Inside the home, they have a comfortable and safe environment where they can relax and spend time with the family. I want pets to feel at home and be part of our family life, so I do not use crates as part of their daily routine. They are free to move around the safe areas of the house and yard, always taking into consideration their personality, needs, and their owner’s instructions. I have a one and a half year old Yorkie who is part of our family and is used to enjoying the house and yard freely. Of course, whenever I care for another pet, I respect their boundaries, energy level, and any special instructions provided by their family. If I care for your pet in your home, I maintain their usual routine and carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, playtime, rest, and any other needs. About: Hi! My name is Leah, I have had experience with all types of dog sizes and breeds. I myself have grown up with two sweetheart pitbulls, sadly lost both due to different types of cancer and old age :( (12 & 14). I now have a Shihtzu(2), and Yorkie(3) who are apart of my family! I manage my time really well, so I can make anything early in the morning,/on my lunch break work- plus weekends or after work. I have always had dogs my entire life. I grew up with a chocolate lab mix, then when she passed away my family got a three legged black lab and a chesapeake bay retriever. Then, when I was in college, a chocolate lab climbed into my car and after months of trying to find his owners, I decided to keep him. Those puppies have since passed, but our family has 2 giant black labs currently. I’ve also had 4 Guinea Pigs who I loved dearly. I currently work from home part of the time and love four legged angels (sometimes 3, I had a 3 legged dog growing up). I am available in the early mornings, evenings and on the weekends consistently, but can work out weekday daytime availability with advanced notice. I make sure the animals all have the appropriate food/water setups at all times (per owners instructions depending on pet’s specific needs), as well as making sure the temperature is comfortable for the pet. I prioritize exercise and bathroom breaks for each pet. There is never a lack of social interaction when I am around. Pretty much, I view pets as family and think they deserve the best. If they have specific requirements, I will always follow whatever rules the owner requests and talk through any concerns before booking.

Needed a cat sitter somewhat last minute for a foster cat I'm taking care of. Our foster is still very skiddish around new people but Samantha did a great job and always found her little hiding spots. She was also super accommodating when I asked to adjust the number of drop-ins for the last half of the booking.
Melanie was wonderful with our cat Mino, who is very shy with strangers. She gave him space when he needed it and kept us updated every day with detailed messages. By the end of the stay, they had become good friends, which is a big deal for him! We’d absolutely book her again.

But as I have said in the other one, Chris is a fantastic pet sitter who truly knows and loves animals.
