About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
About: Hi, I’m Abby! Neighbors, friends and family have trusted me to take care of their pets while away. I’m trustworthy, safe and reliable. I follow all directions given, and communicate well. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk, take care and play with your pet while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible. I make sure your pets are in safe areas and I follow all directions given to me. I care for them like they are my own, and respect your home and space.
About: Hi! I'm Eloise, I've grown up around animals since I was a baby. My grandmas always had cats and dogs (poodles especially lol) and I spent lots of time with their pets and cared for them when they were away. I have had my own cat since I was 7 and at 15 my family got our first dog who has since passed. We now have one dog, Twiggy and the same cat who is still kicking! So, I have lifelong experience in loving, responsible, and attentive pet care. I also frequently care for friends, neighbors, and other clients dogs and cats. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes and personalities! I also have experience with caring for animals with specific health needs, giving them medicine, etc. My cousin is a vet and I have learned a lot from her! I would love to be a sitter or walker or just a buddy for your pet and I will always treat every pet I care for like my own, with so much love!!! I am currently home for the summer from college so I have a very open schedule! I can be there for your pet whenever needed and am happy to work with you in terms of scheduling to meet your needs! When sitting in someone else's home I always respect the space I am in and keep it the way I found it - I am a very clean and organized person! I of course will respect any home rules or expectations and I make an effort to discuss these prior to care to make sure that everyone is comfortable. I am also more than happy to send pics or even facetime if you miss your pets while you are away and want to be assured that they are happy and healthy <3

“I am so happy that we met Jacqui and she agreed to walk our two year old pup for the week. Jacqui was extremely clear, communicative, professional trustworthy, flexible, consistent and kind both during the booking and the week. Our dog, Max loved his walks (she took some great photos). We can’t wait to work with Jacqui again - she’s got a lifelong friend in Max and client in us!”

“Suzanne has been wonderful for Prince. She is timely, energetic, and takes him on long walks. It's very helpful knowing someone who cares about dogs is in my neighborhood.”

About: Anyone who knows me knows I’m the person who immediately notices the animals wherever I go. I’ve always had a special connection with animals and love getting to find out their individual personalities. I started pet sitting for family and neighbors as a teenager and have continued caring for pets on and off ever since. I have a rescue cat that I raised from just a few days old, but he acts more like a dog most of the time. I’m obsessed with him! Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or anxious, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe and cared for. Your dogs or cats are literally family members and I’ll treat them like they’re my own! I’m currently in the off-season with work, which means I have a very flexible schedule during the day, evenings, and nights. Spending time with animals is genuinely one of my favorite things, so I’m excited to give your pet the attention, playtime, exercise, or quiet companionship they need. My goal is to keep their routine consistent and make them feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else because I’d want the same peace of mind if it were my own. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you confidence that they’re getting the care they deserve. I’ll respect your home, follow your care instructions carefully, pay attention to the little things, and send regular updates and photos so you never have to wonder how they’re doing.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of various sizes and age groups since 2012. Teachers, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and comfort their pets. My new schedule means I have plenty of time for active dog walks and quiet, cozy cat cuddles throughout the day. I work as a part-time intern and have flexible weekdays open, so I can offer consistent, reliable availability for walks and drop-in visits. I love building a routine with pets I care for and treat every visit like it matters I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I follow owners' instructions closely, keep pets safe and comfortable, and always leave a clear update after each visit.
About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, including one who lived to 22, and my two cats are now my family. 🐱 I’ve also spent years caring for and walking my in-laws’ Shiba Inu and Pomeranian, so I have a big soft spot for dogs too! 🐶 I’m very patient, loving, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy playing with pets, feeding them, cleaning up after them, and giving them plenty of affection. I’m newer to professional pet sitting, but I’m excited to build my experience and will also be volunteering at an animal shelter. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own. ❤️🐾 My schedule is very flexible, so I’m available most days and can easily accommodate different pet care needs and routines. I’m able to offer drop-in visits throughout the day and can be flexible with timing to make things easier for both you and your pet. I’m very patient, gentle, and loving with animals, and I always want them to feel safe and comfortable in their own home. I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, playtime, litter box cleaning, and any other basic care your pet needs. I’ll also make sure their space is clean and secure before I leave, and I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would give my own.
“Great walker! She was very communicative and always send plenty of pictures and a great blurb about the walks. And my puppy loved her right from the start of the meet and greet. I have already gone ahead and rebooked her!”

About: I've lived with dogs ever since I was born. I currently share responsibility of caring for the family dog (who is shown on my profile). I have experience with their care, such as daily walks, feeds, play time, giving necessary medications, and whatever else they need. I also have done cat sitting over the past few years through Rover and outside of Rover, as well as petsitting for birds, rabbits, turtles, and lizards. I even now have a turtle of my own! I currently have little to no limitations that would get in the way of me from doing my duties in caring for your wonderful pet(s). I am typically always home so I would be able to keep your fur baby company and give them whatever attention they would need. I have a backyard fence and a single small dog who can be a bit skittish, but ultimately sleeps most of the day.

About: I’ve been taking care of my neighbors and friends pets since I was still at Longfellow! I’m a life long animal lover and need to save up before going away to school in the fall. I have experience and am very good with both dogs and cats. I would love to help you out with your animal needs! Im currently working part time locally so I have plenty of extra time to take care of your pets. I would love to get some regular to be able to have a busier and reliable work week. I have a child free and pet free household, so if it works for my schedule, I could safely and easily have your pet spend the night at my house if needed.

Another great booking with Rosario! We booked her for drop in visits for our dog while we were out of state for a wedding. She always sends lots of photos and videos of our boy having a great time - putting us at ease that he’s in good hands. Our return flight got cancelled multiple times and Rosario was so helpful and flexible with extending her visits so our boy wasn’t left alone until we finally got home two days later. We are so grateful

Amazing, simply amazing! Maria really knows dogs well, and I'm very comfortable with our dog in her care since she knows how to handle him with his prong collar. He's a great walker, but needs to stay away from other dogs on the path! She's the perfect dog walker if you ask me!

Christian walked our dog twice daily while we were on vacation. He was prompt for all walks and patient with our energetic dog. Our dog was excited to see him! Christian was available with late notice after our original dog walker went AWOL. We are so thankful for him!!

Amaya was wonderful. My dog was pretty scared of some fireworks and wouldn't go for a potty walk. Amaya hung out with her the whole time, and even offered to breifly come back to try a quick potty break, which worked! She went above and beyond. And was incredibly patient. 5 stars, 100%.

Shannon took great care walking our dog, who can be stubborn. She was patient with him and gave him lots of pets and encouragement, and over time he became more cooperative. She was also flexible with timing and is easy to work with. He said to give her five stars.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
