really appreciate her help!”

“Susana did a great job with our cat over New Year's weekend. This was after graciously rescheduling with us after a snowstorm threw a wrench in our Christmas plans. We came home to a happy, healthy kitty. She had even cleaned the metal food cans, which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommended!”

“I had a great experience with my dog sitter! She did an amazing job taking care of my dogs and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated the care and attention she gave them. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I would absolutely book with her again! 🐶❤️”

“Abby came in and did some drop in visits with my dog, while I had a long work day. She took him for a walk, feed him, and kept him company. She kept me updated, sent pictures, and really treated my dog like as if he was her own! I would definitely hire again, and so should you!”

“Natasha was an amazing Rover for my cat! She kept me in the loop for all check-ins and loved playing with him and keeping him company! I highly recommend booking her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Elmwood Park
Melanie was wonderful with our cat Mino, who is very shy with strangers. She gave him space when he needed it and kept us updated every day with detailed messages. By the end of the stay, they had become good friends, which is a big deal for him! We’d absolutely book her again.

Zena is a bit of a diva when it comes to new people. After the first visit Emily "Quinn" was good friends with Zena. It was easy to tell from the updates how well Zena was doing. When we got back Zena was in great shape. Quinn is great at this. You should strongly consider hiring her to look after your pets.

Yulissa took great care of our kiddies. All cat areas were clean when we came home, and the bowls were filled. Yulissa also communicated very well. One of our cats needs medicine, and is not easy to deal with. Yulissa always let us know how it went. She clearly established a good relationship with the cat that needed medicine, because she let Yulissa brush her 😊. Overall, we really recommend Yulissa..

Liliia did a great job! This is my first time using Rover and was very nervous about it. Liliia sent me updates daily on my cat Gertrude. She sent photos everyday and updates on Gertrude. I greatly appreciate it. It made me less worried about Gertrude and able to enjoy my trip more (be present on my trip). Will definitely rebook Liliia! Thank you so much Liliia!!

Wendy is the most amazing pet sitter we have ever hired. Rover.com is lucky to have her on board. Communicaton: Outstanding. Pet Care: Phenomenal. Attention to Detail: Perfection. Wendy made sure all of the little things were taken care of as well, like sweeping around the litter box, bringing in mail, washing down heavy use areas.... holy cow, is this girl GOOD. Highly recommended.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
