About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
“She is a perfect sitter. My cat definitely enjoyed spending time with her, and she made sure that he was doing well and cleaned up the mess. Amazing sitter and would 100% recommend!!!”

“Marissa took the time to meet Avery a couple days before her visit. She was responsive to messages, asked all the questions to know details about Avery and her behaviors/tendencies, and showed the perfect mix of professionalism and care. She made me feel at ease, knowing that Avery was in good hands. I will definitely request Marissa’s help again the future.”

“She was super sweet and took great care of my cat while I was on vacation for a week. She sent the cutest pictures everyday and even when back another time when my travel plans go delayed!”

About: Hi! I'm Eloise, I've grown up around animals since I was a baby. My grandmas always had cats and dogs (poodles especially lol) and I spent lots of time with their pets and cared for them when they were away. I have had my own cat since I was 7 and at 15 my family got our first dog who has since passed. We now have one dog, Twiggy and the same cat who is still kicking! So, I have lifelong experience in loving, responsible, and attentive pet care. I also frequently care for friends, neighbors, and other clients dogs and cats. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes and personalities! I also have experience with caring for animals with specific health needs, giving them medicine, etc. My cousin is a vet and I have learned a lot from her! I would love to be a sitter or walker or just a buddy for your pet and I will always treat every pet I care for like my own, with so much love!!! I am currently home for the summer from college so I have a very open schedule! I can be there for your pet whenever needed and am happy to work with you in terms of scheduling to meet your needs! When sitting in someone else's home I always respect the space I am in and keep it the way I found it - I am a very clean and organized person! I of course will respect any home rules or expectations and I make an effort to discuss these prior to care to make sure that everyone is comfortable. I am also more than happy to send pics or even facetime if you miss your pets while you are away and want to be assured that they are happy and healthy <3

I have experience and am very good with both dogs and cats. I would love to help you out with your animal needs! Im currently working part time locally so I have plenty of extra time to take care of your pets. I would love to get some regular to be able to have a busier and reliable work week. About: Hi, I’m Abby! Neighbors, friends and family have trusted me to take care of their pets while away. I’m trustworthy, safe and reliable. I follow all directions given, and communicate well. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk, take care and play with your pet while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible. About: Hi, I’m Sam! My passion for animals started early—I began volunteering at local animal shelters at 14, walking dogs and helping with cat enrichment. Wanting to learn more about animal behavior, I completed a six-month Canine Psychology course at AnimalSense, focusing on positive reinforcement training. From there, I began working professionally as a dog walker and gained nearly 30 years of experience in various animal care facilities. Now, I work from home, offering boarding services in a cozy home setting. I keep my groups small to provide each pet with a calm, personalized experience, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their stay. I’d love to connect and help make your pet’s time away from home as relaxing and enjoyable as possible! I mostly work from home, so I’m with the pups for the majority of the day. Occasionally, I step out for a few hours to do dog walks, but otherwise, you’ll find me hanging out at home with the crew, keeping things calm and cozy I have an open home where pets can roam and enjoy plenty of playtime. My 8-foot fenced yard with secure locking gates gives them a safe space to run around. Inside, I keep multiple water bowls around the house and have slow feeders available for my more "hungry" guests. When boarding multiple dogs, I make sure to separate everyone during meals and when they’re alone to keep things calm and comfortable. I also have a variety of crates in different sizes and lots of comfy bedding to ensure each pet feels right at home

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Park
Chris was wonderful! I can’t say enough good things. My cats are very shy and he had them literally eating out of his hands on day one. He kept me informed with photos and texts and was so gentle and kind. I felt completely safe and full of trust that he had them comfortable during the heatwave that hit this week. He even did some random house tasks. He is incredible. Book him. Pay him. Tip him. It’s more than worth it.
Robin is an absolutely stellar cat sitter! She kept our babies well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week! We got tons of photos and updates during her visits. She genuinely cared for the kitties and wanted them to feel loved while we were gone. Can’t recommend Robin enough!

Liliia was a superb cat-sitter! I was able to reach out, in short suspense and in desperate need, to Liliia and quickly/conveniently book her. She was open to doing whatever it takes to make me feel comfortable with her and took the time to get to know my cats while I was away. Also extremely great at communicating quickly and effectively! I would 100% book her again if her availability was open! If you get a chance, make sure you book her as well!

Megan was so friendly and easy to work with!! She took fabulous pictures of my cats while caring for them, and provided excellent care. One of my cats really doesn’t like anyone, but seemed to look forward to Megan’s visits :) the peace of mind she was able to give while I was on vacation was priceless. Will definitely book with her again!!

Yulissa took care of my cat, Floyd, for a day (2 visits). She followed the instructions I provided her for his food and medicine. She sent photo updates along with a message for each visit. I had also gotten a package earlier than expected and she kindly brought it inside my house. She did communicate when she was going to be running a little late, which I appreciated.

We were happy to have Karolly visit our senior kitty Camilla. She took her time during her visit and made sure to make a great connection with Camilla each time. She was communicative and professional, and we felt confident in her services. We would definitely recommend Karolly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Park. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
