I currently volunteer with PAWS Chicago and Chicago Animal Care & Control, where I’ve worked with everything from high-energy puppies to nervous and reactive dogs. I am currently a work from home mom so I am available to meet most schedule demands. This is also makes it easier to be available on shorter notices. Walks and drops in are available daily. The option for roller blading or biking also available. In home the option to be part of our daily life, with our two dogs and daughters is up to the temperament and request of the dog parents. We also have the ability to keep our guest dog separate from our current dogs at the request of the dog parents. Both crated and free range dogs welcome. In home our dogs often walk, bike, roller blade or hike nearby at the Des Plaines River Trail. We practice basic commands daily and enjoy structured daily toy time. This can be separate or together with our family as defined above.

About: I’ve often been told I’m a bit of a “dog whisperer” because pups seem to gravitate toward me, and I think it’s because they can sense my genuine love for animals. I’ve been a dog lover since childhood, growing up with 4 family dogs, and that passion has only grown over the years. I recently cared for my own senior pomeranian, who lived to 18, so I understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention that senior pups need. On the other end of the spectrum, I know the energy and consistency it takes to care for playful puppies. Right now, I share my home with two spoiled rescue dogs, Chico (chihuahua) and Squeaks (tripod Pomeranian) who remind me daily how much joy and comfort pets bring into our lives and family. I have taught my dogs how to sit, stay, down, shake, come, and spin. So maybe I can even teach your dog some new tricks :) I also know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member at home. My goal is to be their bright spot while you’re away, whether that’s a walk, a potty break, or simply some kisses, belly rubs, and companionship. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule to fit in drop-ins, potty breaks, quick walks (5-10) min, kisses and belly rubs during the day while you are away! Right now I only offer drop-ins, potty breaks, and quick walks for your furry babies. I do not offer any home services at my personal residence. If any service is requested outside of the normal services offered, I would be happy to help and discuss prior to my drop-in visit.

I am currently a student, which gives me a very flexible schedule to care for your pets! I am completely free every weekday after 1:00 PM for walks, drop-ins, and evening playtimes. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, my classes finish even earlier, so I am available starting at 11:00 AM. My weekends are 100% open for boarding or house sitting. Because I'm home studying often, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and potty breaks they need. When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is keeping them comfortable and stress-free by maintaining their normal routine. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications, making sure your pet gets the exercise, attention, and care they’re used to. About: Background: For the past six years I have dedicated my time to working with animals. When I was in middle school, my family adopted our first two dogs. Soon after, I started housesitting and walking family and friends' pets, igniting my passion. After seeing how rewarding working with animals was, I devoted my professional career towards working in an animal-related field. Relevant Experience: Since highschool, I have worked at two different dog daycares as an animal handler and dog trainer. I have also worked in animal shelters as a volunteer and employee. These experiences have given me the opportunities to work with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I have experience medicating animals orally and through injections. As a dog handler, I became comfortable working with groups of dogs and recognizing body language in play. As a trainer, I implemented a positive-reward based training plan to work on basic manners as well as certain behavior adjustments. Lastly, working at animal shelters gave me knowledge of animal vaccines and medications as well as comfortably handling dogs and cats of any temperament. What I can offer: I offer dog walks, drop-in visits and pet visiting at the owner's residence. I am able to provide an active and loving environment for your animals while you are away, this can include any amount of exercise needed for your pet! While I am caring for your animal, I will be available to reach 24/7 in case of emergencies. I am also happy to answer any training and behavior questions you may have about your pets.
