“Kelly is amazing. She goes above and beyond to take care of my pups. She even shoveled a path for my little dogs to walk in the snow. She also wipes their feet so there are no paw prints on my floors. She truly cares for them as if they are her own and takes such great care of my home too.”

“Heather did an Awesome Job caring for our Fur Babies!!! She was so reliable and did a Great job communicating with me every visit! They were both happy when we got home :) I highly recommend her for any pet care!!! Thanks again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I’ve raised many puppies and taken care of them into their senior days. I’ve provided pure love, safety, care, and tons of cuddles with many many many doggies. My own throughout my entire life, and for many friends, neighbors, family, and clients. My schedule is pretty open and flexible right now. So I’d have all the time to give your pups all my time and attention. Availability 7 days a week. I have a fenced yard. A safety gate blocking the stairs to the basement so no little doggies that might have trouble slipping on stairs can get to them or the basement. A dogs safety is always my utmost priority.
About: I worked in a professional veterinary setting for over 17 years. I worked as a kennel attendant and also as the manager of the boarding facility. For the last 15 years I have built up a clientele in the market of pet sitting, dog walking and play dates. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, pocket pets and even chickens. My house has been full of pets quite literally since the day that I was born. I am a life long animal lover who has a passion to care for and protect animals. My schedule is currently very flexible and open. I am available to stay at your home overnight or to pop in during the day as needed. I will work my current schedule around the needs of your pets. I am available all days of the week, including weekends. I pride myself on providing exceptional care in accordance with the directions given by my client. I understand that different pets have different needs so not all jobs will be the same. I welcome any written instructions or advice in order to provide the best tailored care for your pet. I am capable of providing care for all energy levels and personality types. With my experience at a veterinary office, I have worked with many different temperaments and many different breeds. I have experience walking dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I have traveled to many different suburbs and areas in order to provide care.
“Super nice and great at what she does. Sent me pictures and gave a description after each visit. She provided peace of mind while I was away on my trip. Thanks again!”

About: I’ve often been told I’m a bit of a “dog whisperer” because pups seem to gravitate toward me, and I think it’s because they can sense my genuine love for animals. I’ve been a dog lover since childhood, growing up with 4 family dogs, and that passion has only grown over the years. I recently cared for my own senior pomeranian, who lived to 18, so I understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention that senior pups need. On the other end of the spectrum, I know the energy and consistency it takes to care for playful puppies. Right now, I share my home with two spoiled rescue dogs, Chico (chihuahua) and Squeaks (tripod Pomeranian) who remind me daily how much joy and comfort pets bring into our lives and family. I have taught my dogs how to sit, stay, down, shake, come, and spin. So maybe I can even teach your dog some new tricks :) I also know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member at home. My goal is to be their bright spot while you’re away, whether that’s a walk, a potty break, or simply some kisses, belly rubs, and companionship. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule to fit in drop-ins, potty breaks, quick walks (5-10) min, kisses and belly rubs during the day while you are away! Right now I only offer drop-ins, potty breaks, and quick walks for your furry babies. I do not offer any home services at my personal residence. If any service is requested outside of the normal services offered, I would be happy to help and discuss prior to my drop-in visit.
“Rhianna goes above and beyond! She will care for your pets as if they are her own. She plays with them, give them loves and snuggles, even teaches them tricks! I would highly recommend her to anyone and will continue using her for as long as she’s available.”

“Joshua was excellent to work with! He sent picture updates every day and even brought his own laser pointer to play with the cats. We were so glad to leave Skamp and Oats in such good care. He also came and did a pre-visit with us to meet the kittens first. I am a bit of a helicopter first time cat mom and Joshua far exceeded my expectations and followed our somewhat over the top instructions with ease! Re: new automated litter box. :)”
About: As a previous dog owner of 2, I know the attention, affection and care that is required and expected. There isn't a time a can recall without a dog being part of my life. I have cared for dogs of all types, sizes and ages. In addition, I have experience in medical distribution. Know that your dog will receive exceptional love and attention from me as if they were my own. My home is open to your pet whether I'm away at work or working from home during week and weekends. Opened to work with your pets needs. I have a high-fenced yard. There are no young children nor any other pets in the home, therefore your dog will have the ability to roam freely throughout the house and yard.
About: I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs through daily walks, drop-ins, and longer stays — from high-energy breeds to shy or anxious pups who need a softer approach. I’m very attentive to details, routines, and behavior changes, and I always make sure each dog feels safe and understood. My weekly routine is very flexible, which makes pet care easy to build around. I split my time between volunteer work, errands, and studying at the library, and I schedule those things around my pet visits. Because of that flexibility, I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks. When I’m doing dog-sitting, I structure my day around the dog’s routine — feeding, bathroom breaks, playtime, and whatever helps them feel comfortable. I’m used to adjusting my schedule so pets get the consistency and care they’re used to. Their routine becomes my routine. I follow the pet’s routine exactly as the owner lays it out. Every dog is different, so I match their needs — feeding schedule, walk times, bathroom breaks, and any special instructions. I keep the home clean, make sure doors and crates are secured, and always double-check leashes, harnesses, and gates before we go out. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels, especially with anxious dogs or seniors, and I give them plenty of reassurance and calm company. I send updates and photos during each visit so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is to make the pet feel safe in their own space and keep everything running smoothly until their family comes home.

“Arianna is great and River adores her. She provides helpful updates regarding her visits and is very responsive. Arianna is very professional and met with us before we hired her to meet River, understand her routine and ensure that she understood exactly what we needed for River’s care. She took detailed notes and asked questions. She has been a huge help on the days that we’ve needed her and I recommend her services.”

About: Since I was 3 I've been living with dogs. But having a dog that was actually mine, I was six and my mom bought the family a female Pomeranian for Christmas. Then from there our love of animals grew. at one time we had two Pomeranians and a German Shepard. I would walk them, feed and water them. And give them all the attention and love I could supply. I also would take care of my aunt and uncles dogs while they were gone, which sometimes included me to give oral medicine to their senior dog.
About: My husband and I have always been dog people. Growing up he had two labradors and I had a beagle. When we bought our house we adopted a senior lab. We spoiled him as much as we could and loved him unconditionally. After losing Ceasar two years ago, we walked into an animal shelter and that's where our baby, Uru-Kai, stole our hearts. I don't work on weekends, I have holidays off and the summer off. I already have a dog so I know how important it is to stick to a routine. Our current dog goes out on four walks a day. If he needs to go potty because he drank too much water we let him in the back yard. If he seems bored he rings the doorbell to be let in the backyard. When we need to leave the house our dog is put in his crate to ensure that he's safe and stays out of trouble while we're gone.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover based in Chicago with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I currently volunteer with PAWS Chicago and Chicago Animal Care & Control, where I’ve worked with everything from high-energy puppies to nervous and reactive dogs. Through this, I’ve developed strong skills in dog body language, safe introductions, de-escalation, and building trust with dogs who need a little extra patience. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends, family, and clients over the years—offering walking, boarding, medication administration, light grooming, and basic training support. At home, I’ve raised and cared for my own rescue dogs, Starlord, Archie and Harlee, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust who truly “gets” your dog. Clients often tell me I’m the closest thing to them when they’re away—and that’s exactly how I approach every dog in my care. Whether your pup is social, shy, or needs structure, I tailor my approach to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. What I offer: • Experience with reactive, anxious, and high-energy dogs • Safe management of multi-dog households (or separation when needed) • Reliable, communicative, and attentive care • Basic Obedience Lessons If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, I’d love to help. I am currently a work from home mom so I am available to meet most schedule demands. This is also makes it easier to be available on shorter notices. Walks and drops in are available daily. The option for roller blading or biking also available. In home the option to be part of our daily life, with our two dogs and daughters is up to the temperament and request of the dog parents. We also have the ability to keep our guest dog separate from our current dogs at the request of the dog parents. Both crated and free range dogs welcome. In home our dogs often walk, bike, roller blade or hike nearby at the Des Plaines River Trail. We practice basic commands daily and enjoy structured daily toy time. This can be separate or together with our family as defined above.
“My flight was delayed because of the snow in Chicago Ashley eased my anxiety and took care of my girl until I could get back. She also washed her bedding when she had an accident in her bed. I really appreciated her going above and beyond.”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I grew up in a house fostering cats, which taught me how to support animals as they adjust to new environments, routines, and people. At home, I have six cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple pets and understanding different personalities, from shy and independent to playful and affectionate. I also have experience providing medical care. One of my cats is on seizure medication, and I am responsible for administering those medications consistently and safely. Because of this, I am very attentive to routines, medication schedules, and monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. I understand how important it is to follow instructions closely and keep pet parents updated for peace of mind. Overall, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m patient, calm, and reliable, and I truly enjoy providing a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for animals while their owners are away. I’m a nursing student with a strong background in caregiving, responsibility, and attention to detail. I attend classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Monday being my longest day on campus. I have Thursdays and weekends fully free, which allows me plenty of time to focus on pet care, playtime, and companionship. I live alone in a quiet apartment, creating a calm and low-stress environment that’s especially great for cats. I also have one friendly cat of my own, so I understand feline routines, boundaries, and the importance of maintaining a clean, safe space. I’m very mindful about introductions and always prioritize comfort and safety. As a nursing student, I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable following care instructions, including feeding schedules and medications. I treat every pet with patience and kindness, and I truly enjoy providing a loving, peaceful home while pet parents are away. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I understand that every cat is different, and I take the time to respect each cat’s personality, routine, and boundaries. Whether a cat is social or more independent, I let them adjust at their own pace and never force interaction. I follow care instructions closely, keep a calm and clean environment, and pay attention to any changes in behavior so pets feel safe and comfortable at all times.

River Grove pet parents share their Rover experiences
We were happy to have Karolly visit our senior kitty Camilla. She took her time during her visit and made sure to make a great connection with Camilla each time. She was communicative and professional, and we felt confident in her services. We would definitely recommend Karolly!

Sam was wonderful as always. I know Dany is in good hands with her. I was especially thankful to Sam who was super flexible in helping me out when my flights were cancelled and I couldn’t get home. In a super stressful situation, knowing my puppy was fully taken care of was a HUGE load off.

Nataliia did an excellent job taking care of our kitties while my husband and I were on our honeymoon! I always get nervous leaving the cats for longer periods of time, but Nataliia totally put me at ease. She is very communicative and sent lots of great photos while we were away. Even our normally shy and skittish cat felt comfortable around her. I would definitely recommend!

My cat received caring and helpful attention from Kara, the cat sitter. Especially when, as she is so friendly, kitty Francine did let her approach! It's the first time ever in this former hoarding victim's life, a stranger was allowed to see, and photograph, Francine! Thank you so much Kara!
